About The Durgiana Mandir, Amritsar, Punjab

The Durgiana Mandir is a Hindu sanctuary situated in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India.Though a Hindu sanctuary, its engineering is like the Sikh Golden Temple. This sanctuary gets its name from the Goddess Durga, the central Goddess who is venerated here. Murtis of Lakshmi and Vishnu are likewise found and revered in the temple.

History and Legend :

The Sri Durgiana sanctuary is a vital sanctuary for Hindus. In the yard of the sanctuary is a tree where Lava and Kusha bound Hanuman after the caught challenge pony of the Ashvamedha yajna.
