श्री शिव उवाच ।
śatamaṣṭōttaraṁ nāmnāṁ kamalāyā varānanē
The great goddess Kamala, with her hundred and eight names, is being described.
शतमष्टोत्तरं नाम्नां कमलाया वरानने । प्रवक्ष्याम्यतिगुह्यं हि न कदापि प्रकाशयेत् ॥ १ ॥
pravakṣyāmyatiguhyaṁ hi na kadāpi prakāśayēt
Lord Shiva speaks about her names, which are very secret and should never be revealed.
ओं महामाया महालक्ष्मीर्महावाणी महेश्वरी । महादेवी महारात्रिर्महिषासुरमर्दिनी ॥ २ ॥
ōṁ mahāmāyā mahālakṣmīrmahāvāṇī mahēśvarī
O great illusion, great fortune, great speech, and great goddess,
कालरात्रिः कुहूः पूर्णानन्दाद्या भद्रिका निशा । जया रिक्ता महाशक्तिर्देवमाता कृशोदरी ॥ ३ ॥
mahādēvī mahārātrirmahiṣāsuramardinī
You are the great night, the slayer of demons, and the embodiment of time.
शचीन्द्राणी शक्रनुता शङ्करप्रियवल्लभा । महावराहजननी मदनोन्मथिनी मही ॥ ४ ॥
kālarātriḥ kuhūḥ pūrṇānandādyā bhadrikā niśā
You are the blissful night, the victorious, and the great power, the mother of the gods, and the one who is slender.
वैकुण्ठनाथरमणी विष्णुवक्षःस्थलस्थिता । विश्वेश्वरी विश्वमाता वरदाऽभयदा शिवा ॥ ५ ॥
jayā riktā mahāśaktirdēvamātā kr̥śōdarī
You are the wife of Indra, praised by the gods, and beloved of Shiva.
शूलिनी चक्रिणी मा च पाशिनी शङ्खधारिणी । गदिनी मुण्डमाला च कमला करुणालया ॥ ६ ॥
śacīndrāṇī śakranutā śaṅkarapriyavallabhā
You are the mother of the great boar, the one who captivates hearts, and the earth.
पद्माक्षधारिणी ह्यम्बा महाविष्णुप्रियङ्करी । गोलोकनाथरमणी गोलोकेश्वरपूजिता ॥ ७ ॥
mahāvarāhajananī madanōnmathinī mahī
You reside in the abode of Vishnu and are the goddess of the universe, the mother of all, bestowing boons and dispelling fear.
गया गङ्गा च यमुना गोमती गरुडासना । गण्डकी सरयूस्तापी रेवा चैव पयस्विनी ॥ ८ ॥
vaikuṇṭhanātharamaṇī viṣṇuvakṣaḥsthalasthitā
You are the wielder of the trident, the one with the discus, and the one who holds the noose and the conch.
नर्मदा चैव कावेरी केदारस्थलवासिनी । किशोरी केशवनुता महेन्द्रपरिवन्दिता ॥ ९ ॥
viśvēśvarī viśvamātā varadā:'bhayadā śivā
You are the one with the mace, adorned with a garland of skulls, and the compassionate one, the lotus-eyed.
ब्रह्मादिदेवनिर्माणकारिणी वेदपूजिता । कोटिब्रह्माण्डमध्यस्था कोटिब्रह्माण्डकारिणी ॥ १० ॥
śūlinī cakriṇī mā ca pāśinī śaṅkhadhāriṇī
You are the one who holds the lotus, O Ambā, and the beloved of great Vishnu.
श्रुतिरूपा श्रुतिकरी श्रुतिस्मृतिपरायणा । इन्दिरा सिन्धुतनया मातङ्गी लोकमातृका ॥ ११ ॥
gadinī muṇḍamālā ca kamalā karuṇālayā
You are the beloved of the Lord of Goloka, worshipped by the lord of Goloka.
त्रिलोकजननी तन्त्रा तन्त्रमन्त्रस्वरूपिणी । तरुणी च तमोहन्त्री मङ्गला मङ्गलायना ॥ १२ ॥
padmākṣadhāriṇī hyambā mahāviṣṇupriyaṅkarī
Gayā, the Ganges, and Yamuna, the river Gomati, seated on Garuda,
मधुकैटभमथनी शुम्भासुरविनाशिनी । निशुम्भादिहरा माता हरिशङ्करपूजिता ॥ १३ ॥
gōlōkanātharamaṇī gōlōkēśvarapūjitā
Gandakī, Sarayu, and Tapti, and Reva, the one rich in waters.
सर्वदेवमयी सर्वा शरणागतपालिनी । शरण्या शम्भुवनिता सिन्धुतीरनिवासिनी ॥ १४ ॥
gayā gaṅgā ca yamunā gōmatī garuḍāsanā
Narmada and Kaveri, residing in Kedara's land,
गन्धर्वगानरसिका गीता गोविन्दवल्लभा । त्रैलोक्यपालिनी तत्त्वरूपा तारुण्यपूरिता ॥ १५ ॥
gaṇḍakī sarayūstāpī rēvā caiva payasvinī
Kishori, praised by Keshava, honored by the king of gods.
चन्द्रावली चन्द्रमुखी चन्द्रिका चन्द्रपूजिता । चन्द्रा शशाङ्कभगिनी गीतवाद्यपरायणा ॥ १६ ॥
narmadā caiva kāvērī kēdārasthalavāsinī
The creator of Brahma and other deities, worshipped by the Vedas,
सृष्टिरूपा सृष्टिकरी सृष्टिसंहारकारिणी । इति ते कथितं देवि रमानामशताष्टकम् ॥ १७ ॥
kiśōrī kēśavanutā mahēndraparivanditā
Situated in the midst of countless universes, the creator of countless universes.
त्रिसन्ध्यं प्रयतो भूत्वा पठेदेतत्समाहितः । यं यं कामयते कामं तं तं प्राप्नोत्यसंशयम् ॥ १८ ॥
brahmādidēvanirmāṇakāriṇī vēdapūjitā
Embodiment of scripture, giver of knowledge, the ultimate refuge of scripture and memory,
इमं स्तवं यः पठतीह मर्त्यो
kōṭibrahmāṇḍamadhyasthā kōṭibrahmāṇḍakāriṇī
Indira, daughter of the river Sindhu, mother of the world,
वैकुण्ठपत्न्याः परमादरेण ।
śrutirūpā śrutikarī śrutismr̥tiparāyaṇā
Mother of the three worlds, embodying the essence of mantras and tantra.
धनाधिपाद्यैः परिवन्दितः स्यात्
indirā sindhutanayā mātaṅgī lōkamātr̥kā
The youthful one, dispeller of darkness, auspicious and the abode of auspiciousness,
प्रयास्यति श्रीपदमन्तकाले ॥ १९ ॥
trilōkajananī tantrā tantramantrasvarūpiṇī
The slayer of Madhu and Kaitabha, destroyer of Shumbha and Nishumbha,
इति श्री कमलाष्टोत्तरशतनामस्तोत्रम् । दशमहाविद्या स्तोत्राणि
taruṇī ca tamōhantrī maṅgalā maṅgalāyanā
Mother who removes the fear of Nishumbha, worshipped by Hari and Shankara,

Permeated by all deities, protector of all who seek refuge,
