Dhari Devi temple is a famous shrine . The shrine is found just about 15 km from Srinagar Garhwal, on the banks of the Alaknanda River among Srinagar and Rudraprayag in Kalyasaur town. Dhari Devi shrine is perhaps the main love puts in Garhwal Region of Uttarakhand, India. Goddess Dhari Devi is considered as the defender of the Char Dhams in Uttarakhand.

History and Legend :
There is a legend which expressed that once in view of the flood in Alaknanda stream the symbol of Goddess Kali got struck against a major stone. Then, at that point individuals of the Dharo town heard the heavenly voice of the Goddess and they fixed the symbol of Goddess Kali at, where the sanctuary is available. After this occurrence, the sanctuary is known as Dhari Devi sanctuary.
