PRAYAGRAJ Development Authority Proposes Hi-Tech Cultural Hub at Triveni Pushp for Mahakumbh-2025 Visitors
Experience the convergence of tradition and technology at Triveni Pushp, where the essence of Sanatan Dharma comes alive in captivating digital displays and immersive cultural experiences. Get ready to embark on a spiritual quest like no other at Mahakumbh-2025!
In a bid to enhance the spiritual experience for visitors arriving in the city for the grand religious fair of Mahakumbh-2025, the Prayagraj Development Authority has unveiled an ambitious plan to create a hi-tech cultural and recreational activities hub at Triveni Pushp, a picturesque tourist attraction situated on the banks of Yamuna at Arail in Naini.
The proposed project aims to showcase the evolution of Kumbh, the significance of the Holy Ganga, and concepts like the 'Samudra Manthan' or churning of the seas, a pivotal event in Hindu mythology that gave birth to the 'Amrit' or the elixir of eternal life. Through state-of-the-art digital displays, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the stories and teachings of Sanatan Dharma, offering a deeper understanding of the cultural and religious heritage of India.
A senior official from the Prayagraj Development Authority stated that if all goes according to plan, the site will also feature a captivating light and sound show, audiovisual displays, and presentations on spiritual and religious places like Kashi, Ayodhya, and Mathura, among others. Moreover, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the revered saints of India, enriching their cultural experience.
To transform Triveni Pushp into a vibrant cultural hub, the Prayagraj Development Authority has issued a request for proposal (RFP) under a Private Public Partnership (PPP) model. The RFP invites agencies to submit proposals, with the selected agency being granted a lease for 30 years, extendable up to 10 years based on their performance.
The agency will be responsible for developing and managing the site, aiming to have it operational by November 15, 2024, well ahead of the Mahakumbh-2025. The development will include structures for various events and activities, such as yoga camps, wellness centers, amusement zones, food courts, recreational areas, and agri-tourism-based activities. Additionally, the hub will host government, cultural, social, spiritual, and corporate events, seminars, workshops, religious gatherings, and more.
Triveni Pushp, already a popular tourist attraction, spans an area of four hectares. It boasts a magnificent tower architecture, visible from the southeast direction of the Triveni Sangam confluence, surrounded by 12 small lawns. The site is home to models of several Hindu scripture characters and religious replicas like the Ram Janma Bhoomi Temple, Badrinath Temple, and Kedarnath Temple.
Former U.P. Vidhan Sabha Speaker and former governor of West Bengal, the late Keshari Nath Tripathi, had envisioned Triveni Pushp as a dream project, which took shape in 2003. It has since become a major viewpoint and tourist attraction, attracting national and international delegations, travelers, and pilgrims during Kumbh-2019.
With the new hi-tech cultural hub, Prayagraj aims to create a mesmerizing experience for the visitors of Mahakumbh-2025, bridging the ancient wisdom of Sanatan Dharma with modern technology to offer a transformative spiritual journey like never before.
