हे ब्रह्मा जी के कुल को सुशोभित करने वाले, यमपुरी के अधिपति, आप ही पुण्य और पाप का लेखा-जोखा रखने वाले चित्रगुप्त स्वामी हैं। आपके मस्तक पर मुकुट और कानों में कुण्डल अत्यंत सुशोभित हो रहे हैं। O Shri Chitragupta Swami, you are the ornament of Brahma's lineage and the master of Yamapuri, the one who meticulously records all good and bad deeds. Your head is adorned with a crown, and your ears with earrings, enhancing your divine appearance.
अति सोहे । श्यामवर्ण शशि सा मुख, सबके मन मोहे ॥

आपका सांवला रंग और चंद्रमा के समान कांतिमान मुखमंडल अत्यंत मनमोहक है, जो सभी के मन को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है। यह आपकी अलौकिक सुंदरता का प्रतीक है। Your dark complexion and moon-like radiant face are exceedingly captivating, enchanting the hearts of all who behold you. This signifies your divine and alluring beauty.
भाल तिलक से भूषित, लोचन सुविशाला । शंख सरीखी गरदन, गले में मणिमाला ॥
bhāla tilaka se bhūṣita, locana suviśālā| śaṁkha sarīkhī garadana, gale meṁ maṇimālā||
आपके मस्तक पर तिलक सुशोभित है और आपकी आँखें विशाल हैं, जो ज्ञान और दूरदर्शिता का प्रतीक हैं। आपकी गर्दन शंख के समान सुंदर है और गले में मणियों की माला शोभायमान है। Your forehead is adorned with a sacred mark (tilak), and your eyes are large and expansive, symbolizing wisdom and foresight. Your neck is beautiful like a conch shell, and a garland of jewels graces your throat.
अर्ध शरीर जनेऊ, लंबी भुजा छाजै । कमल दवात हाथ में, पादुक परा भ्राजे ॥
ardha śarīra janeū, laṁbī bhujā chājai| kamala davāta hātha meṁ, pāduka parā bhrāje||
आपके आधे शरीर पर जनेऊ (यज्ञोपवीत) सुशोभित है और आपकी भुजाएँ लंबी तथा शक्तिशाली प्रतीत होती हैं। आपके हाथों में कमल और दवात हैं, जो ज्ञान और लेखन के प्रतीक हैं, और आपके चरणों में पादुकाएँ सुशोभित हैं। A sacred thread (janeu) adorns half of your body, and your long arms appear powerful and graceful. You hold a lotus and an inkpot in your hands, symbolizing knowledge and the act of writing, while your feet are graced with beautiful sandals.
नृप सौदास अनर्थी, था अति बलवाला । आपकी कृपा द्वारा, सुरपुर पग धारा ॥
nṛpa saudāsa anarthī, thā ati balavālā| āpakī kṛpā dvārā, surapura paga dhārā||
राजा सौदास, जो अधर्मी और अत्यंत बलशाली था, आपकी कृपा से ही स्वर्गलोक को प्राप्त कर सका। यह आपकी असीम शक्ति और न्यायप्रियता का प्रमाण है कि आप अधर्मी को भी सही मार्ग दिखा सकते हैं। King Saudasa, who was unrighteous and exceedingly powerful, was able to attain the heavenly abode only through your grace. This stands as proof of your immense power and sense of justice, demonstrating your ability to guide even the unrighteous towards the right path.
भक्ति भाव से यह, आरती जो कोई गावे । मनवांछित फल पाकर, सद्गति पावे ॥
bhakti bhāva se yaha, āratī jo koī gāve| manavāṁchita phala pākara, sadgati pāve||
जो कोई भी भक्त सच्चे मन और श्रद्धा भाव से इस आरती का गायन करता है, उसे निश्चित रूप से अपने मन की इच्छाओं के अनुरूप फल प्राप्त होते हैं। भगवान चित्रगुप्त की कृपा से उसे जीवन में सद्गति और उत्तम मार्ग की प्राप्ति होती है, जिससे उसका जीवन सफल और सार्थक बनता है। Whoever sings this Aarti with true devotion and faith, undoubtedly attains the fruits of their heart's desires. By the grace of Lord Chitragupta, they achieve a good destiny and the right path in life, making their existence successful and meaningful.
