(śeŚanāga) chitraketuruvācha
Chitraketu spoke thus, O Lord.
जित जितः सममतिभिः साधुभि- रभवान जितातमभिरभवता
ajita jitaḥ samamatibhiḥ sādhubhi- rbhavān jitātmabhirbhavatā
Victory, victory to You, O Lord, who are adored by the righteous, and who have conquered even the most formidable.
विजितासते.पि छ भजतामकामातमनां य ातमदो.तिकरुणः
vijitāste.api cha bhajatāmakāmātmanāṃ ya ātmado.atikaruṇaḥ
Though the world may be conquered, let those who seek desires worship You, O compassionate one.
तव विभवः खलु भगवन जगदुदयसथितिलयादीनि
tava vibhavaḥ khalu bhagavan jagadudayasthitilayādīni
Your glory, indeed, O Bhagavan, sustains the universe, creating, preserving, and dissolving all.
विशवसृ^िजसतें.शांशासतत्र मृ^िŚा सपरधनते पृ^िथगभिमतया
viśvasṛ^ijasteṃ.aśāṃśāstatra mṛ^iŚā spardhante pṛ^ithagabhimatyā
You manifest the cosmos, O Lord, with distinct forms, each revered in their own right.
परमाणुपरममहतोसतव- मादयनतानतरवरती त्रयविधुरः
paramāṇuparamamahatostva- mādyantāntaravartī trayavidhuraḥ
You are the essence of the smallest atom and the greatest of the great, transcending all.
ादावनते.पि छ सततवानां यदधरुवं तदेवानतराले.पि
ādāvante.api cha sattvānāṃ yaddhruvaṃ tadevāntarāle.api
Even when bowed down, You remain steadfast, O Lord, in the depths of the universe.
कŚितयादिभिरेŚ किलावृ^ितः सपतभिरदशगुणोततरैरणडकोशः
kŚityādibhireŚa kilāvṛ^itaḥ saptabhirdaśaguṇottarairaṇḍakośaḥ
Surrounded by the elements, You are the essence of all, the tenfold manifestation of creation.
यत्र पततयणुकलपः सहाणडकोटिकोटिभिसतदननतः
yatra patatyaṇukalpaḥ sahāṇḍakoṭikoṭibhistadanantaḥ
Where countless beings fall like leaves, You are the eternal root of existence.
विŚयतृ^िŚो नरपशवो य ुपासते विभूतीरन परं तवाम
viŚayatṛ^iŚo narapaśavo ya upāsate vibhūtīrna paraṃ tvām
In the midst of all beings, O Lord, they seek Your divine glories, the supreme essence.
तेŚामाशिŚ ीश तदनु विनशयनति यथा राजकुलम
teŚāmāśiŚa īśa tadanu vinaśyanti yathā rājakulam
You, O Lord, are the destroyer of illusions, as a king dispels the shadows of ignorance.
कामधियसतवयि रछिता न परम रोहनति यथा करमभबीजानि
kāmadhiyastvayi rachitā na parama rohanti yathā karambhabījāni
The desires of the righteous are fulfilled, as the seeds of their actions bear fruit.
ज्ञानातमनयगुणमये गुणगणतो.सय दवनदवजालानि
jñānātmanyaguṇamaye guṇagaṇato.asya dvandvajālāni
From knowledge arises virtue, and through virtue, the web of worldly attachments is severed.
जितमजित तदा भवता यदाह भागवतं धरममनवदयम
jitamajita tadā bhavatā yadāha bhāgavataṃ dharmamanavadyam
You are victorious and invincible, as proclaimed by the Bhagavata, the essence of Dharma.
निŚकिञछना ये मुनय ातमारामा यमुपासते.पवरगाय
niŚkiñchanā ye munaya ātmārāmā yamupāsate.apavargāya
Those sages who are free from desires worship You, O supreme Lord.
विŚममतिरन यत्र नृ^िणां तवमहमिति मम तवेति छ यदनयत्र
viŚamamatirna yatra nṛ^iṇāṃ tvamahamiti mama taveti cha yadanyatra
In the midst of diverse opinions, I declare, 'You are mine, and I am Yours.'
विŚमधिया रछितो यः स हयविशुदधः कŚयिŚणुरधरमबहुलः
viŚamadhiyā rachito yaḥ sa hyaviśuddhaḥ kŚayiŚṇuradharmabahulaḥ
He who is protected by pure wisdom is free from all bondage.
कः कŚेमो निजपरयोः कियानरथः सवपरदरुहा धरमेण
kaḥ kŚemo nijaparayoḥ kiyānarthaḥ svaparadruhā dharmeṇa
What is the safety of the one who clings to the transient, O Lord, in the realm of Dharma?
सवदरोहाततव कोपः परसमपीडया छ तथाधरमः
svadrohāttava kopaḥ parasampīḍayā cha tathādharmaḥ
From the depths of Your anger, O Lord, arises the path of righteousness.
न वयभिछरति तवेकŚा यया हयभिहितो भागवतो धरमः
na vyabhicharati tavekŚā yayā hyabhihito bhāgavato dharmaḥ
Your gaze, O Lord, does not waver; it is through You that the righteous find their Dharma.
सथिरछरसततवकदमबेŚवपृ^िथगधियो यमुपासते तवारयाः
sthiracharasattvakadambeŚvapṛ^ithagdhiyo yamupāsate tvāryāḥ
Those who worship You, O Lord, with steadfast devotion, are freed from the bondage of worldly existence, their minds ever fixed upon Your divine form.
न हि भगवननघटितमिदं तवददरशनाननृ^िणामखिलपापकŚयः
na hi bhagavannaghaṭitamidaṃ tvaddarśanānnṛ^iṇāmakhilapāpakŚayaḥ
Indeed, O Bhagavan, this world is purified by the mere sight of Your radiant face, washing away the sins of all who behold You.
यननाम सकृ^िछCहरवणातपुलकसको.पि विमुछयते संसारात
yannāma sakṛ^ichChravaṇātpulkasako.api vimuchyate saṃsārāt
By the mere utterance of Your sacred name, even those ensnared in the cycle of birth and death are liberated, their hearts filled with joy.
थ भगवन वयमधुना तवदवलोकपरिमृ^िŚटाशयमलाः
atha bhagavan vayamadhunā tvadavalokaparimṛ^iŚṭāśayamalāḥ
O Bhagavan, we are now tainted by the impurities of our hearts, yet we seek refuge in Your compassionate gaze.
सुरृ^िŚिणा यदुदितं तावकेन कथमनयथा भवति
suraṛ^iŚiṇā yaduditaṃ tāvakena kathamanyathā bhavati
How can the rising sun of Your grace, O Lord, not dispel the darkness of ignorance that shrouds our hearts?
विदितमननत समसतं तव जगदातमनो जनैरिहाछरितम
viditamananta samastaṃ tava jagadātmano janairihācharitam
Known to the wise, You are the eternal truth, manifesting in this world through the hearts of Your devoted followers.
विज्ञापयं परमगुरोः कियदिव सवितुरिव खदयोतैः
vijñāpyaṃ paramaguroḥ kiyadiva savituriva khadyotaiḥ
I humbly offer my prayers to the Supreme Guru, as the sun rises and illuminates the path for all beings.
नमसतुभयं भगवते सकलजग- तसथितिलयोदयेशाय
namastubhyaṃ bhagavate sakalajaga- tsthitilayodayeśāya
Salutations to You, O Bhagavan, the sustainer of the universe, the source of all creation and dissolution.
दुरवसितातमगतये कुयोगिनां भिदा परमहंसाय
duravasitātmagataye kuyogināṃ bhidā paramahaṃsāya
To those who are lost in the darkness of ignorance, You are the beacon of light, guiding the supreme seekers.
यं वै शवसनतमनु विशवसृ^िजः शवसनति यं छेकितानमनु छिततय ुछछकनति
yaṃ vai śvasantamanu viśvasṛ^ijaḥ śvasanti yaṃ chekitānamanu chittaya uchchakanti
You, who are the essence of all beings, create and dissolve the universe; to You, I bow in reverence.
भूमणडलं सरŚपायति यसय मूरधनि तसमै नमो भगवते.सतु सहसरमूरधने
bhūmaṇḍalaṃ sarŚapāyati yasya mūrdhni tasmai namo bhagavate.astu sahasramūrdhne
To You, who hold the earth and sky in Your divine form, I offer my salutations, O Lord of countless heads.
िति शरीमदभागवतमहापुराणे ŚŚठसकनधे Śोडशाधयायानतरगतं छित्रकतुकृ^ितं ननतसतोत्रं समापतम
iti śrīmadbhāgavatamahāpurāṇe ŚaŚṭhaskandhe Śoḍaśādhyāyāntargataṃ chitrakatukṛ^itaṃ anantastotraṃ samāptam
Thus concludes the Ananta Stotra, composed by Chitraketu, found in the revered Srimad Bhagavatam, in the sixteenth chapter of the sixth book.
