Jyeshtha Gauri, one of the Nine Gauri temples that are worshipped throughout Vasantha Nav Ratri is the Jyeshta Gauri temple (9 days preceding Rama Navami day).


The second day of Navratri is devoted to Goddess Gauri in the form of Goddess Jyeshtha Gauri. A big number of devotees visit Kashi on this day to adore this form of Goddess. Devotees who visit Kashi and get the darshan of Goddess Jyeshtha Gauri are said to have great success in their lives.

It is believed that a girl who may be very unfortunate would become extremely fortunate if she goes to the Jyeshtha Gauri Temple and prays with devotion then she will be gifted a blessing called, Saubhagyavati.
