About the Product

Janmashtami or Gokulashtami is an annual Hindu festival that memorializes the birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna; the eighth avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu. As per Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu is associated with the sustenance of this universe along with Lord Brahma- the creator and Lord Mahesh- the destroyer. Therefore, Janmashtami is the festival of taking of little Krishna who looks after us.

It is a momentous festival filled with a night vigil (Jagrata), dance drama enactment (Krishna-Lila), and singing devotional songs. After Bhagwan Krishna’s birth before the break of the dawn, statues of baby Krishna are washed and clothed and then placed in a cradle.

The following day is celebrated through Dahi handi (breaking the earthen pot of yogurt). Dahi handi is an athletic manner to celebrate Janmashtami, rejoicing Kanha’s birth also famously known as Makhan Chor.

Janmashtami is a festival of freshness, young, and exoticism. Let’s celebrate it with equally exotic and lovely gowns for Kanha.

It’s the time of the year to purchase for baby Krishna and your little Kanhaiyas.
