The Sri Kamala Sahasranama Stotram extols the 1000 names of Goddess Lakshmi, celebrating her divine qualities and seeking her blessings for prosperity.
दशमहाविद्या स्तोत्राणि
tāmāhvayāmi subhagāṁ lakṣmīṁ trailōkyapūjitām
I invoke the auspicious Lakshmi, who is worshipped in all three worlds.
तामाह्वयामि सुभगां लक्ष्मीं त्रैलोक्यपूजिताम् ।
ēhyēhi dēvi padmākṣi padmākarakr̥tālayē
Come, O Goddess with lotus-like eyes, to the abode created by the lotus.
एह्येहि देवि पद्माक्षि पद्माकरकृतालये ॥ १ ॥
āgacchāgaccha varadē paśya māṁ svēna cakṣuṣā
Come, O granter of boons, see me with your own eyes.
आगच्छागच्छ वरदे पश्य मां स्वेन चक्षुषा ।
āyāhyāyāhi dharmārthakāmamōkṣamayē śubhē
Come, come, O auspicious one, for the purpose of righteousness, wealth, desire, and liberation.
आयाह्यायाहि धर्मार्थकाममोक्षमये शुभे ॥ २ ॥
ēvaṁ vidhaiḥ stutipadaiḥ satyaiḥ satyārthasaṁstutā
Thus, with these truthful praises, the one who is truly praised is the most fortunate,
एवं विधैः स्तुतिपदैः सत्यैः सत्यार्थसंस्तुता ।
kanīyasī mahābhāgā candrēṇa paramātmanā
Illuminated by the moon, the supreme soul.
कनीयसी महाभागा चन्द्रेण परमात्मना ॥ ३ ॥
niśākaraśca sā dēvī bhrātarau dvau payōnidhēḥ
That goddess is the moon, the two brothers of the ocean of milk.
निशाकरश्च सा देवी भ्रातरौ द्वौ पयोनिधेः ।
utpannamātrau tāvāstāṁ śivakēśavasaṁśritau
Having been born from them, may she be sheltered by Shiva and Keshava.
उत्पन्नमात्रौ तावास्तां शिवकेशवसंश्रितौ ॥ ४ ॥
sanatkumārastamr̥ṣiṁ samābhāṣya purātanam
Sanatkumara, the ancient sage, spoke to that sage,
सनत्कुमारस्तमृषिं समाभाष्य पुरातनम् ।
prōktavānitihāsaṁ tu lakṣmyāḥ stōtramanuttamam
Revealing the ancient history of the supreme hymn of Lakshmi.
प्रोक्तवानितिहासं तु लक्ष्म्याः स्तोत्रमनुत्तमम् ॥ ५ ॥
athēdr̥śānmahāghōrāddāridryānnarakātkatham
Now, how can one escape from such a great and dreadful poverty,
अथेदृशान्महाघोराद्दारिद्र्यान्नरकात्कथम् ।
muktirbhavati lōkē:'smin dāridryaṁ yāti bhasmatām
When liberation in this world leads poverty to ashes?
मुक्तिर्भवति लोकेऽस्मिन् दारिद्र्यं याति भस्मताम् ॥ ६ ॥
sanatkumāra uvāca
Sanatkumara said,
सनत्कुमार उवाच ।
pūrvaṁ kr̥tayugē brahmā bhagavān sarvalōkakr̥t
In the previous age of creation, the Lord Brahma created various forms of the universe and then contemplated.
पूर्वं कृतयुगे ब्रह्मा भगवान् सर्वलोककृत् । सृष्टिं नानाविधां कृत्वा पश्चाच्चिन्तामुपेयिवान् ॥ ७ ॥
sr̥ṣṭiṁ nānāvidhāṁ kr̥tvā paścāccintāmupēyivān
What will be the sustenance of these beings on the earth?
किमाहाराः प्रजास्त्वेताः सम्भविष्यन्ति भूतले । तथैव चासां दारिद्र्यात्कथमुत्तरणं भवेत् ॥ ८ ॥
kimāhārāḥ prajāstvētāḥ sambhaviṣyanti bhūtalē
And how will they overcome their poverty?
दारिद्र्यान्मरणं श्रेयस्त्विति सञ्चिन्त्य चेतसि । क्षीरोदस्योत्तरे कूले जगाम कमलोद्भवः ॥ ९ ॥
tathaiva cāsāṁ dāridryātkathamuttaraṇaṁ bhavēt
Considering that poverty is better than death,
तत्र तीव्रं तपस्तप्त्वा कदाचित्परमेश्वरम् । ददर्श पुण्डरीकाक्षं वासुदेवं जगद्गुरुम् ॥ १० ॥
dāridryānmaraṇaṁ śrēyastviti sañcintya cētasi
The lotus-born one went to the northern shore of the ocean of milk.
सर्वज्ञं सर्वशक्तीनां सर्वावासं सनातनम् । सर्वेश्वरं वासुदेवं विष्णुं लक्ष्मीपतिं प्रभुम् ॥ ११ ॥
kṣīrōdasyōttarē kūlē jagāma kamalōdbhavaḥ
There, after performing intense austerities, he once saw the Supreme Lord,
सोमकोटिप्रतीकाशं क्षीरोदविमले जले । अनन्तभोगशयनं विश्रान्तं श्रीनिकेतनम् ॥ १२ ॥
tatra tīvraṁ tapastaptvā kadācitparamēśvaram
The one with lotus-like eyes, Vasudeva, the teacher of the universe,
कोटिसूर्यप्रतीकाशं महायोगेश्वरेश्वरम् । योगनिद्रारतं श्रीशं सर्वावासं सुरेश्वरम् ॥ १३ ॥
dadarśa puṇḍarīkākṣaṁ vāsudēvaṁ jagadgurum
All-knowing, all-powerful, the eternal abode of all,
जगदुत्पत्तिसंहारस्थितिकारणकारणम् । लक्ष्म्यादिशक्तिकरणं जातमण्डलमण्डितम् ॥ १४ ॥
sarvajñaṁ sarvaśaktīnāṁ sarvāvāsaṁ sanātanam
The supreme lord Vasudeva, Vishnu, the master of Lakshmi,
आयुधैर्देहवद्भिश्च चक्राद्यैः परिवारितम् । दुर्निरीक्ष्यं सुरैः सिद्धैर्महायोनिशतैरपि ॥ १५ ॥
sarvēśvaraṁ vāsudēvaṁ viṣṇuṁ lakṣmīpatiṁ prabhum
Shining like millions of moons in the pure waters of the ocean,
आधारं सर्वशक्तीनां परं तेजः सुदुस्सहम् । प्रबुद्धं देवमीशानं दृष्ट्वा कमलसम्भवः ॥ १६ ॥
sōmakōṭipratīkāśaṁ kṣīrōdavimalē jalē
The one who rests on the infinite serpent, the abode of glory,
शिरस्यञ्जलिमाधाय स्तोत्रं पूर्वमुवाच ह । मनोवाञ्छितसिद्धिं त्वं पूरयस्व महेश्वर ॥ १७ ॥
anantabhōgaśayanaṁ viśrāntaṁ śrīnikētanam
Radiating like millions of suns, the supreme lord of great yogis,
जितं ते पुण्डरीक्ष नमस्ते विश्वभावन । नमस्तेऽस्तु हृषीकेश महापुरुषपूर्वज ॥ १८ ॥
kōṭisūryapratīkāśaṁ mahāyōgēśvarēśvaram
The one who is absorbed in the sleep of yoga, the glorious one,
सर्वेश्वर जयानन्द सर्वावास परात्पर । प्रसीद मम भक्तस्य छिन्धि सन्देहजं तमः ॥ १९ ॥
yōganidrārataṁ śrīśaṁ sarvāvāsaṁ surēśvaram
The cause of the creation, preservation, and dissolution of the universe,
एवं स्तुतः स भगवान् ब्रह्मणाऽव्यक्तजन्मना । प्रसादाभिमुखः प्राह हरिर्विश्रान्तलोचनः ॥ २० ॥
jagadutpattisaṁhārasthitikāraṇakāraṇam
The one who bestows powers like Lakshmi, surrounded by a circle of jewels,
श्रीभगवानुवाच । हिरण्यगर्भ तुष्टोऽस्मि ब्रूहि यत्तेऽभिवाञ्छितम् ।
lakṣmyādiśaktikaraṇaṁ jātamaṇḍalamaṇḍitam
Surrounded by weapons and bodies, encircled by the discus and other divine implements.
तद्वक्ष्यामि न सन्देहो भक्तोऽसि मम सुव्रत ॥ २१ ॥
āyudhairdēhavadbhiśca cakrādyaiḥ parivāritam
Difficult to perceive even by the gods and perfected beings,
केशवाद्वचनं श्रुत्वा करुणाविष्टचेतनः ।
durnirīkṣyaṁ suraiḥ siddhairmahāyōniśatairapi
The supreme light, the support of all powers, is extremely hard to bear.
प्रत्युवाच महाबुद्धिर्भगवन्तं जनार्दनम् ॥ २२ ॥
ādhāraṁ sarvaśaktīnāṁ paraṁ tējaḥ sudussaham
Seeing the awakened Lord Ishana, born of the lotus,
चतुर्विधं भवस्यास्य भूतसर्गस्य केशव ।
prabuddhaṁ dēvamīśānaṁ dr̥ṣṭvā kamalasambhavaḥ
With folded hands, he first spoke the hymn.
परित्राणाय मे ब्रूहि रहस्यं परमाद्भुतम् ॥ २३ ॥
śirasyañjalimādhāya stōtraṁ pūrvamuvāca ha
"O great Lord, fulfill the desires of my mind."
दारिद्र्यशमनं धन्यं मनोज्ञं पावनं परम् ।
manōvāñchitasiddhiṁ tvaṁ pūrayasva mahēśvara
"Victory to you, O lotus-eyed one; I bow to you, O creator of the universe."
सर्वेश्वर महाबुद्धे स्वरूपं भैरवं महत् ॥ २४ ॥
jitaṁ tē puṇḍarīkṣa namastē viśvabhāvana
"Salutations to you, O Hrishikesha, O supreme being of the ancient times,
श्रियः सर्वातिशायिन्यास्तथा ज्ञानं च शाश्वतम् ।
namastē:'stu hr̥ṣīkēśa mahāpuruṣapūrvaja
O Lord of all, joy of victory, the ultimate abode of all."
नामानि चैव मुख्यानि यानि गौणानि चाच्युत ॥ २५ ॥
sarvēśvara jayānanda sarvāvāsa parātpara
"Be gracious to me, your devotee; cut through the darkness born of doubt."
त्वद्वक्त्रकमलोत्थानि श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः ।
prasīda mama bhaktasya chindhi sandēhajaṁ tamaḥ
Thus praised, the Lord, with a manifest birth from Brahma,
इति तस्य वचः श्रुत्वा प्रतिवाक्यमुवाच सः ॥ २६ ॥
ēvaṁ stutaḥ sa bhagavān brahmaṇā:'vyaktajanmanā
Turned his face towards him and spoke, the Lord with restful eyes.
श्रीभगवानुवाच ।
prasādābhimukhaḥ prāha harirviśrāntalōcanaḥ
The Supreme Lord said,
महाविभूतिसम्युक्ता षाड्गुण्यवपुषः प्रभो । भगवद्वासुदेवस्य नित्यं चैषाऽनपायिनी ॥ २७ ॥
śrībhagavānuvāca
"I am pleased with Hiranyagarbha; tell me what you desire."
एकैव वर्ततेऽभिन्ना ज्योत्स्नेव हिमदीधितेः । सर्वशक्त्यात्मिका चैव विश्वं व्याप्य व्यवस्थिता ॥ २८ ॥
hiraṇyagarbha tuṣṭō:'smi brūhi yattē:'bhivāñchitam
"I will speak that; there is no doubt, you are my devoted one."
सर्वैश्वर्यगुणोपेता नित्यशुद्धस्वरूपिणी । प्राणशक्तिः परा ह्येषा सर्वेषां प्राणिनां भुवि ॥ २९ ॥
tadvakṣyāmi na sandēhō bhaktō:'si mama suvrata
Hearing the words of Keshava, the consciousness filled with compassion.
शक्तीनां चैव सर्वासां योनिभूता परा कला । अहं तस्याः परं नाम्नां सहस्रमिदमुत्तमम् ॥ ३० ॥
kēśavādvacanaṁ śrutvā karuṇāviṣṭacētanaḥ
The great intellect spoke to the Lord Janardana,
शृणुष्वावहितो भूत्वा परमैश्वर्यभूतिदम् । देव्याख्यास्मृतिमात्रेण दारिद्र्यं याति भस्मताम् ॥ ३१ ॥
pratyuvāca mahābuddhirbhagavantaṁ janārdanam
"Please tell me the secret, the most wonderful one,
अथ स्तोत्रम् ॥
caturvidhaṁ bhavasyāsya bhūtasargasya kēśava
About the fourfold nature of your creation, O Keshava,
ओं श्रीः पद्मा प्रकृतिः सत्त्वा शान्ता चिच्छक्तिरव्यया ।
paritrāṇāya mē brūhi rahasyaṁ paramādbhutam
That brings liberation to me,
केवला निष्कला शुद्धा व्यापिनी व्योमविग्रहा ॥ ३२ ॥
dāridryaśamanaṁ dhanyaṁ manōjñaṁ pāvanaṁ param
It is the remedy for poverty, blessed, delightful, and pure.
व्योमपद्मकृताधारा परा व्योमा मतोद्भवा ।
sarvēśvara mahābuddhē svarūpaṁ bhairavaṁ mahat
O Supreme Lord, of great intellect,
निर्व्योमा व्योममध्यस्था पञ्चव्योमपदाश्रिता ॥ ३३ ॥
śriyaḥ sarvātiśāyinyāstathā jñānaṁ ca śāśvatam
Your essence is the great Bhairava,
अच्युता व्योमनिलया परमानन्दरूपिणी ।
nāmāni caiva mukhyāni yāni gauṇāni cācyuta
And the wealth of all abundance,
नित्यशुद्धा नित्यतृप्ता निर्विकारा निरीक्षणा ॥ ३४ ॥
tvadvaktrakamalōtthāni śrōtumicchāmi tattvataḥ
As well as eternal knowledge.
ज्ञानशक्तिः कर्तृशक्तिर्भोक्तृशक्तिः शिखावहा ।
iti tasya vacaḥ śrutvā prativākyamuvāca saḥ
I wish to hear the principal and secondary names
स्नेहाभासा निरानन्दा विभूतिर्विमला चला ॥ ३५ ॥
śrībhagavānuvāca
That arise from your lotus-like face, truly.
अनन्ता वैष्णवी व्यक्ता विश्वानन्दा विकाशिनी ।
mahāvibhūtisamyuktā ṣāḍguṇyavapuṣaḥ prabhō
Hearing these words, he replied,
शक्तिर्विभिन्नसर्वार्तिः समुद्रपरितोषिणी ॥ ३६ ॥
bhagavadvāsudēvasya nityaṁ caiṣā:'napāyinī
The glorious Lord spoke:
मूर्तिः सनातनी हार्दी निस्तरङ्गा निरामया ।
ēkaiva vartatē:'bhinnā jyōtsnēva himadīdhitēḥ
"Endowed with great splendor,
ज्ञानज्ञेया ज्ञानगम्या ज्ञानज्ञेयविकासिनी ॥ ३७ ॥
sarvaśaktyātmikā caiva viśvaṁ vyāpya vyavasthitā
With the six divine qualities,
स्वच्छन्दशक्तिर्गहना निष्कम्पार्चिः सुनिर्मला ।
sarvaiśvaryaguṇōpētā nityaśuddhasvarūpiṇī
This is the eternal essence of Lord Vasudeva,
स्वरूपा सर्वगाऽपारा बृंहिणी सुगुणोर्जिता ॥ ३८ ॥
prāṇaśaktiḥ parā hyēṣā sarvēṣāṁ prāṇināṁ bhuvi
It is the one that does not perish,
अकलङ्का निराधारा निस्सङ्कल्पा निराश्रया ।
śaktīnāṁ caiva sarvāsāṁ yōnibhūtā parā kalā
It exists like the moonlight in the winter sun.
असङ्कीर्णा सुशान्ता च शाश्वती भासुरी स्थिरा ॥ ३९ ॥
ahaṁ tasyāḥ paraṁ nāmnāṁ sahasramidamuttamam
It pervades the universe with all potency,
अनौपम्या निर्विकल्पा निर्यन्त्रा यन्त्रवाहिनी ।
śr̥ṇuṣvāvahitō bhūtvā paramaiśvaryabhūtidam
Endowed with all divine qualities,
अभेद्या भेदिनी भिन्ना भारती वैखरी खगा ॥ ४० ॥
dēvyākhyāsmr̥timātrēṇa dāridryaṁ yāti bhasmatām
It is eternally pure in its essence."
अग्राह्या ग्राहिका गूढा गम्भीरा विश्वगोपिनी ।
atha stōtram
The life force is indeed the supreme essence of all beings on earth.
अनिर्देश्याऽप्रतिहता निर्बीजा पावनी परा ॥ ४१ ॥
ōṁ śrīḥ padmā prakr̥tiḥ sattvā śāntā cicchaktiravyayā
It is the supreme power of all energies that has manifested as the source.
अप्रतर्क्याऽपरिमिता भवभ्रान्तिविनाशिनी ।
kēvalā niṣkalā śuddhā vyāpinī vyōmavigrahā
I am that supreme essence, known by a thousand names,
एका द्विरूपा त्रिविधा असङ्ख्याता सुरेश्वरी ॥ ४२ ॥
vyōmapadmakr̥tādhārā parā vyōmā matōdbhavā
Listen, having become absorbed, it grants the highest prosperity.
सुप्रतिष्ठा महाधात्री स्थितिर्वृद्धिर्ध्रुवा गतिः ।
nirvyōmā vyōmamadhyasthā pañcavyōmapadāśritā
By merely remembering the goddess, poverty turns to ashes.
ईश्वरी महिमा ऋद्धिः प्रमोदा उज्ज्वलोद्यमा ॥ ४३ ॥
acyutā vyōmanilayā paramānandarūpiṇī
Now the hymn:
अक्षया वर्धमाना च सुप्रकाशा विहङ्गमा ।
nityaśuddhā nityatr̥ptā nirvikārā nirīkṣaṇā
Om, prosperity! The lotus is the nature of the tranquil essence, the imperishable consciousness.
नीरजा जननी नित्या जया रोचिष्मती शुभा ॥ ४४ ॥
jñānaśaktiḥ kartr̥śaktirbhōktr̥śaktiḥ śikhāvahā
It is the singular, unblemished, pure, all-pervading, and the embodiment of the sky.
तपोनुदा च ज्वाला च सुदीप्तिश्चांशुमालिनी ।
snēhābhāsā nirānandā vibhūtirvimalā calā
The support created by the sky-lotus is the supreme sky, born of the mind.
अप्रमेया त्रिधा सूक्ष्मा परा निर्वाणदायिनी ॥ ४५ ॥
anantā vaiṣṇavī vyaktā viśvānandā vikāśinī
Without the sky, residing in the sky, it is supported by the five aspects of the sky.
अवदाता सुशुद्धा च अमोघाख्या परम्परा ।
śaktirvibhinnasarvārtiḥ samudraparitōṣiṇī
The imperishable, dwelling in the sky, is the form of supreme bliss.
सन्धानकी शुद्धविद्या सर्वभूतमहेश्वरी ॥ ४६ ॥
mūrtiḥ sanātanī hārdī nistaraṅgā nirāmayā
Eternally pure, eternally satisfied, unchanging, and ever-observed,
लक्ष्मीस्तुष्टिर्महाधीरा शान्तिरापूरणेनवा ।
jñānajñēyā jñānagamyā jñānajñēyavikāsinī
The power of knowledge, the power of action, the power of enjoyment, is the bearer of the flame.
अनुग्रहाशक्तिराद्या जगज्ज्येष्ठा जगद्विधिः ॥ ४७ ॥
svacchandaśaktirgahanā niṣkampārciḥ sunirmalā
The essence of love, devoid of bliss, is the pure and moving splendor.
सत्या प्रह्वा क्रियायोग्या ह्यपर्णा ह्लादिनी शिवा ।
svarūpā sarvagā:'pārā br̥ṁhiṇī suguṇōrjitā
The infinite, manifesting as the divine, is the universal bliss, ever-expanding.
सम्पूर्णाह्लादिनी शुद्धा ज्योतिष्मत्यमतावहा ॥ ४८ ॥
akalaṅkā nirādhārā nissaṅkalpā nirāśrayā
The power that removes all suffering, the one who is pleased like the ocean,
रजोवत्यर्कप्रतिभाऽऽकर्षिणी कर्षिणी रसा ।
asaṅkīrṇā suśāntā ca śāśvatī bhāsurī sthirā
The eternal form, full of compassion, free from waves and without disease.
परा वसुमती देवी कान्तिः शान्तिर्मतिः कला ॥ ४९ ॥
anaupamyā nirvikalpā niryantrā yantravāhinī
The knowledge, the known, the path to knowledge, the one who manifests knowledge.
कला कलङ्करहिता विशालोद्दीपनी रतिः ।
abhēdyā bhēdinī bhinnā bhāratī vaikharī khagā
The self-dependent power, profound, the unshaken light, pure and clear.
सम्बोधिनी हारिणी च प्रभावा भवभूतिदा ॥ ५० ॥
agrāhyā grāhikā gūḍhā gambhīrā viśvagōpinī
The essence that pervades all, the one who is endowed with excellent qualities.
अमृतस्यन्दिनी जीवा जननी खण्डिका स्थिरा ।
anirdēśyā:'pratihatā nirbījā pāvanī parā
Without blemish, without support, free from desires and without refuge.
धूमा कलावती पूर्णा भासुरा सुमती रसा ॥ ५१ ॥
apratarkyā:'parimitā bhavabhrāntivināśinī
Unmixed, very peaceful, eternal, radiant, and stable.
शुद्धा ध्वनिः सृतिः सृष्टिर्विकृतिः कृष्टिरेव च ।
ēkā dvirūpā trividhā asaṅkhyātā surēśvarī
Incomparable, without doubt, unbound, the one who carries the instruments of creation.
प्रापणी प्राणदा प्रह्वा विश्वा पाण्डुरवासिनी ॥ ५२ ॥
supratiṣṭhā mahādhātrī sthitirvr̥ddhirdhruvā gatiḥ
Indestructible, the one who breaks apart, the one who is Bharati, the articulate.
अवनिर्वज्रनलिका चित्रा ब्रह्माण्डवासिनी ।
īśvarī mahimā r̥ddhiḥ pramōdā ujjvalōdyamā
Incomprehensible, the one who is grasped, hidden, profound, the universal protector.
अनन्तरूपाऽनन्तात्माऽनन्तस्थाऽनन्तसम्भवा ॥ ५३ ॥
akṣayā vardhamānā ca suprakāśā vihaṅgamā
Indefinable, unimpeded, seedless, the purest supreme.
महाशक्तिः प्राणशक्तिः प्राणदात्री रतिम्भरा ।
nīrajā jananī nityā jayā rōciṣmatī śubhā
Unthinkable, limited, the destroyer of worldly delusions.
महासमूहा निखिला इच्छाधारा सुखावहा ॥ ५४ ॥
tapōnudā ca jvālā ca sudīptiścāṁśumālinī
One, dual in form, triple, countless, the goddess of gods.
प्रत्यक्षलक्ष्मीर्निष्कम्पा प्ररोहा बुद्धिगोचरा ।
apramēyā tridhā sūkṣmā parā nirvāṇadāyinī
Well-established, the great nurturer, the foundation, growth, unwavering movement.
नानादेहा महावर्ता बहुदेहविकासिनी ॥ ५५ ॥
avadātā suśuddhā ca amōghākhyā paramparā
The divine, the glory, the prosperity, the joy, the brilliant rise.
सहस्राणी प्रधाना च न्यायवस्तुप्रकाशिका ।
sandhānakī śuddhavidyā sarvabhūtamahēśvarī
The imperishable, ever-increasing, well-illuminated bird,
सर्वाभिलाषपूर्णेच्छा सर्वा सर्वार्थभाषिणी ॥ ५६ ॥
lakṣmīstuṣṭirmahādhīrā śāntirāpūraṇēnavā
The eternal mother of the waters, victorious, radiant, and auspicious.
नानास्वरूपचिद्धात्री शब्दपूर्वा पुरातना ।
anugrahāśaktirādyā jagajjyēṣṭhā jagadvidhiḥ
The one who bestows penance, the flame, and the brilliant moonlight,
व्यक्ताऽव्यक्ता जीवकेशा सर्वेच्छापरिपूरिता ॥ ५७ ॥
satyā prahvā kriyāyōgyā hyaparṇā hlādinī śivā

rajōvatyarkapratibhā:':'karṣiṇī karṣiṇī rasā
The essence of pure knowledge, the great goddess of all beings.
प्रजापतीश्वरी रौद्री सर्वाधारा सुखावहा ।
parā vasumatī dēvī kāntiḥ śāntirmatiḥ kalā
Lakshmi, satisfaction, great wisdom, peace, and fulfillment,
कल्याणवाहिका कल्या कलिकल्मषनाशिनी ॥ ५९ ॥
kalā kalaṅkarahitā viśālōddīpanī ratiḥ
The power of grace, the foremost of the world, the creator of the universe.
नीरूपोद्भिन्नसन्ताना सुयन्त्रा त्रिगुणालया ।
sambōdhinī hāriṇī ca prabhāvā bhavabhūtidā
Truthful, gentle, suitable for action, the unyielding, joyful, and auspicious one,
महामाया योगमाया महायोगेश्वरी प्रिया ॥ ६० ॥
amr̥tasyandinī jīvā jananī khaṇḍikā sthirā
Complete, bliss-giving, pure, and the bearer of radiant wisdom.
महास्त्री विमला कीर्तिर्जया लक्ष्मीर्निरञ्जना ।
dhūmā kalāvatī pūrṇā bhāsurā sumatī rasā
Like the sun, illuminating, drawing forth the essence,
प्रकृतिर्भगवन्मायाशक्तिर्निद्रा यशस्करी ॥ ६१ ॥
śuddhā dhvaniḥ sr̥tiḥ sr̥ṣṭirvikr̥tiḥ kr̥ṣṭirēva ca
The supreme goddess of the earth, brilliance, peace, wisdom, and art.
चिन्ता बुद्धिर्यशः प्रज्ञा शान्तिराप्रीतिवर्धिनी ।
prāpaṇī prāṇadā prahvā viśvā pāṇḍuravāsinī
Art without blemish, vast, inspiring delight,
प्रद्युम्नमाता साध्वी च सुखसौभाग्यसिद्धिदा ॥ ६२ ॥
avanirvajranalikā citrā brahmāṇḍavāsinī
The one who enlightens, the enchanting, and the bestower of worldly prosperity.
काष्ठा निष्ठा प्रतिष्ठा च ज्येष्ठा श्रेष्ठा जयावहा ।
anantarūpā:'nantātmā:'nantasthā:'nantasambhavā
The immortal, life-giving, mother of existence, steadfast and enduring.
सर्वातिशायिनी प्रीतिर्विश्वशक्तिर्महाबला ॥ ६३ ॥
mahāśaktiḥ prāṇaśaktiḥ prāṇadātrī ratimbharā
The smoky one, adorned and full, radiant, with good intellect and essence,
वरिष्ठा विजया वीरा जयन्ती विजयप्रदा ।
mahāsamūhā nikhilā icchādhārā sukhāvahā
Pure sound, memory, creation, transformation, and indeed, the very act of cultivation.
हृद्गृहा गोपिनी गुह्या गणगन्धर्वसेविता ॥ ६४ ॥
pratyakṣalakṣmīrniṣkampā prarōhā buddhigōcarā
The one who grants life, the one who is light, universally residing in pale forms,
योगीश्वरी योगमाया योगिनी योगसिद्धिदा ।
nānādēhā mahāvartā bahudēhavikāsinī
The earth, with its diamond-like quality, colorful, residing in the cosmic egg.
महायोगेश्वरवृता योगा योगेश्वरप्रिया ॥ ६५ ॥
sahasrāṇī pradhānā ca nyāyavastuprakāśikā
Endlessly formed, with an endless soul, with an endless presence, and endless potential,
ब्रह्मेन्द्ररुद्रनमिता सुरासुरवरप्रदा ।
sarvābhilāṣapūrṇēcchā sarvā sarvārthabhāṣiṇī
The great power, the life force, the giver of life, full of delight.
त्रिवर्त्मगा त्रिलोकस्था त्रिविक्रमपदोद्भवा ॥ ६६ ॥
nānāsvarūpaciddhātrī śabdapūrvā purātanā
The great assembly, all-encompassing, the source of desires, bringing happiness,
सुतारा तारिणी तारा दुर्गा सन्तारिणी परा ।
vyaktā:'vyaktā jīvakēśā sarvēcchāparipūritā
The visible wealth, unwavering, the growth that is within the reach of intellect.
सुतारिणी तारयन्ती भूरितारेश्वरप्रभा ॥ ६७ ॥
saṅkalpasiddhā sāṅkhyēyā tattvagarbhā dharāvahā
In various forms, the great cycle, residing in many bodies,
गुह्यविद्या यज्ञविद्या महाविद्या सुशोभिता ।
bhūtarūpā citsvarūpā triguṇā guṇagarvitā
The thousands, the principal ones, revealing the essence of justice.
अध्यात्मविद्या विघ्नेशी पद्मस्था परमेष्ठिनी ॥ ६८ ॥
prajāpatīśvarī raudrī sarvādhārā sukhāvahā
Fulfilling all desires, the embodiment of all, the speaker of all meanings,
आन्वीक्षिकी त्रयी वार्ता दण्डनीतिर्नयात्मिका ।
kalyāṇavāhikā kalyā kalikalmaṣanāśinī
The one who cuts through various forms, the ancient one preceding sound.
गौरी वागीश्वरी गोप्त्री गायत्री कमलोद्भवा ॥ ६९ ॥
nīrūpōdbhinnasantānā suyantrā triguṇālayā
Manifest, manifest, with the hair of life, fully satisfying all wishes,
विश्वम्भरा विश्वरूपा विश्वमाता वसुप्रदा ।
mahāmāyā yōgamāyā mahāyōgēśvarī priyā
The one whose intentions are fulfilled, calculable, the bearer of truth.
सिद्धिः स्वाहा स्वधा स्वस्तिः सुधा सर्वार्थसाधिनी ॥ ७० ॥
mahāstrī vimalā kīrtirjayā lakṣmīrnirañjanā
The form of elements, the essence of consciousness, endowed with the three qualities.
इच्छा सृष्टिर्द्युतिर्भूतिः कीर्तिः श्रद्धा दया मतिः ।
prakr̥tirbhagavanmāyāśaktirnidrā yaśaskarī
The goddess of all beings, fierce and powerful, the source of all happiness
श्रुतिर्मेधा धृतिर्ह्रीः श्रीर्विद्या विबुधवन्दिता ॥ ७१ ॥
cintā buddhiryaśaḥ prajñā śāntirāprītivardhinī
The bearer of auspiciousness, the auspicious one, destroyer of sins of the age
अनसूया घृणा नीतिर्निर्वृतिः कामधुक्करा ।
pradyumnamātā sādhvī ca sukhasaubhāgyasiddhidā
Born from the water, with well-formed offspring, the one with three gunas
प्रतिज्ञा सन्ततिर्भूतिर्द्यौः प्रज्ञा विश्वमानिनी ॥ ७२ ॥
kāṣṭhā niṣṭhā pratiṣṭhā ca jyēṣṭhā śrēṣṭhā jayāvahā
The great illusion, the mistress of yoga, beloved of the great yogis
स्मृतिर्वाग्विश्वजननी पश्यन्ती मध्यमा समा ।
sarvātiśāyinī prītirviśvaśaktirmahābalā
The great woman, pure, the fame of victory, the goddess of wealth, untainted
सन्ध्या मेधा प्रभा भीमा सर्वाकारा सरस्वती ॥ ७३ ॥
variṣṭhā vijayā vīrā jayantī vijayapradā
Nature, the divine illusion, the power of the Lord, the giver of fame
काङ्क्षा माया महामाया मोहिनी माधवप्रिया ।
hr̥dgr̥hā gōpinī guhyā gaṇagandharvasēvitā
Thought, intelligence, fame, wisdom, peace, and the enhancer of joy
सौम्याभोगा महाभोगा भोगिनी भोगदायिनी ॥ ७४ ॥
yōgīśvarī yōgamāyā yōginī yōgasiddhidā
The virtuous mother of Pradyumna, the giver of happiness and fortune
सुधौतकनकप्रख्या सुवर्णकमलासना ।
mahāyōgēśvaravr̥tā yōgā yōgēśvarapriyā
Steadfastness, stability, the elder, the supreme, the bringer of victory
हिरण्यगर्भा सुश्रोणी हारिणी रमणी रमा ॥ ७५ ॥
brahmēndrarudranamitā surāsuravarapradā
The one who surpasses all, the beloved, the universal power, immensely strong
चन्द्रा हिरण्मयी ज्योत्स्ना रम्या शोभा शुभावहा ।
trivartmagā trilōkasthā trivikramapadōdbhavā
The best, the victorious, the brave, the one who grants victory
त्रैलोक्यमण्डना नारीनरेश्वरवरार्चिता ॥ ७६ ॥
sutārā tāriṇī tārā durgā santāriṇī parā
The one who resides in the heart, the cowherd maiden, the secret, served by celestial musicians
त्रैलोक्यसुन्दरी रामा महाविभववाहिनी ।
sutāriṇī tārayantī bhūritārēśvaraprabhā
The goddess of yogis, the mistress of yoga, the yogini, the giver of yoga's success
पद्मस्था पद्मनिलया पद्ममालाविभूषिता ॥ ७७ ॥
guhyavidyā yajñavidyā mahāvidyā suśōbhitā
Surrounded by the great lord of yoga, the yoga that is dear to the lord of yoga
पद्मयुग्मधरा कान्ता दिव्याभरणभूषिता ।
adhyātmavidyā vighnēśī padmasthā paramēṣṭhinī
The one who is worshipped by Brahma, Indra, and Rudra, the giver of boons to gods and demons
विचित्ररत्नमुकुटा विचित्राम्बरभूषणा ॥ ७८ ॥
ānvīkṣikī trayī vārtā daṇḍanītirnayātmikā
The one who travels the three paths, who resides in the three worlds, who is born from the foot of Trivikrama,
विचित्रमाल्यगन्धाढ्या विचित्रायुधवाहना ।
gaurī vāgīśvarī gōptrī gāyatrī kamalōdbhavā
The one who is a good star, the savior, the supreme Durga, the one who brings liberation,
महानारायणी देवी वैष्णवी वीरवन्दिता ॥ ७९ ॥
viśvambharā viśvarūpā viśvamātā vasupradā
The one who saves and leads, shining with the glory of the Lord of the many stars,
कालसङ्कर्षिणी घोरा तत्त्वसङ्कर्षिणी कला ।
siddhiḥ svāhā svadhā svastiḥ sudhā sarvārthasādhinī
The secret knowledge, the knowledge of sacrifice, the great knowledge, beautifully adorned,
जगत्सम्पूरणी विश्वा महाविभवभूषणा ॥ ८० ॥
icchā sr̥ṣṭirdyutirbhūtiḥ kīrtiḥ śraddhā dayā matiḥ
The knowledge of the self, the remover of obstacles, the one seated on the lotus, the supreme ruler,
वारुणी वरदा व्याख्या घण्टाकर्णविराजिता ।
śrutirmēdhā dhr̥tirhrīḥ śrīrvidyā vibudhavanditā
Philosophy, the threefold Veda, the art of communication, the essence of law,
नृसिंही भैरवी ब्राह्मी भास्करी व्योमचारिणी ॥ ८१ ॥
anasūyā ghr̥ṇā nītirnirvr̥tiḥ kāmadhukkarā
The fair one, the goddess of speech, the protector, the Gayatri born from the lotus,
ऐन्द्री कामधनुः सृष्टिः कामयोनिर्महाप्रभा ।
pratijñā santatirbhūtirdyauḥ prajñā viśvamāninī
The sustainer of the universe, the universal form, the mother of all, the giver of wealth,
दृष्टा काम्या विश्वशक्तिर्बीजगत्यात्मदर्शना ॥ ८२ ॥
smr̥tirvāgviśvajananī paśyantī madhyamā samā
Success, offering, self, well-being, nectar, the one who fulfills all desires,
गरुडारूढहृदया चान्द्री श्रीर्मधुरानना ।
sandhyā mēdhā prabhā bhīmā sarvākārā sarasvatī
Desire, creation, brilliance, prosperity, fame, faith, compassion, intellect,
महोग्ररूपा वाराही नारसिंही हतासुरा ॥ ८३ ॥
kāṅkṣā māyā mahāmāyā mōhinī mādhavapriyā
Hearing, wisdom, steadiness, modesty, prosperity, knowledge, revered by the enlightened,
युगान्तहुतभुग्ज्वाला कराला पिङ्गला कला ।
saumyābhōgā mahābhōgā bhōginī bhōgadāyinī
Non-envy, compassion, ethics, contentment, the wish-fulfilling cow,
त्रैलोक्यभूषणा भीमा श्यामा त्रैलोक्यमोहिनी ॥ ८४ ॥
sudhautakanakaprakhyā suvarṇakamalāsanā
Promise, continuity, existence, the sky, wisdom, the one who is the essence of the universe,
महोत्कटा महारक्ता महाचण्डा महासना ।
hiraṇyagarbhā suśrōṇī hāriṇī ramaṇī ramā
Memory, speech, the mother of all beings, the one who sees, the middle path, the equal,
शङ्खिनी लेखिनी स्वस्था लिखिता खेचरेश्वरी ॥ ८५ ॥
candrā hiraṇmayī jyōtsnā ramyā śōbhā śubhāvahā
Twilight, wisdom, radiance, formidable, all forms, Sarasvati.
भद्रकाली चैकवीरा कौमारी भगमालिनी ।
trailōkyamaṇḍanā nārīnarēśvaravarārcitā
Desire, the great illusion, the enchanting one, beloved of Madhava,
कल्याणी कामधुग्ज्वालामुखी चोत्पलमालिका ॥ ८६ ॥
trailōkyasundarī rāmā mahāvibhavavāhinī
Gentle, the great enjoyer, the giver of enjoyment,
बालिका धनदा सूर्या हृदयोत्पलमालिका ।
padmasthā padmanilayā padmamālāvibhūṣitā
With a golden luster like pure gold, seated on a golden lotus,
अजिता वर्षिणी रीतिर्भेरुण्डा गरुडासना ॥ ८७ ॥
padmayugmadharā kāntā divyābharaṇabhūṣitā
Golden wombed, with beautiful hips, the charming one, the goddess of delight,
वैश्वानरी महामाया महाकाली विभीषणा ।
vicitraratnamukuṭā vicitrāmbarabhūṣaṇā
The moonlight, golden and radiant, beautiful, bringing auspiciousness,
महामन्दारविभवा शिवानन्दा रतिप्रिया ॥ ८८ ॥
vicitramālyagandhāḍhyā vicitrāyudhavāhanā
The woman who adorns the three worlds, worshipped by the lord of men,
उद्रीतिः पद्ममाला च धर्मवेगा विभावनी ।
mahānārāyaṇī dēvī vaiṣṇavī vīravanditā
The beautiful one of the three worlds, Rama, the bearer of great wealth,
सत्क्रिया देवसेना च हिरण्यरजताश्रया ॥ ८९ ॥
kālasaṅkarṣiṇī ghōrā tattvasaṅkarṣiṇī kalā
Seated on a lotus, dwelling in a lotus, adorned with a garland of lotuses,
सहसावर्तमाना च हस्तिनादप्रबोधिनी ।
jagatsampūraṇī viśvā mahāvibhavabhūṣaṇā
The beloved one holding a pair of lotuses, adorned with divine ornaments,
हिरण्यपद्मवर्णा च हरिभद्रा सुदुर्धरा ॥ ९० ॥
vāruṇī varadā vyākhyā ghaṇṭākarṇavirājitā
With a crown of varied jewels, adorned with diverse garments,
सूर्या हिरण्यप्रकटसदृशी हेममालिनी ।
nr̥siṁhī bhairavī brāhmī bhāskarī vyōmacāriṇī
Rich in fragrant garlands, with a variety of weapons and vehicles,
पद्मानना नित्यपुष्टा देवमाताऽमृतोद्भवा ॥ ९१ ॥
aindrī kāmadhanuḥ sr̥ṣṭiḥ kāmayōnirmahāprabhā
The great goddess Narayani, the Vaishnavi, honored by heroes,
महाधना च या शृङ्गी कर्दमी कम्बुकन्धरा ।
dr̥ṣṭā kāmyā viśvaśaktirbījagatyātmadarśanā
The fierce one, the one who draws together the essence, the art,
आदित्यवर्णा चन्द्राभा गन्धद्वारा दुरासदा ॥ ९२ ॥
garuḍārūḍhahr̥dayā cāndrī śrīrmadhurānanā
The one who fills the world, the all-encompassing, adorned with great wealth,
वरार्चिता वरारोहा वरेण्या विष्णुवल्लभा ।
mahōgrarūpā vārāhī nārasiṁhī hatāsurā
The goddess Varuni, the giver of boons, resplendent like a bell.
कल्याणी वरदा वामा वामेशी विन्ध्यवासिनी ॥ ९३ ॥
yugāntahutabhugjvālā karālā piṅgalā kalā
The goddess Nrsimhi, Bhairavi, and Brahmi,
योगनिद्रा योगरता देवकीकामरूपिणी ।
trailōkyabhūṣaṇā bhīmā śyāmā trailōkyamōhinī
The radiant Bhaskari, the one who moves in the sky,
कंसविद्राविणी दुर्गा कौमारी कौशिकी क्षमा ॥ ९४ ॥
mahōtkaṭā mahāraktā mahācaṇḍā mahāsanā
Aindri, the wish-fulfilling bow, the creator of the universe,
कात्यायनी कालरात्रिर्निशितृप्ता सुदुर्जया ।
śaṅkhinī lēkhinī svasthā likhitā khēcarēśvarī
The one who is the source of desires, the great brilliance.
विरूपाक्षी विशालाक्षी भक्तानां परिरक्षिणी ॥ ९५ ॥
bhadrakālī caikavīrā kaumārī bhagamālinī
The one who is seen, the desired, the universal power,
बहुरूपा स्वरूपा च विरूपा रूपवर्जिता ।
kalyāṇī kāmadhugjvālāmukhī cōtpalamālikā
The seed of existence, the vision of the self.
घण्टानिनादबहुला जीमूतध्वनिनिस्स्वना ॥ ९६ ॥
bālikā dhanadā sūryā hr̥dayōtpalamālikā
With a heart mounted on Garuda, the moon-like,
महादेवेन्द्रमथिनी भ्रुकुटीकुटिलानना ।
ajitā varṣiṇī rītirbhēruṇḍā garuḍāsanā
The one with a sweet face.
सत्योपयाचिता चैका कौबेरी ब्रह्मचारिणी ॥ ९७ ॥
vaiśvānarī mahāmāyā mahākālī vibhīṣaṇā
The fierce form, the boar-headed, the lion-headed,
आर्या यशोदासुतदा धर्मकामार्थमोक्षदा ।
mahāmandāravibhavā śivānandā ratipriyā
The one who has slain demons.
दारिद्र्यदुःखशमनी घोरदुर्गार्तिनाशिनी ॥ ९८ ॥
udrītiḥ padmamālā ca dharmavēgā vibhāvanī
The flame of the final destruction, the terrible, the tawny, the artful,
भक्तार्तिशमनी भव्या भवभर्गापहारिणी ।
satkriyā dēvasēnā ca hiraṇyarajatāśrayā
The ornament of the three worlds, the terrible, the dark, the enchanting of the three worlds.
क्षीराब्धितनया पद्मा कमला धरणीधरा ॥ ९९ ॥
sahasāvartamānā ca hastinādaprabōdhinī
The one with great strength, the one with a red hue,
रुक्मिणी रोहिणी सीता सत्यभामा यशस्विनी ।
hiraṇyapadmavarṇā ca haribhadrā sudurdharā
The one with fierce beauty, the one seated on a great throne.
प्रज्ञाधाराऽमितप्रज्ञा वेदमाता यशोवती ॥ १०० ॥
sūryā hiraṇyaprakaṭasadr̥śī hēmamālinī
The conch-blower, the scribe, the healthy, the written, the queen of the sky.
समाधिर्भावना मैत्री करुणा भक्तवत्सला ।
padmānanā nityapuṣṭā dēvamātā:'mr̥tōdbhavā
The auspicious Kali, the single hero, the youthful, the one adorned with a garland.
अन्तर्वेदी दक्षिणा च ब्रह्मचर्यपरागतिः ॥ १०१ ॥
mahādhanā ca yā śr̥ṅgī kardamī kambukandharā
The auspicious, the flame of desire, the one with a lotus face,
दीक्षा वीक्षा परीक्षा च समीक्षा वीरवत्सला ।
ādityavarṇā candrābhā gandhadvārā durāsadā
The young girl, the giver of wealth, the sun, the one with a heart of lotuses.
अम्बिका सुरभिः सिद्धा सिद्धविद्याधरार्चिता ॥ १०२ ॥
varārcitā varārōhā varēṇyā viṣṇuvallabhā
The unconquered, the rain-bringer, the one with a fierce form, the one seated on Garuda.
सुदीप्ता लेलिहाना च कराला विश्वपूरका ।
kalyāṇī varadā vāmā vāmēśī vindhyavāsinī
The one who is the universal fire, the great illusion, the great Kali, the one who brings fear.
विश्वसंहारिणी दीप्तिस्तापनी ताण्डवप्रिया ॥ १०३ ॥
yōganidrā yōgaratā dēvakīkāmarūpiṇī
The one with great wealth, the one who brings joy, the beloved of love.
उद्भवा विरजा राज्ञी तापनी बिन्दुमालिनी ।
kaṁsavidrāviṇī durgā kaumārī kauśikī kṣamā
The rising of the lotus garland, the swift flow of righteousness,
क्षीरधारासुप्रभावा लोकमाता सुवर्चसा ॥ १०४ ॥
kātyāyanī kālarātrirniśitr̥ptā sudurjayā
The noble deeds, the divine army, residing in gold and silver,
हव्यगर्भा चाज्यगर्भा जुह्वतो यज्ञसम्भवा ।
virūpākṣī viśālākṣī bhaktānāṁ parirakṣiṇī
The one who turns swiftly, awakening the sound of the elephant,
आप्यायनी पावनी च दहनी दहनाश्रया ॥ १०५ ॥
bahurūpā svarūpā ca virūpā rūpavarjitā
Golden like the lotus, the auspicious one, hard to attain,
मातृका माधवी मुच्या मोक्षलक्ष्मीर्महर्धिदा ।
ghaṇṭāninādabahulā jīmūtadhvaninissvanā
The sun-like, radiant with gold, adorned with a necklace of gems,
सर्वकामप्रदा भद्रा सुभद्रा सर्वमङ्गला ॥ १०६ ॥
mahādēvēndramathinī bhrukuṭīkuṭilānanā
With a lotus face, eternally nourished, the divine mother born from nectar,
श्वेता सुशुक्लवसना शुक्लमाल्यानुलेपना ।
satyōpayācitā caikā kaubērī brahmacāriṇī
The great wealth, the one with the horn, the one with a muddy form,
हंसा हीनकरी हंसी हृद्या हृत्कमलालया ॥ १०७ ॥
āryā yaśōdāsutadā dharmakāmārthamōkṣadā
Golden in color, moon-like, with the door of fragrance, hard to approach,
सितातपत्रा सुश्रोणी पद्मपत्रायतेक्षणा ।
dāridryaduḥkhaśamanī ghōradurgārtināśinī
Worshipped by the best, the one who rides the best, the beloved of Vishnu,
सावित्री सत्यसङ्कल्पा कामदा कामकामिनी ॥ १०८ ॥
bhaktārtiśamanī bhavyā bhavabhargāpahāriṇī
Auspicious, the giver of boons, the left one, the goddess of the Vindhya,
दर्शनीया दृशा दृश्या स्पृश्या सेव्या वराङ्गना ।
kṣīrābdhitanayā padmā kamalā dharaṇīdharā
The sleep of yoga, immersed in yoga, the form of Devaki's desire,
भोगप्रिया भोगवती भोगीन्द्रशयनासना ॥ १०९ ॥
rukmiṇī rōhiṇī sītā satyabhāmā yaśasvinī
The one who frightens Kamsa, Durga, the youthful one, the daughter of Kashyapa,
आर्द्रा पुष्करिणी पुण्या पावनी पापसूदनी ।
prajñādhārā:'mitaprajñā vēdamātā yaśōvatī
Katyayani, the night of destruction, deeply satisfied, hard to conquer,
श्रीमती च शुभाकारा परमैश्वर्यभूतिदा ॥ ११० ॥

kāmyacārī ca kāmyā ca kāmācāravihāriṇī
The primal nature, the goddess of the East, the mother of yoga, swift as the mind.
तस्मात्प्रीता जगन्माता श्रीर्यस्याच्युतवल्लभा ।
himaśailēndrasaṅkāśā gajēndravaravāhanā
The rise of Dharma is like the sun, bringing happiness to all beings.
सुप्रीताः शक्तयस्तस्य सिद्धिमिष्टां दिशन्ति हि ॥ १६४ ॥
aśēṣasukhasaubhāgyasampadāṁ yōniruttamā
The mighty and the innocent, revered by those who follow Dharma, are present.
एक एव जगत्स्वामी शक्तिमानच्युतः प्रभुः ।
sarvōtkr̥ṣṭā sarvamayī sarvā sarvēśvarapriyā
Delicate and gentle-faced, the supreme teacher of gentle wisdom.
तदंशशक्तिमन्तोऽन्ये ब्रह्मेशानादयो यथा ॥ १६८ ॥
sarvāṅgayōniḥ sā:'vyaktā sampradhānēśvarēśvarī
With a beautiful face, she brings auspiciousness from all sides, a secret power dwelling in the cave.
तथैवैका परा शक्तिः श्रीस्तस्य करुणाश्रया ।
viṣṇuvakṣaḥsthalagatā kimataḥ paramucyatē
Armed with a plow, a poet, the nectar of all scriptures she carries.
ज्ञानादिषाड्गुण्यमयी या प्रोक्ता प्रकृतिः परा ॥ १६६ ॥
parā nirmahimā dēvī harivakṣaḥsthalāśrayā
The power of the sky, with a great body, she traverses the sky, filled with sweetness.
एकैकशक्तिः श्रीस्तस्या द्वितीयात्मनि वर्तते ।
sā dēvī pāpahantrī ca sānnidhyaṁ kurutānmama
The Ganges, the Vitasta, the Yamuna, the Chandra Bhaga, and the Sarasvati.
परा परेशी सर्वेशी सर्वाकारा सनातनी ॥ १६७ ॥
iti nāmnāṁ sahasraṁ tu lakṣmyāḥ prōktaṁ śubhāvaham
The best of sesame seeds, Urvashi, the mistress, a divine beauty.
अनन्तनामधेया च शक्तिचक्रस्य नायिका ।
parāvarēṇa bhēdēna mukhyagauṇēna bhāgataḥ
With arrows as her weapon, the innocent one with beautiful lips, she smiles charmingly.
जगच्चराचरमिदं सर्वं व्याप्य व्यवस्थिता ॥ १६८ ॥
yaścaitatkīrtayēnnityaṁ śr̥ṇuyādvāpi padmaja
Kakudminī, with a lovely back, grants both visible and invisible fruits.
तस्मादेकैव परमा श्रीर्ज्ञेया विश्वरूपिणी ।
śuciḥ samāhitō bhūtvā bhaktiśraddhāsamanvitaḥ
The one who fulfills desires, the one who is desired, wandering in the realm of desires.
सौम्या सौम्येन रूपेण संस्थिता नटजीववत् ॥ १६९ ॥
śrīnivāsaṁ samabhyarcya puṣpadhūpānulēpanaiḥ
Resembling the king of snowy mountains, riding the great elephant.
यो यो जगति पुम्भावः स विष्णुरिति निश्चयः ।
bhōgaiśca madhuparkādyairyathāśakti jagadgurum
The source of all happiness and fortune, the supreme origin.
या या तु नारीभावस्था तत्र लक्ष्मीर्व्यवस्थिता ॥ १७० ॥
tatpārśvasthāṁ śriyaṁ dēvīṁ sampūjya śrīdharapriyām
The highest of all, all-pervading, beloved by all deities.
प्रकृतेः पुरुषाच्चान्यस्तृतीयो नैव विद्यते ।
tatō nāmasahasrēṇa tōṣayētparamēśvarīm
The source of all limbs, she is manifest in the supreme lord of all.
अथ किं बहुनोक्तेन नरनारीमयो हरिः ॥ १७१ ॥
nāmaratnāvalīstōtramidaṁ yaḥ satataṁ paṭhēt
What is greater than that which resides on the chest of Vishnu?
अनेकभेदभिन्नस्तु क्रियते परमेश्वरः ।
prasādābhimukhī lakṣmīḥ sarvaṁ tasmai prayacchati
The supreme goddess, who takes refuge in the chest of Hari, is known as Parā Nirmahimā.
महाविभूतिं दयितां ये स्तुवन्त्यच्युतप्रियाम् ॥ १७२ ॥
yasyā lakṣmyāśca sambhūtāḥ śaktayō viśvagāḥ sadā
That goddess is the remover of sins and grants me her presence.
ते प्राप्नुवन्ति परमां लक्ष्मीं संशुद्धचेतसः ।
kāraṇatvaṁ na tiṣṭhanti jagatyasmiṁścarācarē
Thus, a thousand names of Lakshmi are proclaimed, bringing auspiciousness.
पद्मयोनिरिदं प्राप्य पठन् स्तोत्रमिदं क्रमात् ॥ १७३ ॥
tasmātprītā jaganmātā śrīryasyācyutavallabhā
In the distinction of the supreme and the subordinate,
दिव्यमष्टगुणैश्वर्यं तत्प्रसादाच्च लब्धवान् ।
suprītāḥ śaktayastasya siddhimiṣṭāṁ diśanti hi
whoever sings this daily or listens to it, even if born of the lotus,
सकामानां च फलदामकामानां च मोक्षदाम् ॥ १७४ ॥
ēka ēva jagatsvāmī śaktimānacyutaḥ prabhuḥ
becomes pure and focused, endowed with devotion and faith.
पुस्तकाख्यां भयत्रात्रीं सितवस्त्रां त्रिलोचनाम् ।
tadaṁśaśaktimantō:'nyē brahmēśānādayō yathā
Worshipping the Lord of wealth with flowers, incense, and ointments,
महापद्मनिषण्णां तां लक्ष्मीमजरतां नमः ॥ १७५ ॥
tathaivaikā parā śaktiḥ śrīstasya karuṇāśrayā
and with pleasures like honey and offerings, as much as possible, the world teacher,
करयुगलगृहीतं पूर्णकुम्भं दधाना
jñānādiṣāḍguṇyamayī yā prōktā prakr̥tiḥ parā
then worshipping the goddess of prosperity, who resides nearby, the beloved of Sri,
क्वचिदमलगतस्था शङ्खपद्माक्षपाणिः । क्वचिदपि दयिताङ्गे चामरव्यग्रहस्ता
ēkaikaśaktiḥ śrīstasyā dvitīyātmani vartatē
one should please the supreme Lord with a thousand names.
क्वचिदपि सृणिपाशं बिभ्रती हेमकान्तिः ॥ १७६ ॥
parā parēśī sarvēśī sarvākārā sanātanī
This hymn of the garland of names, whoever recites it constantly,
इति पद्मपुराणे काश्मीरवर्णने हिरण्यगर्भहृदये सर्वकामप्रदायकं पुरुषोत्तमप्रोक्तं श्री लक्ष्मी सहस्रनाम स्तोत्रम् ॥
anantanāmadhēyā ca śakticakrasya nāyikā
Lakshmi, turning towards them, grants everything.
दशमहाविद्या स्तोत्राणि
jagaccarācaramidaṁ sarvaṁ vyāpya vyavasthitā
Of whom the powers, born of Lakshmi, always pervade the universe,
Dasa Mahavidya - दशमहाविद्या
tasmādēkaiva paramā śrīrjñēyā viśvarūpiṇī
they do not remain as causes in this world of moving and non-moving beings.
Duswapna Nashaka Bala Kavacham – श्री बाला कवचम् – ३ (दुःस्वप्ननाशकम्)
saumyā saumyēna rūpēṇa saṁsthitā naṭajīvavat
Therefore, the beloved mother of the world, who is the beloved of the infallible,
Sri Kamala Kavacham – श्री कमला कवचम्
yō yō jagati pumbhāvaḥ sa viṣṇuriti niścayaḥ
is pleased, and her powers grant the desired accomplishments.
