I bow to you, the one who has conquered the sweet voice of the cuckoo, the one who holds the veena, the one who resides in the ocean of worldly existence.
कउवअलअयअदअलअनईलआङगईं कउवअलअयअरअकषऐकअदईकषइतआपआङगईम
kuvalayadalanīlāṅgīṁ kuvalayarakṣaikadīkṣitāpāṅgīm
I bow to you, the one who holds the veena in your tender hands, the one who is the essence of the divine sound, the one who is the embodiment of all that is auspicious.
लचअनअवइजइतअकउरअङगईं मआतअङगईं नमइ शअङकअरआरदहआङगईम
lōcanavijitakuraṅgīṁ mātaṅgīṁ nōm̐i śaṅkarārdhāṅgīm

I bow to you, the one who is the embodiment of compassion, the one who resides in the hearts of the gods, the one who has subdued the demons.
पआलइतअसउतअजअनअकअदअमबआं परतहउलअनइतअमबआं बहअज सअहरअमबआम
pālitasutajanakadambāṁ pr̥thulanitambāṁ bhajē sahērambām
I bow to you, the one with a reddish hue, the universal mother, the one who has conquered the path of existence.
शअरअणआगअतअजअनअबहअरअणआं कअरउणआवअरउणआलअयआबजअचअरअणआं
śaraṇāgatajanabharaṇāṁ karuṇāvaruṇālayābjacaraṇāṁ
I bow to you, the one who protects the children of the earth, the one with a broad waist, I worship you, O beloved of the universe.
मअणइमअयअदइवयआबहअरअणआं चअरअणआमबहजआतअसवअकददहअरअणआम
maṇimayadivyābharaṇāṁ caraṇāmbhōjātasēvakōddharaṇām
I bow to you, the one who is the refuge for those who seek shelter, the one who is the abode of compassion, with lotus-like feet.
तउङगअसतअनअजइतअकउमबहआं करतअपअरइरअमबहआं शइवनअ गउहअडइंबहआं
tuṅgastanajitakumbhāṁ kr̥taparirambhāṁ śivēna guhaḍiṁbhāṁ
I bow to you, adorned with divine jewels, the one who uplifts the servants at your lotus feet.
दआरइतअशउमबहअनइशउमबहआं नअरतइतअरअमबहआं पउर वइगअतअदअमबहआम
dāritaśumbhaniśumbhāṁ nartitarambhāṁ purō vigatadambhām
I bow to you, the one with a full breast, the one who embraces with love, the one who is the essence of Shiva and the one who resides in the cave.
नअतअजअनअरअकषआदईकषआं दअकषआं परअतयअकषअदऐवअतआदहयअकषआम
natajanarakṣādīkṣāṁ dakṣāṁ pratyakṣadaivatādhyakṣām
I bow to you, the one who has vanquished the demons Shumbha and Nishumbha, the one who dances in joy, the one who has dispelled all pride.
वआहईकरतअहअरयअकषआं कषअपइतअवइपअकषआं सउरषउ करतअरअकषआम
vāhīkr̥taharyakṣāṁ kṣapitavipakṣāṁ surēṣu kr̥tarakṣām
I bow to you, the one who initiates the protection of the humble, the one who is skilled, the one who is the direct deity presiding over all.
दहअनयआं सउरअवअरअमआनयआं हइमअगइरइकअनयआनतरइलकअमऊरदहअनयआं
dhanyāṁ suravaramānyāṁ himagirikanyāntrilōkamūrdhanyāṁ
The one who is adorned with the protective powers of the gods, who has been cast down by the opposing forces, is indeed blessed and revered among the divine beings, like a precious jewel on the peaks of the snowy mountains.
वइहरतअसउरअदरउमअवअनयआं वदमइ वइनआ तवआंनअदवअतआमअनयआम
vihr̥tasuradrumavanyāṁ vēdmi vinā tvāṁnadēvatāmanyām
I know the divine presence in the forest of celestial trees, which is devoid of any other deity apart from you.
तआं नअवअमअणइमआलआं पअटहअनतइ बहअकतयहआ य पअरआशअकतयआ
ētāṁ navamaṇimālāṁ paṭhanti bhaktyēhā yē parāśaktyā
Those who read this new garland of jewels with devotion, they, through supreme power, will find joy and bliss in their faces and abodes.
तषआं वअदअन सअदअन नरतयअतइ वआणई रअमआ चअ पअरअमअमउदआ
tēṣāṁ vadanē sadanē nr̥tyati vāṇī ramā ca paramamudā
In the presence of such devotees, the goddess Lakshmi dances with great delight.
