Diwali’s five-day festival is Laxmi Puja the third and most important day. It commemorates the triumph of good over evil and Bhagwaan Ram‘s 14-year return to Ayodhya. Due to coronavirus restrictions, Diwali celebrations will be limited this year 2021.

Laxmi Puja is held on the third day of the five-day Diwali festival. It is the day when the goddess of wealth, Laxmi, is worshipped to bring prosperity and good fortune. Diwali, also known as Laxmi Puja, will be celebrated on November 4, 2021, with coronavirus measures in place, along with a ban on firecrackers as well as quiet celebrations but as compared to 2020 everyone can celebrate it with great enthusiasm.

Diwali’s primary festival, Laxmi Puja, is enjoyed. It’s often celebrated two days after Dhanteras, which marks the start of the annual festival of lights. Dhanteras occurs on November 2 in 2021, and November 3 is Chhoti Diwali, or Narak Chaturdashi, which is generally a day later.

Laxmi Puja will be held in 2021 on the day of Amavasya, or the lunar stage of the new moon once it is veiled from view, as it is every year. Throughout most areas of India, the ceremonies and celebrations related to Laxmi Puja differ, but they always honor the goddess of riches.

Diwali, also known as Laxmi Puja, is not only a celebration commemorating Lord Ram’s return to Ayodhya and the triumph of virtue over evil, but it is also the New Year’s Day in various parts of India, including Gujarat.

Diwali Laxmi Puja 2021, which will be commemorated by the lighting of diyas and the bursting of crackers by Hindus all around the world, will be noticeably different due to the coronavirus epidemic.

DIWALI PUJA VIDHI:

Diwali Puja is performed according to the mahurat, taking into consideration the Pradesh time and Amavasya tithi. The following are the steps in a complete Diwali Puja:

  • You must first conduct Atma shodhan or self-purification.
  • Then you make a Sankalpa, which is a serious pledge to execute the Diwali Puja ceremonies, with the water in your fist.
  • For serenity and success in your life, you can now say the Shanti path mantra.
  • The Mangal route is then performed for the family’s wishes to be granted. For the Kalash sthapana, place a coconut tied with a crimson fabric and sacred thread in a copper or earthen pot. This is followed by Ganpati puja, which is performed to beseech Lord Ganesha’s blessings. After that, the Nav Graha puja is performed to appease all nine planets.
  • Following that, the Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped according to the Lakshmi Puja mahurat. The lamp is kept lighted throughout the night after Lakshmi Pujan is completed.
  • The Lakshmi Sukta, as well as other Goddess Lakshmi studies, are read. Some individuals stay up all night to greet Lakshmi Mata as she enters their home.

On Diwali, folks get up early in the morning and take a holy bath. Taking a bath in the River Ganges is considered sacred. People in distant areas, on the other hand, combine a small amount of Ganga water with the water they use for bathing.

After that, at Pradosh Kaal in the evening, worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha together. Ganesha is the lord of intelligence and wisdom, and he is respected as the remover of obstacles, while Lakshmi is the goddess of money, fortune, luxury, and prosperity. Goddess Lakshmi is said to visit each house on Diwali night to gift her worshippers with tremendous wealth and pleasures.
