Sri Kubjika Varnana Stotram
The Sri Kubjika Varnana Stotram praises Goddess Kubjika, invoking her blessings for spiritual empowerment and protection.
देवी स्तोत्राणि
nīlōtpaladalaśyāmā ṣaḍvaktrā ṣaṭprakāśakā
She who is dark like a blue lotus, with six faces and six forms of light,
नीलोत्पलदलश्यामा षड्वक्त्रा षट्प्रकाशका ।
cicchaktiraṣṭādaśākhyā bāhudvādaśasamyutā
Her power is known by the name of the eighteen, with twelve arms.
चिच्छक्तिरष्टादशाख्या बाहुद्वादशसम्युता ॥ १ ॥
siṁhāsanasukhāsīnā prētapadmōparisthitā
Seated on a throne of happiness, above a corpse lotus,
सिंहासनसुखासीना प्रेतपद्मोपरिस्थिता ।
kulakōṭisahasrākhyā karkōṭō mēkhalāsthitaḥ
With a multitude of thousands of families, the serpent Karkota is her girdle.
कुलकोटिसहस्राख्या कर्कोटो मेखलास्थितः ॥ २ ॥
takṣakēṇōpariṣṭācca galē hāraśca vāsukiḥ
Above the Takshaka, a necklace hangs from her neck, and Vasuki is her ornament.
तक्षकेणोपरिष्टाच्च गले हारश्च वासुकिः ।
kulikaḥ karṇayōryasyāḥ kūrmaḥ kuṇḍalamaṇḍalaḥ
The tortoise is her ear, and the circle of jewels is her crown.
कुलिकः कर्णयोर्यस्याः कूर्मः कुण्डलमण्डलः ॥ ३ ॥
bhruvōḥ padmō mahāpadmō vāmē nāgaḥ kapālakaḥ
On the left brow is a lotus, a great lotus, and on the right is a serpent, the skull-bearer.
भ्रुवोः पद्मो महापद्मो वामे नागः कपालकः ।
akṣasūtraṁ ca khaṭvāṅgaṁ śaṅkhaṁ pustaṁ ca dakṣiṇē
The akshasūtra and the khatvāṅga, the conch, and the pusta are on the right.
अक्षसूत्रं च खट्वाङ्गं शङ्खं पुस्तं च दक्षिणे ॥ ४ ॥
triśūlaṁ darpaṇaṁ khaḍgaṁ ratnamālāṅkuśaṁ dhanuḥ
The trident, the mirror, the sword, the gem necklace, and the goad are her bow.
त्रिशूलं दर्पणं खड्गं रत्नमालाङ्कुशं धनुः ।
śvētamūrdhaṁ mukhaṁ dēvyā ūrdhvaśvētaṁ tathām
Her head is white, her face is upward white,
श्वेतमूर्धं मुखं देव्या ऊर्ध्वश्वेतं तथाम् ॥ ५ ॥
pūrvāsyaṁ pāṇḍuraṁ krōdhi dakṣiṇaṁ kr̥ṣṇavarṇakam
The east is pale, the south is black with anger, and the north is like the moon on a snowy peak.
पूर्वास्यं पाण्डुरं क्रोधि दक्षिणं कृष्णवर्णकम् ।
himakundēndubhaṁ saumyaṁ brahmā pādatalē sthitaḥ
Brahma stands at her feet, Vishnu at her hips, and Rudra in her heart and throat.
हिमकुन्देन्दुभं सौम्यं ब्रह्मा पादतले स्थितः ॥ ६ ॥
viṣṇustu jaghanē rudrō hr̥di kaṇṭhē tathēśvaraḥ
Sadashiva is on her forehead, and Shiva stands above him.
विष्णुस्तु जघने रुद्रो हृदि कण्ठे तथेश्वरः ।
sadāśivō lalāṭē syācchivastasyōrdhvataḥ sthitaḥ
Thus, Kubjika should be meditated upon in worship and other rituals.
सदाशिवो ललाटे स्याच्छिवस्तस्योर्ध्वतः स्थितः । आघूर्णिता कुब्जिकैवं ध्येया पूजादिकर्मसु ॥ ७ ॥
āghūrṇitā kubjikaivaṁ dhyēyā pūjādikarmasu
Thus, in the Agneya Mahapurana, the narration of Kubjika worship is named the "Kubjikā Varṇana Stotram."
इत्याग्नेये महापुराणे कुब्जिकापूजाकथनं नाम चतुश्चत्वारिंशदधिकशततमोऽध्याये कुब्जिका वर्णन स्तोत्रम् । देवी स्तोत्राणि
