Being the birthplace of Lord Ram, the city transforms into a lighthouse during Diwali.The river saryu is the spot for Aarti in the presence of many priests and devotees. Thousands of diyas light up in the river Saryu ( which is the most beautiful view). In 2021 Ayodhya people set the target of lighting up over 9-10 lakh diyas to celebrate diwali. Every year they do something out of the Box to make the diwali celebration unique and special.
Ram Navami Celebration of Ayodhya
Thousands of devotees visit Ayodhya to witness melas or celebration of birth of Shri Ram on the ninth day of Navratri during Shukla paksh. Special poojas are usually performed on this occasion in Ram Janmabhoomi temple and many news channels also telecast these poojas, CM or officials of the state also get invited in this celebration.
