पुरुषसूक्त सहित श्रीसूक्त पूजा
puruṣasūkta sahita śrīsūkta pūjā dhyānam – {dhyāna ślokāḥ} oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dhyāyāmi
Oṃ, I meditate on the auspicious one, ______.
ध्यानम् –
āvāhanam – [pu] oṃ sa̱hasra̍śīrṣā̱ puru̍ṣaḥ
Oṃ, the person with a thousand heads,
{ध्यान श्लोकाः}
sa̱ha̱srā̱kṣaḥ sa̱hasra̍pāt
the one with a thousand eyes, and a thousand feet,
ओं श्री ______ नमः ध्यायामि ।
sa bhūmi̍ṃ vi̱śvato̍ vṛ̱tvā
he who encompasses the earth on all sides,
आवाहनम् –
atya̍tiṣṭhaddaśāṅgu̱lam
he who transcends ten fingers' breadth.
[पु] ओं स॒हस्र॑शीर्षा॒ पुरु॑षः ।
[śrī] oṃ hira̍ṇyavarṇā̱ṃ hari̍ṇīṃ su̱varṇa̍raja̱tasra̍jām
Oṃ, I invoke the golden-hued goddess,
स॒ह॒स्रा॒क्षः स॒हस्र॑पात् । स भूमिं॑ वि॒श्वतो॑ वृ॒त्वा ।
ca̱ndrāṃ hi̱raṇma̍yīṃ la̱kṣmīṃ jāta̍vedo ma̱ āva̍ha
the one adorned with a necklace of gold and silver,
अत्य॑तिष्ठद्दशाङ्गु॒लम् । [श्री] ओं हिर॑ण्यवर्णां॒ हरि॑णीं सु॒वर्ण॑रज॒तस्र॑जाम् ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ āvāhayāmi
the moon-like goddess, the one who is the embodiment of wealth,
च॒न्द्रां हि॒रण्म॑यीं ल॒क्ष्मीं जात॑वेदो म॒ आव॑ह ॥
āsanam – [pu] puru̍ṣa e̱vedagṃ sarvam̎
may she come to me, O Jātaveda.
ओं श्री ______ नमः आवाहयामि ।
yadbhū̱taṃ yacca̱ bhavyam̎
Oṃ, I invoke ______.
आसनम् –
u̱tāmṛ̍ta̱tvasyeśā̍naḥ
Oṃ, the person is indeed all that exists,
[पु] पुरु॑ष ए॒वेदग्ं सर्वम्᳚ ।
ya̱danne̍nāti̱roha̍ti
whatever is past and whatever is future,
यद्भू॒तं यच्च॒ भव्यम्᳚ । उ॒तामृ॑त॒त्वस्येशा॑नः ।
[śrī] tāṃ ma̱ āva̍ha̱ jāta̍vedo la̱kṣmīmana̍pagā̱minī̎m
the lord of immortality,
य॒दन्ने॑नाति॒रोह॑ति । [श्री] तां म॒ आव॑ह॒ जात॑वेदो ल॒क्ष्मीमन॑पगा॒मिनी᳚म् ।
yasyā̱ṃ hira̍ṇyaṃ vi̱ndeya̱ṃ gāmaśva̱ṃ puru̍ṣāna̱ham
who transcends all that is eaten.
यस्यां॒ हिर॑ण्यं वि॒न्देयं॒ गामश्वं॒ पुरु॑षान॒हम् ॥
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ navaratnakhacita suvarṇa siṃhāsanaṃ samarpayāmi
Oṃ, may I invoke the goddess Lakshmi,
ओं श्री ______ नमः नवरत्नखचित सुवर्ण सिंहासनं समर्पयामि ।
pādyam – [pu] e̱tāvā̍nasya mahi̱mā
who is the one that brings prosperity,
पाद्यम् –
ato̱ jyāyāg̍śca̱ pūru̍ṣaḥ
in whom I may find gold, cattle, and horses.
[पु] ए॒तावा॑नस्य महि॒मा ।
pādo̎'sya̱ viśvā̍ bhū̱tāni̍
Oṃ, I offer a golden throne adorned with nine gems.
अतो॒ ज्यायाग्॑श्च॒ पूरु॑षः । पादो᳚ऽस्य॒ विश्वा॑ भू॒तानि॑ ।
tri̱pāda̍syā̱mṛta̍ṃ di̱vi
The glory of that one is indeed vast.
त्रि॒पाद॑स्या॒मृतं॑ दि॒वि । [श्री] अ॒श्व॒पू॒र्वां र॑थम॒ध्यां ह॒स्तिना॑दप्र॒बोधि॑नीम् ।
[śrī] a̱śva̱pū̱rvāṃ ra̍thama̱dhyāṃ ha̱stinā̍dapra̱bodhi̍nīm
Therefore, the person is greater than that.
श्रियं॑ दे॒वीमुप॑ह्वये॒ श्रीर्मा॑दे॒वीर्जु॑षताम् ॥
śriya̍ṃ de̱vīmupa̍hvaye̱ śrīrmā̍de̱vīrju̍ṣatām
All beings are but his feet.
ओं श्री ______ नमः पादयोः पाद्यं समर्पयामि ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ pādayoḥ pādyaṃ samarpayāmi
In the three-footed one is immortality in the heavens.
अर्घ्यम् –
arghyam – [pu] tri̱pādū̱rdhva udai̱tpuru̍ṣaḥ
I offer to the goddess of prosperity, who is like a charioteer,
[पु] त्रि॒पादू॒र्ध्व उदै॒त्पुरु॑षः ।
pādo̎'sye̱hā”bha̍vā̱tpuna̍:
Awakening the elephant-like wisdom,
पादो᳚ऽस्ये॒हाऽऽभ॑वा॒त्पुन॑: । ततो॒ विष्व॒ङ्व्य॑क्रामत् ।
tato̱ viṣva̱ṅvya̍krāmat
Oṃ, I bow to the feet, I offer this foot-washing.
सा॒श॒ना॒न॒श॒ने अ॒भि । [श्री] कां॒ सो᳚स्मि॒तां हिर॑ण्यप्रा॒कारा॑मा॒र्द्रां ज्वल॑न्तीं तृ॒प्तां त॒र्पय॑न्तीम् ।
sā̱śa̱nā̱na̱śa̱ne a̱bhi
The three-footed one rises above the Purusha.
प॒द्मे॒ स्थि॒तां प॒द्मव॑र्णां॒ तामि॒होप॑ह्वये॒ श्रियम् ॥
[śrī] kā̱ṃ so̎smi̱tāṃ hira̍ṇyaprā̱kārā̍mā̱rdrāṃ jvala̍ntīṃ tṛ̱ptāṃ ta̱rpaya̍ntīm
His feet are here, yet they are also elsewhere.
ओं श्री ______ नमः हस्तयोः अर्घ्यं समर्पयामि ।
pa̱dme̱ sthi̱tāṃ pa̱dmava̍rṇā̱ṃ tāmi̱hopa̍hvaye̱ śriyam
Then he strides across the universe,
आचमनीयम् –
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ hastayoḥ arghyaṃ samarpayāmi
Consuming all that is, with a great appetite.
[पु] तस्मा᳚द्वि॒राड॑जायत ।
ācamanīyam – [pu] tasmā̎dvi̱rāḍa̍jāyata
I offer to the goddess of prosperity, who is radiant,
वि॒राजो॒ अधि॒ पूरु॑षः । स जा॒तो अत्य॑रिच्यत ।
vi̱rājo̱ adhi̱ pūru̍ṣaḥ
With golden walls, moist and glowing, fulfilling all desires,
प॒श्चाद्भूमि॒मथो॑ पु॒रः । [श्री] च॒न्द्रां प्र॑भा॒सां य॒शसा॒ ज्वल॑न्तीं॒ श्रियं॑ लो॒के दे॒वजु॑ष्टामुदा॒राम् ।
sa jā̱to atya̍ricyata
Standing in the lotus, of the color of the lotus,
तां प॒द्मिनी॑मीं॒ शर॑णम॒हं प्रप॑द्येऽल॒क्ष्मीर्मे॑ नश्यतां॒ त्वां वृ॑णे ॥
pa̱ścādbhūmi̱matho̍ pu̱raḥ
Oṃ, I bow to the hands, I offer this arghya.
ओं श्री ______ नमः मुखे आचमनीयं समर्पयामि ।
[śrī] ca̱ndrāṃ pra̍bhā̱sāṃ ya̱śasā̱ jvala̍ntī̱ṃ śriya̍ṃ lo̱ke de̱vaju̍ṣṭāmudā̱rām
Therefore, from that, the great one was born.
पञ्चामृत स्नानम् –
tāṃ pa̱dminī̍mī̱ṃ śara̍ṇama̱haṃ prapa̍dye'la̱kṣmīrme̍ naśyatā̱ṃ tvāṃ vṛ̍ṇe
The hero shines above the man.
आप्या॑यस्व॒ समे॑तु ते वि॒श्वत॑स्सोम॒ वृष्णि॑यम् ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ mukhe ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi
He who is born is exceedingly radiant.
भवा॒ वाज॑स्य सङ्ग॒थे ॥
pañcāmṛta snānam – āpyā̍yasva̱ same̍tu te vi̱śvata̍ssoma̱ vṛṣṇi̍yam
From the west, the earth is established.
ओं श्री ______ नमः क्षीरेण स्नपयामि ।
bhavā̱ vāja̍sya saṅga̱the
O glorious one, shining with the fame of the moon,
द॒धि॒क्राव्णो॑अकारिषं जि॒ष्णोरश्व॑स्य वा॒जिन॑: । सु॒र॒भि नो॒ मुखा॑ कर॒त्प्राण॒ आयूग्॑म्षि तारिषत् ॥
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ kṣīreṇa snapayāmi
I take refuge in you, O lotus-like goddess, may you not forsake me.
ओं श्री ______ नमः दध्ना स्नपयामि । शु॒क्रम॑सि॒ ज्योति॑रसि॒ तेजो॑सि दे॒वोव॑स्सवि॒तोत्पु॑ना॒तु
da̱dhi̱krāvṇo̍akāriṣaṃ ji̱ṣṇoraśva̍sya vā̱jina̍:
Om, I offer my respects to ______, I present this water for purification.
अच्छि॑द्रेण प॒वित्रे॑ण॒ वसो॒स्सूर्य॑स्य र॒श्मिभि॑: । ओं श्री ______ नमः आज्येन स्नपयामि ।
su̱ra̱bhi no̱ mukhā̍ kara̱tprāṇa̱ āyūg̍mṣi tāriṣat
The bath of five nectars –
मधु॒वाता॑ ऋताय॒ते मधु॑क्षरन्ति॒ सिन्ध॑वः । माध्वी᳚र्नः स॒न्त्वौष॑धीः ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dadhnā snapayāmi
May you be satisfied, O universal one, with the moon and the Vrishni.
मधु॒नक्त॑मु॒तोष॑सि॒ मधु॑म॒त् पार्थि॑व॒ग्ं॒रज॑: । मधु॒द्यौर॑स्तु नः पि॒ता ।
śu̱krama̍si̱ jyoti̍rasi̱ tejo̍si de̱vova̍ssavi̱totpu̍nā̱tu acchi̍dreṇa pa̱vitre̍ṇa̱ vaso̱ssūrya̍sya ra̱śmibhi̍:
May you be endowed with strength and prosperity.
मधु॑मान्नो॒ वन॒स्पति॒र्मधु॑माग्ं अस्तु॒ सूर्य॑: । माध्वी॒र्गावो॑ भवन्तु नः ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ ājyena snapayāmi
Om, I offer my respects to ______, I bathe you with milk.
ओं श्री ______ नमः मधुना स्नपयामि । स्वा॒दुः प॑वस्व दि॒व्याय॒ जन्म॑ने ।
madhu̱vātā̍ ṛtāya̱te madhu̍kṣaranti̱ sindha̍vaḥ
The one who is the essence of curds, the one who is the essence of the horse's strength:
स्वा॒दुरिन्द्रा᳚य सु॒हवी᳚तु नाम्ने । स्वा॒दुर्मि॒त्राय॒ वरु॑णाय वा॒यवे॒ ।
mādhvī̎rnaḥ sa̱ntvauṣa̍dhīḥ
May the fragrant ones bring us life and longevity.
बृह॒स्पत॑ये॒ मधु॑मां॒ अदा᳚भ्यः । ओं श्री ______ नमः शर्करेण स्नपयामि ।
madhu̱nakta̍mu̱toṣa̍si̱ madhu̍ma̱t pārthi̍va̱g̱ṃraja̍:
Om, I offer my respects to ______, I bathe you with curds.
याः फ॒लिनी॒र्या अ॑फ॒ला अ॑पु॒ष्पायाश्च॑ पु॒ष्पिणी॑: । बृह॒स्पति॑ प्रसूता॒स्तानो॑ मुन्च॒न्त्वग्ं ह॑सः ॥
madhu̱dyaura̍stu naḥ pi̱tā
You are the essence of brightness, you are the light, may the divine ones bless us.
ओं श्री ______ नमः फलोदकेन स्नपयामि । स्नानम् –
madhu̍mānno̱ vana̱spati̱rmadhu̍māgṃ astu̱ sūrya̍:
With the unbroken and pure rays of the sun,
[पु] यत्पुरु॑षेण ह॒विषा᳚ । दे॒वा य॒ज्ञमत॑न्वत ।
mādhvī̱rgāvo̍ bhavantu naḥ
Om, I offer my respects to ______, I bathe you with ghee.
व॒स॒न्तो अ॑स्यासी॒दाज्यम्᳚ । ग्री॒ष्म इ॒ध्मश्श॒रद्ध॒विः ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ madhunā snapayāmi
The sweet winds blow for the righteous, the rivers flow with sweetness.
[श्री] आ॒दि॒त्यव॑र्णे॒ तप॒सोऽधि॑जा॒तो वन॒स्पति॒स्तव॑ वृ॒क्षोऽथ बि॒ल्वः । तस्य॒ फला॑नि॒ तप॒सा नु॑दन्तु मा॒यान्त॑रा॒याश्च॑ बा॒ह्या अ॑ल॒क्ष्मीः ॥
svā̱duḥ pa̍vasva di̱vyāya̱ janma̍ne
May the sweet herbs be our solace.
आपो॒ हिष्ठा म॑यो॒भुव॒स्ता न॑ ऊ॒र्जे द॑धातन । म॒हेरणा॑य॒ चक्ष॑से ।
svā̱durindrā̎ya su̱havī̎tu nāmne
May the sweet nectar be pleasing to us, may the sweet earth be our support.
यो व॑: शि॒वत॑मो रस॒स्तस्य॑ भाजयते॒ ह न॑: । उ॒श॒तीरि॑व मा॒त॑रः ।
svā̱durmi̱trāya̱ varu̍ṇāya vā̱yave̱
May the sweet sky be our father.
तस्मा॒ अर॑ङ्गमामवो॒ यस्य॒ क्षया॑य॒ जिन्व॑थ । आपो॑ ज॒नय॑था च नः ।
bṛha̱spata̍ye̱ madhu̍mā̱ṃ adā̎bhyaḥ
May the sweet plant be the sun for us.
ओं श्री ______ नमः शुद्धोदक स्नानं समर्पयामि । स्नानानन्तरं शुद्ध आचमनीयं समर्पयामि ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ śarkareṇa snapayāmi
May the sweet cows be ours.
वस्त्रम् –
yāḥ pha̱linī̱ryā a̍pha̱lā a̍pu̱ṣpāyāśca̍ pu̱ṣpiṇī̍:
Om, glory to ______, I bathe with honey.
[पु] स॒प्तास्या॑सन्परि॒धय॑: ।
bṛha̱spati̍ prasūtā̱stāno̍ munca̱ntvagṃ ha̍saḥ
May the sweet essence flow for the divine birth.
त्रिः स॒प्त स॒मिध॑: कृ॒ताः । दे॒वा यद्य॒ज्ञं त॑न्वा॒नाः ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ phalodakena snapayāmi
May it be sweet for Indra, with the name of Suhavī.
अब॑ध्न॒न्पुरु॑षं प॒शुम् । [श्री] उपै॑तु॒ मां दे॑वस॒खः की॒र्तिश्च॒ मणि॑ना स॒ह ।
snānam – [pu] yatpuru̍ṣeṇa ha̱viṣā̎
May it be sweet for the friend, for Varuna, for Vayu.
प्रा॒दु॒र्भू॒तोऽस्मि॑ राष्ट्रे॒ऽस्मिन् की॒र्तिमृ॑द्धिं द॒दातु॑ मे ॥
de̱vā ya̱jñamata̍nvata
To Brihaspati, may the sweet essence be offered to us.
ओं श्री ______ नमः वस्त्रयुग्मं समर्पयामि ।
va̱sa̱nto a̍syāsī̱dājyam̎
Om, glory to ______, I bathe with sugar.
यज्ञोपवीतम् –
grī̱ṣma i̱dhmaśśa̱raddha̱viḥ
Those that are fruitful, those that are unfruitful, those that are without flowers, may they be fruitful.
[पु] तं य॒ज्ञं ब॒र्हिषि॒ प्रौक्षन्॑ ।
[śrī] ā̱di̱tyava̍rṇe̱ tapa̱so'dhi̍jā̱to vana̱spati̱stava̍ vṛ̱kṣo'tha bi̱lvaḥ
May Brihaspati, who is born of them, remove all obstacles.
पुरु॑षं जा॒तम॑ग्र॒तः । तेन॑ दे॒वा अय॑जन्त ।
tasya̱ phalā̍ni̱ tapa̱sā nu̍dantu mā̱yānta̍rā̱yāśca̍ bā̱hyā a̍la̱kṣmīḥ
Om, glory to ______, I bathe with the water of fruits.
सा॒ध्या ऋष॑यश्च॒ ये । [श्री] क्षुत्पि॑पा॒साम॑लां ज्ये॒ष्ठाम॑ल॒क्ष्मीं ना॑शया॒म्यहम् ।
āpo̱ hiṣṭhā ma̍yo̱bhuva̱stā na̍ ū̱rje da̍dhātana
Bathing –
अभू॑ति॒मस॑मृद्धिं॒ च सर्वां॒ निर्णु॑द मे॒ गृहा॑त् ॥
ma̱heraṇā̍ya̱ cakṣa̍se
[With] the offering made to the person.
ओं श्री ______ नमः यज्ञोपवीतं समर्पयामि ।
yo va̍: śi̱vata̍mo rasa̱stasya̍ bhājayate̱ ha na̍:
The gods are indeed the essence of sacrifice.
गन्धम् –
u̱śa̱tīri̍va mā̱ta̍raḥ
In the spring, the offerings are made.
[पु] तस्मा᳚द्य॒ज्ञात्स॑र्व॒हुत॑: ।
tasmā̱ ara̍ṅgamāmavo̱ yasya̱ kṣayā̍ya̱ jinva̍tha
In summer, the fire is kindled with faith.
सम्भृ॑तं पृषदा॒ज्यम् । प॒शूग्स्ताग्श्च॑क्रे वाय॒व्यान्॑ ।
āpo̍ ja̱naya̍thā ca naḥ
O Aditya, born from austerity, you are the tree of life; the bilva tree is thus.
आ॒र॒ण्यान्ग्रा॒म्याश्च॒ ये । [श्री] ग॒न्ध॒द्वा॒रां दु॑राध॒र्षां॒ नि॒त्यपु॑ष्टां करी॒षिणी᳚म् ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ śuddhodaka snānaṃ samarpayāmi
May its fruits be offered through austerity, and may the obstacles of illusion and external misfortune be removed.
ई॒श्वरी॑ग्ं सर्व॑भूता॒नां॒ तामि॒होप॑ह्वये॒ श्रियम् ॥
snānānantaraṃ śuddha ācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi
The waters indeed are the source of nourishment; may they not withhold energy from us.
ओं श्री ______ नमः दिव्य श्री चन्दनं समर्पयामि ।
vastram – [pu] sa̱ptāsyā̍sanpari̱dhaya̍:
To the great one, I offer my vision.
आभरणम् –
triḥ sa̱pta sa̱midha̍: kṛ̱tāḥ
He who shares the essence of bliss with others is indeed the most auspicious.
[पु] तस्मा᳚द्य॒ज्ञात्स॑र्व॒हुत॑: ।
de̱vā yadya̱jñaṃ ta̍nvā̱nāḥ
Like the dawn, may the mothers bring forth prosperity.
ऋच॒: सामा॑नि जज्ञिरे । छन्दाग्ं॑सि जज्ञिरे॒ तस्मा᳚त् ।
aba̍dhna̱npuru̍ṣaṃ pa̱śum
Therefore, may the one who conquers decay be revered.
यजु॒स्तस्मा॑दजायत । [श्री] मन॑स॒: काम॒माकू॑तिं वा॒चः स॒त्यम॑शीमहि ।
[śrī] upai̍tu̱ māṃ de̍vasa̱khaḥ kī̱rtiśca̱ maṇi̍nā sa̱ha
O waters, may you give us life.
प॒शू॒नां रू॒पमन्न॑स्य॒ मयि॒ श्रीः श्र॑यतां॒ यश॑: ॥
prā̱du̱rbhū̱to'smi̍ rāṣṭre̱'smin kī̱rtimṛ̍ddhiṃ da̱dātu̍ me
Om, I offer my salutations to the pure water; I dedicate this bath.
ओं श्री ______ नमः सर्वाभरणानि समर्पयामि ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ vastrayugmaṃ samarpayāmi
After the bath, I offer pure water for sipping.
पुष्पाणि –
yajñopavītam – [pu] taṃ ya̱jñaṃ ba̱rhiṣi̱ praukṣan̍
Clothing –
[पु] तस्मा॒दश्वा॑ अजायन्त ।
puru̍ṣaṃ jā̱tama̍gra̱taḥ
The seven-fold offerings are made with care;
ये के चो॑भ॒याद॑तः । गावो॑ ह जज्ञिरे॒ तस्मा᳚त् ।
tena̍ de̱vā aya̍janta
Three times seven twigs have been prepared.
तस्मा᳚ज्जा॒ता अ॑जा॒वय॑: । [श्री] क॒र्दमे॑न प्र॑जाभू॒ता॒ म॒यि॒ सम्भ॑व क॒र्दम ।
sā̱dhyā ṛṣa̍yaśca̱ ye
The gods, having performed the sacrifice,
श्रियं॑ वा॒सय॑ मे कु॒ले मा॒तरं॑ पद्म॒मालि॑नीम् ॥
[śrī] kṣutpi̍pā̱sāma̍lāṃ jye̱ṣṭhāma̍la̱kṣmīṃ nā̍śayā̱myaham
Bind the man who is like an animal.
ओं श्री ______ नमः नानाविध परिमल पत्र पुष्पाणि समर्पयामि ।
abhū̍ti̱masa̍mṛddhi̱ṃ ca sarvā̱ṃ nirṇu̍da me̱ gṛhā̍t
May the divine companions and glory come to me,
धूपम् –
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ yajñopavītaṃ samarpayāmi
May I be endowed with fame and prosperity in this realm.
[पु] यत्पुरु॑षं॒ व्य॑दधुः ।
gandham – [pu] tasmā̎dya̱jñātsa̍rva̱huta̍:
Om, I offer this pair of garments to the divine.
क॒ति॒धा व्य॑कल्पयन् । मुखं॒ किम॑स्य॒ कौ बा॒हू ।
sambhṛ̍taṃ pṛṣadā̱jyam
The sacred thread –
कावू॒रू पादा॑वुच्येते । [श्री] आप॑: सृ॒जन्तु॑ स्नि॒ग्धा॒नि॒ चि॒क्ली॒त व॑स मे॒ गृहे ।
pa̱śūgstāgśca̍kre vāya̱vyān̍
That pure sacrifice, which is offered in the fire,
नि च॑ दे॒वीं मा॒तरं॒ श्रियं॑ वा॒सय॑ मे कु॒ले ॥
ā̱ra̱ṇyāngrā̱myāśca̱ ye
The man born first,
ओं श्री ______ नमः धूपं समर्पयामि ।
[śrī] ga̱ndha̱dvā̱rāṃ du̍rādha̱rṣā̱ṃ ni̱tyapu̍ṣṭāṃ karī̱ṣiṇī̎m
With that, the gods performed the sacrifice,
दीपम् –
ī̱śvarī̍gṃ sarva̍bhūtā̱nā̱ṃ tāmi̱hopa̍hvaye̱ śriyam
And the Sadhyas and sages who are there.
[पु] ब्रा॒ह्म॒णो᳚ऽस्य॒ मुख॑मासीत् ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ divya śrī candanaṃ samarpayāmi
I will remove the hunger and thirst,
बा॒हू रा॑ज॒न्य॑: कृ॒तः । ऊ॒रू तद॑स्य॒ यद्वैश्य॑: ।
ābharaṇam – [pu] tasmā̎dya̱jñātsa̍rva̱huta̍:
And I will eliminate all poverty and prosperity from my home.
प॒द्भ्याग्ं शू॒द्रो अ॑जायत । [श्री] आ॒र्द्रां पु॒ष्करि॑णीं पु॒ष्टिं॒ पि॒ङ्ग॒लां प॑द्ममा॒लिनीम्।
ṛca̱: sāmā̍ni jajñire
Om, I offer this sacred thread to the divine.
च॒न्द्रां हि॒रण्म॑यीं ल॒क्ष्मीं जात॑वेदो म॒ आव॑ह ॥
chandāg̍ṃsi jajñire̱ tasmā̎t
The fragrance –
ओं श्री ______ नमः दीपं समर्पयामि ।
yaju̱stasmā̍dajāyata
From that sacrifice, all offerings are gathered,
नैवेद्यम् –
[śrī] mana̍sa̱: kāma̱mākū̍tiṃ vā̱caḥ sa̱tyama̍śīmahi
The pure flour is mixed,
[पु] च॒न्द्रमा॒ मन॑सो जा॒तः ।
pa̱śū̱nāṃ rū̱pamanna̍sya̱ mayi̱ śrīḥ śra̍yatā̱ṃ yaśa̍:
And the animals are offered to the winds.
चक्षो॒: सूर्यो॑ अजायत । मुखा॒दिन्द्र॑श्चा॒ग्निश्च॑ ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ sarvābharaṇāni samarpayāmi
Those who dwell in the forest and the village,
प्रा॒णाद्वा॒युर॑जायत । [श्री] आ॒र्द्रां य॒: करि॑णीं य॒ष्टिं॒ सु॒व॒र्णां हे॑ममा॒लिनीम् ।
puṣpāṇi – [pu] tasmā̱daśvā̍ ajāyanta
O Goddess, who is ever nourished and difficult to be approached,
सू॒र्यां हि॒रण्म॑यीं ल॒क्ष्मीं॒ जात॑वेदो म॒ आवह ॥
ye ke co̍bha̱yāda̍taḥ
I offer you, the Lord of all beings, my wealth.
ओं श्री ______ नमः नैवेद्यं समर्पयामि ।
gāvo̍ ha jajñire̱ tasmā̎t
Om, I bow to the divine, I offer the sacred sandalwood.
ओं भूर्भुव॑स्सुव॑: । तत्स॑वितु॒र्वरे᳚ण्य॒म् । भ॒र्गो॑ दे॒वस्य॑ धी॒महि । धियो॒ योन॑: प्रचो॒दया᳚त् ॥
tasmā̎jjā̱tā a̍jā̱vaya̍:
Jewels –
सत्यं त्वा ऋतेन परिषिञ्चामि । (सायंकाले – ऋतं त्वा सत्येन परिषिञ्चामि)
[śrī] ka̱rdame̍na pra̍jābhū̱tā̱ ma̱yi̱ sambha̍va ka̱rdama
From that sacrifice, all the hymns were born,
अमृतमस्तु । अ॒मृ॒तो॒प॒स्तर॑णमसि । ओं प्रा॒णाय॒ स्वाहा᳚ । ओं अ॒पा॒नाय॒ स्वाहा᳚ ।
śriya̍ṃ vā̱saya̍ me ku̱le mā̱tara̍ṃ padma̱māli̍nīm
The Rigveda and the Samaveda were born from it,
ओं व्या॒नाय॒ स्वाहा᳚ । ओं उ॒दा॒नाय॒ स्वाहा᳚ । ओं स॒मा॒नाय॒ स्वाहा᳚ ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ nānāvidha parimala patra puṣpāṇi samarpayāmi
From that, the Yajurveda was born.
मध्ये मध्ये पानीयं समर्पयामि । अ॒मृ॒ता॒पि॒धा॒नम॑सि ।
dhūpam – [pu] yatpuru̍ṣa̱ṃ vya̍dadhuḥ
O Lord, may our minds, desires, and words be truthful.
उत्तरापोशनं समर्पयामि । हस्तौ प्रक्षालयामि । पादौ प्रक्षालयामि । शुद्धाचमनीयं समर्पयामि ।
ka̱ti̱dhā vya̍kalpayan
May the form of the animals and food reside in me, bringing glory.
ताम्बूलम् –
mukha̱ṃ kima̍sya̱ kau bā̱hū
Om, I bow to the divine, I offer all ornaments.
[पु] नाभ्या॑ आसीद॒न्तरि॑क्षम् ।
kāvū̱rū pādā̍vucyete
Flowers –
शी॒र्ष्णो द्यौः सम॑वर्तत । प॒द्भ्यां भूमि॒र्दिश॒: श्रोत्रा᳚त् ।
[śrī] āpa̍: sṛ̱jantu̍ sni̱gdhā̱ni̱ ci̱klī̱ta va̍sa me̱ gṛhe
From that, the horses were born,
तथा॑ लो॒काग्ं अ॑कल्पयन् । [श्री] तां म॒ आव॑ह॒ जात॑वेदो ल॒क्ष्मीमन॑पगा॒मिनी᳚म् ।
ni ca̍ de̱vīṃ mā̱tara̱ṃ śriya̍ṃ vā̱saya̍ me ku̱le
And those who were born from the womb,
यस्यां॒ हि॑रण्यं॒ प्रभू॑तं॒ गावो॑ दा॒स्योऽश्वा᳚न्वि॒न्देयं॒ पुरु॑षान॒हम् ॥
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dhūpaṃ samarpayāmi
The cows were born from it; therefore,
ओं श्री ______ नमः ताम्बूलं समर्पयामि ।
dīpam – [pu] brā̱hma̱ṇo̎'sya̱ mukha̍māsīt
From that, the non-born were created.
नीराजनम् –
bā̱hū rā̍ja̱nya̍: kṛ̱taḥ
By the grace of Lord Kardama, may I be born among the progeny of Kardama.
[पु] वेदा॒हमे॒तं पुरु॑षं म॒हान्तम्᳚ ।
ū̱rū tada̍sya̱ yadvaiśya̍:
In my family, may the goddess Lakshmi reside, adorned with a lotus garland.
आ॒दि॒त्यव॑र्णं॒ तम॑स॒स्तु पा॒रे । सर्वा॑णि रू॒पाणि॑ वि॒चित्य॒ धीर॑: ।
pa̱dbhyāgṃ śū̱dro a̍jāyata
Om, I offer my salutations to the divine, and present various fragrant flowers and leaves.
नामा॑नि कृ॒त्वाऽभि॒वद॒न्॒ यदास्ते᳚ । [श्री] यः शुचि॒: प्रय॑तो भू॒त्वा जु॒हुया᳚दाज्य॒ मन्व॑हम् ।
[śrī] ā̱rdrāṃ pu̱ṣkari̍ṇīṃ pu̱ṣṭi̱ṃ pi̱ṅga̱lāṃ pa̍dmamā̱linīm
Incense –
श्रिय॑: प॒ञ्चद॑शर्चं॒ च श्री॒काम॑: सत॒तं ज॑पेत् ॥
ca̱ndrāṃ hi̱raṇma̍yīṃ la̱kṣmīṃ jāta̍vedo ma̱ āva̍ha
The supreme being was created,
ओं श्री ______ नमः कर्पूर नीराजनं समर्पयामि ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ dīpaṃ samarpayāmi
How many forms did they take?
नीराजनानन्तरं शुद्धाचमनीयं समर्पयामि । नमस्करोमि । मन्त्रपुष्पम् –
naivedyam – [pu] ca̱ndramā̱ mana̍so jā̱taḥ
What is the face of this being? Who are the arms?
धा॒ता पु॒रस्ता॒द्यमु॑दाज॒हार॑ । श॒क्रः प्रवि॒द्वान्प्र॒दिश॒श्चत॑स्रः ।
cakṣo̱: sūryo̍ ajāyata
The feet are referred to as the Kauravas.
तमे॒वं वि॒द्वान॒मृत॑ इ॒ह भ॑वति । नान्यः पन्था॒ अय॑नाय विद्यते ।
mukhā̱dindra̍ścā̱gniśca̍
Om, may the waters be sweet and flow gently in my home.
ओं श्री ______ नमः सुवर्ण दिव्य मन्त्रपुष्पं समर्पयामि । आत्मप्रदक्षिण नमस्कारम् –
prā̱ṇādvā̱yura̍jāyata
And may the goddess reside in my family, adorned with wealth.
यानिकानि च पापानि जन्मान्तरकृतानि च
[śrī] ā̱rdrāṃ ya̱: kari̍ṇīṃ ya̱ṣṭi̱ṃ su̱va̱rṇāṃ he̍mamā̱linīm
Om, I offer my salutations to the divine and present this incense.
तानि तानि प्रणश्यन्ति प्रदक्षिण पदे पदे ।
sū̱ryāṃ hi̱raṇma̍yīṃ la̱kṣmī̱ṃ jāta̍vedo ma̱ āvaha
Lamp –
पापोऽहं पापकर्माऽहं पापात्मा पापसम्भव । त्राहिमां कृपया तुभ्यं शरणागतवत्सले ।
oṃ śrī ______ namaḥ naivedyaṃ samarpayāmi
The mouth of the Brahmana was created,
अन्यथा शरणं नास्ति त्वमेव शरणं मम । तस्मात्कारुण्य भावेन रक्ष रक्ष जनार्दना रक्ष रक्ष सुरेश्वरी ।
oṃ bhūrbhuva̍ssuva̍:
The arms were made from the Kshatriyas,
ओं श्री ______ नमः आत्मप्रदक्षिण नमस्कारान् समर्पयामि । साष्टाङ्ग नमस्कारम् –
tatsa̍vitu̱rvare̎ṇya̱m
The thighs came from the Vaishyas,
उरसा शिरसा दृष्ट्या मनसा वचसा तथा । पद्भ्यां कराभ्यां कर्णाभ्यां प्रणामोष्टाङ्गमुच्यते ॥
bha̱rgo̍ de̱vasya̍ dhī̱mahi
And the Shudras were born from the feet.
ओं श्री ______ नमः साष्टाङ्ग नमस्कारां समर्पयामि । सर्वोपचाराः –
dhiyo̱ yona̍: praco̱dayā̎t
Om, may the moist, lotus-like, nourishing, and golden goddess reside.
ओं श्री ______ नमः छत्रं आच्छादयामि । ओं श्री ______ नमः चामरैर्वीजयामि ।
satyaṃ tvā ṛtena pariṣiñcāmi
I invoke the golden Lakshmi, born of the moon.
ओं श्री ______ नमः नृत्यं दर्शयामि । ओं श्री ______ नमः गीतं श्रावयामि ।
(sāyaṅkāle – ṛtaṃ tvā satyena pariṣiñcāmi) amṛtamastu
Om, I offer this lamp to you, O Shri ______.
ओं श्री ______ नमः आन्दोलिकान्नारोहयामि । ओं श्री ______ नमः अश्वानारोहयामि ।
a̱mṛ̱to̱pa̱stara̍ṇamasi
Offering of food –
ओं श्री ______ नमः गजानारोहयामि । समस्त राजोपचारान् देवोपचारान् समर्पयामि ।
oṃ prā̱ṇāya̱ svāhā̎
From the moon, the mind was born.
क्षमा प्रार्थना –
oṃ a̱pā̱nāya̱ svāhā̎
From the eyes, the sun was born.
अपराध सहस्राणि क्रियन्तेऽहर्निशं मया ।
oṃ vyā̱nāya̱ svāhā̎
From the mouth, Indra and Agni were born.
दासोऽयमिति मां मत्वा क्षमस्व परमेश्वर । आवाहनं न जानामि न जानामि विसर्जनम् ।
oṃ u̱dā̱nāya̱ svāhā̎
From the breath, the vital air was born.
पूजाविधिं न जानामि क्षमस्व परमेश्वर । मन्त्रहीनं क्रियाहीनं भक्तिहीनं महेश्वर ।
oṃ sa̱mā̱nāya̱ svāhā̎
O Shri, I offer this moist and golden stick, adorned with jewels.
यत्पूजितं मया देव परिपूर्णं तदस्तुते । अनया पुरुषसूक्त सहित श्रीसूक्त विधान पूर्वक ध्यान आवाहनादि षोडशोपचार पूजया भगवान् सर्वात्मकः श्री ______ भगवती सर्वात्मिका श्री ______ सुप्रीता सुप्रसन्ना वरदा भवन्तु ।
madhye madhye pānīyaṃ samarpayāmi
I invoke the golden Lakshmi, born of the sun.
तीर्थप्रसाद स्वीकरण –
a̱mṛ̱tā̱pi̱dhā̱nama̍si
Om, I offer this food to you, O Shri ______.
अकालमृत्यहरणं सर्वव्याधिनिवारणम् ।
uttarāpośanaṃ samarpayāmi
Om, Earth, Atmosphere, Heaven:
समस्तपापक्षयकरं श्री ______ पादोदकं पावनं शुभम् ॥
hastau prakṣālayāmi
May we meditate on the divine light of that sun.
श्री ______ नमः प्रसादं शीरसा गृह्णामि ।
pādau prakṣālayāmi
May that divine light inspire our intellects.
ओं शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः । Puja Vidhi - पूजा विधि
śuddhācamanīyaṃ samarpayāmi
I anoint you with truth and righteousness.
