Sri Tulasi Stotram
The Sri Tulasi Stotram praises the sacred Tulasi plant, seeking her blessings for health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.
जगद्धात्रि नमस्तुभ्यं विष्णोश्च प्रियवल्लभे
jagaddhātri namastubhyaṁ viṣṇōśca priyavallabhē
I bow to you, O Jagaddhātri, and to Vishnu, the beloved.
यतो ब्रह्मादयो देवाः सृष्टिस्थित्यन्तकारिणः
yatō brahmādayō dēvāḥ sr̥ṣṭisthityantakāriṇaḥ
From whom the gods, including Brahma, arise and sustain creation.
नमस्तुलसि कल्याणि नमो विष्णुप्रिये शुभे
namastulasi kalyāṇi namō viṣṇupriyē śubhē
I bow to you, O auspicious Tulasī, and to you, O dear to Vishnu.
नमो मोक्षप्रदे देवि नमः सम्पत्प्रदायिके
namō mōkṣapradē dēvi namaḥ sampatpradāyikē
Salutations to the goddess who grants liberation and bestows wealth.
तुलसी पातु मां नित्यं सर्वापद्भ्यो:'पि सर्वदा
tulasī pātu māṁ nityaṁ sarvāpadbhyō:'pi sarvadā
May Tulasī protect me always, from all dangers, at all times.
कीर्तिता वापि स्मृता वापि पवित्रयति मानवम्
kīrtitā vāpi smr̥tā vāpi pavitrayati mānavam
Whether sung or remembered, she purifies the human.
नमामि शिरसा देवीं तुलसीं विलसत्तनुं
namāmi śirasā dēvīṁ tulasīṁ vilasattanuṁ
I bow my head to the goddess Tulasī, radiant in form.
यां दृष्ट्वा पापिनो मर्त्याः मुच्यन्ते सर्वकिल्बिषात्
yāṁ dr̥ṣṭvā pāpinō martyāḥ mucyantē sarvakilbiṣāt
Seeing her, sinful mortals are freed from all sins.
तुलस्या रक्षितं सर्वं जगदेतच्चराचरं
tulasyā rakṣitaṁ sarvaṁ jagadētaccarācaraṁ
All that is moving and unmoving in this world is protected by Tulasī.
या विनर्हन्ति पापानि दृष्ट्वा वा पापिभिर्नरैः
yā vinarhanti pāpāni dr̥ṣṭvā vā pāpibhirnaraiḥ
Those who see her are freed from sins, even if they are sinful.
नमस्तुलस्यतितरां यस्यै बद्धाञ्जलिं कलौ
namastulasyatitarāṁ yasyai baddhāñjaliṁ kalau
I bow to Tulasī, who is greater than all, to whom I offer my folded hands in this age.
कलयन्ति सुखं सर्वं स्त्रियो वैश्यास्तथा:'परे
kalayanti sukhaṁ sarvaṁ striyō vaiśyāstathā:'parē
All women and even the lower castes find happiness in her presence.
तुलस्या नापरं किञ्चिद्दैवतं जगतीतले
tulasyā nāparaṁ kiñciddaivataṁ jagatītalē
There is no other deity on this earth greater than Tulasī.
यथा पवित्रितो लोको विष्णुसङ्गेन वैष्णवः
yathā pavitritō lōkō viṣṇusaṅgēna vaiṣṇavaḥ
Just as the world is purified by the association with Vishnu,
तुलस्याः पल्लवं विष्णोः शिरस्यारोपितं कलौ
tulasyāḥ pallavaṁ viṣṇōḥ śirasyārōpitaṁ kalau
In this age, the leaves of Tulasī are placed on the head of Vishnu.
आरोपयति सर्वाणि श्रेयांसि वरमस्तके
ārōpayati sarvāṇi śrēyāṁsi varamastakē
The one who establishes all auspiciousness on the head of Tulasi,
तुलस्यां सकला देवा वसन्ति सततं यतः
tulasyāṁ sakalā dēvā vasanti satataṁ yataḥ
From whom all gods reside eternally,
अतस्तामर्चयेल्लोके सर्वान् देवान् समर्चयन्
atastāmarcayēllōkē sarvān dēvān samarcayan
Therefore, I shall worship all gods in this world,
नमस्तुलसि सर्वज्ञे पुरुषोत्तमवल्लभे
namastulasi sarvajñē puruṣōttamavallabhē
Salutations to Tulasi, the omniscient, beloved of the supreme person,
पाहि मां सर्व पापेभ्यः सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायिके
pāhi māṁ sarva pāpēbhyaḥ sarvasampatpradāyikē
Protect me from all sins, bestower of all prosperity,
इति स्तोत्रं पुरा गीतं पुण्डरीकेण धीमता
iti stōtraṁ purā gītaṁ puṇḍarīkēṇa dhīmatā
Thus, this hymn was sung by the wise Pundarika,
विष्णुमर्चयता नित्यं शोभनैस्तुलसीदलैः
viṣṇumarcayatā nityaṁ śōbhanaistulasīdalaiḥ
Always worshipping Vishnu with beautiful Tulasi leaves,
तुलसी श्रीर्महालक्ष्मीर्विद्याविद्या यशस्विनी
tulasī śrīrmahālakṣmīrvidyāvidyā yaśasvinī
Tulasi, the great Lakshmi, knowledge and ignorance, glorious,
धर्म्या धर्मानना देवी देवदेवमनःप्रिया
dharmyā dharmānanā dēvī dēvadēvamanaḥpriyā
The goddess of righteousness, who is dear to the god of gods,
लक्ष्मीप्रियसखी देवी द्यौर्भूमिरचला चला
lakṣmīpriyasakhī dēvī dyaurbhūmiracalā calā
The goddess, beloved friend of Lakshmi, the earth and the unmovable sky,
षोडशैतानि नामानि तुलस्याः कीर्तयन्नरः
ṣōḍaśaitāni nāmāni tulasyāḥ kīrtayannaraḥ
Those who chant the sixteen names of Tulasi,
लभते सुतरां भक्तिमन्ते विष्णुपदं लभेत्
labhatē sutarāṁ bhaktimantē viṣṇupadaṁ labhēt
Attain great devotion and reach the abode of Vishnu,
तुलसी भूर्महालक्ष्मीः पद्मिनी श्रीर्हरिप्रिया
tulasī bhūrmahālakṣmīḥ padminī śrīrharipriyā
Tulasi, the great Lakshmi, the lotus-born, dear to Hari,
तुलसि श्रीसखि शुभे पापहारिणि पुण्यदे
tulasi śrīsakhi śubhē pāpahāriṇi puṇyadē
Tulasi, auspicious friend, remover of sins, bestower of merit,
नमस्ते नारदनुते नारायणमनःप्रिये
namastē nāradanutē nārāyaṇamanaḥpriyē
Salutations to you, O Narada's disciple, dear to Narayana.
इति श्रीपुण्डरीककृतं तुलसीस्तोत्रम्
iti śrīpuṇḍarīkakr̥taṁ tulasīstōtram
