Everyone from across the world comes to have a taste of these delicacies. Here are some of the must haves to try when in Pushkar.

Dal Bati Churma. 

This savoury excellence is a Rajastani speciality. Very rich with Ghee and high on the calorie count. This savoury dish is usually eaten with the local sweet Churma to even out the saltiness of the Dal and Bati.

Poha Pakwan.

This delicious fusion of different ethnicities can only be found here in Pushkar. A wonder child of Dal Pakwan and Poha, a cherished breakfast item found only at Pushkar Breakfast Corner. A perfect combination between the soft fluffy Poha that is topped with crispy salty namkeen. Keep in mind this is a breakfast dish and will only be available till 10 am.

Parathas.

A very popular breakfast preference nationwide, but here in Pushkar you can get 2 different types of Parathas. Plain and stuffed, the stuffed parathas have different veggies and spices filled in the paratha making it a healthy and delicious breakfast option. Must try with tangy pickle.

Kachori.

This deep fried delicacy is very popular among the locals. It is a savoury dish with seasoned filling in it to make it even more delicious contrasting to it’s hard and crisp outer layer. Found on almost every street corner, best enjoyed hot with tea.

Malpua.

This has to be the best speciality Pushkar has to offer.

No one does Malpua like the Halwais in Pushkar.

This dessert is tiny Malpuas deep fried and soaked in Chashni and has a somewhat nutty flavour to it. If you think this is sweet you will be surprised to know it is traditionally served with sweet condensed milk.

Where to eat: Sarwadiya Mishthan Bhandar, Badi Basti.

Lassi.

Although you can find Lassi all across the country, it is especially famous in Pushkar. The sweet liquid is best sold in Kesar and Plain flavours.
