The Avalokiteshvara Stotram is a hymn dedicated to Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion, expressing devotion and seeking blessings for compassion and relief from suffering.

oṃ namo.avalokiteśvarāya
Om, I bow to Avalokiteshvara.
जटाधरं सौमयविशाललोछनं सदापरसननाननछनदरमणडलम
jaṭādharaṃ saumyaviśālalochanaṃ sadāprasannānanachandramaṇḍalam
With matted hair, gentle and wide-eyed, always adorned with a radiant countenance.
सुरासुरैरवनदितपादपङकजं नमामि नाथं मणिपदमसमभवम
surāsurairvanditapādapaṅkajaṃ namāmi nāthaṃ maṇipadmasambhavam
I bow to the Lord, the jewel of compassion, whose lotus feet are praised by gods and demons alike.
सरोजपत्रायतदिवयलोछनं कुदृ^िŚटिसंशोधितशुदधलोछनम
sarojapatrāyatadivyalochanaṃ kudṛ^iŚṭisaṃśodhitaśuddhalochanam
With eyes like lotus petals, divine and pure, shining brightly, free from all impurities.
कृ^िपामृ^ितारदरं जगदेकलोछनं नमामि नाथं मणिपदमसमभवम
kṛ^ipāmṛ^itārdraṃ jagadekalochanaṃ namāmi nāthaṃ maṇipadmasambhavam
I bow to the Lord, the jewel of compassion, who bestows the nectar of mercy upon the world.
हारेनदुहारारधहिमाधिकोजजवलं निघृ^िŚटगणडामललोलकुणडलम
hārenduhārārdhahimādhikojjavalaṃ nighṛ^iŚṭagaṇḍāmalalolakuṇḍalam
With a garland of radiant jewels, adorned with the brilliance of countless stars, I bow to the Lord.
गभसतिमालाकुलकोटिसङकुलं नमामि नाथं मणिपदमसमभवम
gabhastimālākulakoṭisaṅkulaṃ namāmi nāthaṃ maṇipadmasambhavam
I bow to the Lord, the jewel of compassion, surrounded by a multitude of divine beings.
परबुदधधरमाधवनि धरमधातुकं सहसरबाहुं दविछतुशछ Śडभुजम
prabuddhadharmādhvani dharmadhātukaṃ sahasrabāhuṃ dvichatuścha Śaḍbhujam
The bearer of supreme wisdom, the Lord of the universe, with countless arms, four-faced and six-armed.
खधातुना तुलयमननतबाहुकं नमामि नाथं मणिपदमसमभवम
khadhātunā tulyamanantabāhukaṃ namāmi nāthaṃ maṇipadmasambhavam
I bow to the Lord, the jewel of compassion, whose arms are raised in blessing.
ुपायपरज्ञोदधिमनथनोदभवं त्रिधातुसंरकŚणहेतुसमभवम
upāyaprajñodadhimanthanodbhavaṃ tridhātusaṃrakŚaṇahetusambhavam
The ocean of skillful means, the source of all creation, I bow to the Lord, the jewel of compassion.
जिनेनदरमौलिं जिनधातुसमभवं नमामि नाथं मणिपदमसमभवम
jinendramauliṃ jinadhātusambhavaṃ namāmi nāthaṃ maṇipadmasambhavam
I bow to the Lord, the jewel of compassion, who is the essence of all victorious beings.
पदमोपरि गतं नाथं पदमहसतं जटाधरम
padmopari gataṃ nāthaṃ padmahastaṃ jaṭādharam
Above the lotus feet, I see the Lord, the one with matted hair.
ारयावलोकितं वनदे सरवसततवानुकमपकम
āryāvalokitaṃ vande sarvasattvānukampakam
Avalokiteshvara, the compassionate one, who resides in the forest, bestowing blessings upon all.
िति शरीवासुकिनागराजकृ^ितमारयावलोकितेशवरसतोत्रं समपूरणम
iti śrīvāsukināgarājakṛ^itamāryāvalokiteśvarastotraṃ sampūrṇam
