The first day of Shardiya Navratri is devoted to the initial form of Goddess Durga, Goddess Shailputri Durga.
Legend
According to legend, this incarnation of Goddess Durga married Lord Shiva. She is known as Goddess Shailputri Durga since she was the daughter of the Himalayan King.
A crescent moon is painted on the forehead of the goddess Shailputri Durga (Parvati), who is shown holding two hands. In her right hand, she holds a trident, and in her left, a lotus flower. The bull, Mount Nandi, is where she rides.
It is claimed that in her previous life, she was the daughter of King Daksha, and her name was Sati. Goddess Sati married Lord Shiva. In her rebirth, she was born as Shailraj Himalaya’s daughter and was known as Shailputri Durga, also known as Parvati or Hemvati. She is said to eradicate any issues and hurdles that her worshippers experience.
As soon as she awakens, she starts her rise as the root chakra’s Devi. moving out of the Muladhara chakra while perched atop a cow. The waking Shakti, starting her search for Lord Shiva or moving closer to Lord shiva, is something that she experiences from her father to her spouse.
As a result, on the first day of Navratri pooja, Yogis put Muladhara at the forefront of their thoughts. Their spiritual discipline starts with this. This is where they began their Yogasadha. Shailputri is the Muladhara Shakti that can be experienced inside oneself and sought at deeper levels of yogic meditation. Because of Purna Prakriti Durga’s Shailputri element, which is the rock of spiritual standing, the entire world is strengthened.
