About the Product

Janmashtami or Gokulashtami is an annual Hindu festival that memorializes the birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna; the eighth avatar of Bhagwan Vishnu. It is a momentous festival filled with a night vigil (Jagrata), dance drama enactment (Krishna-Lila), and singing devotional songs. After Bhagwan Krishna’s birth before the break of the dawn, statues of baby Krishna are washed and clothed and then placed in a cradle. The following day is celebrated through Dahi handi (breaking the earthen pot of yogurt). It’s the time of the year to purchase for baby Krishna and your little Kanhaiyas.
