जय चित्रगुप्त यमेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् । जय पूज्यपद पद्मेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥ जय देव देव दयानिधे,
jaya citragupta yameśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam| jaya pūjyapada padmeśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam|| jaya deva deva dayānidhe,
हे चित्रगुप्त महाराज, जो यमराज के स्वामी हैं, हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं। आपके चरण कमलों में हमारा नमन है, हम आपकी शरण ग्रहण करते हैं। आप देवों के देव और दया के सागर हैं। O Lord Chitragupta, who is the master of Yamaraja, we seek refuge at your feet. We bow down to your lotus feet and surrender to you. You are the God of gods and an ocean of compassion.
जय दीनबन्धु कृपानिधे । कर्मेश जय धर्मेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥
jaya dīnabandhu kṛpānidhe| karmeśa jaya dharmeśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam||
हे दीनों के बंधु और कृपा के सागर, आपकी जय हो। आप कर्मों के स्वामी और धर्म के अधिपति हैं, हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं। Victory to you, O friend of the distressed and ocean of grace. You are the lord of actions and the master of righteousness, and we surrender to you.
जय चित्र अवतारी प्रभो, जय लेखनीधारी विभो । जय श्यामतम, चित्रेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥
jaya citra avatārī prabho, jaya lekhanīdhārī vibho| jaya śyāmatama, citreśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam||
हे चित्रगुप्त, आप चित्र के अवतार हैं और लेखनी धारण करने वाले हैं। आपकी जय हो, हे श्याम वर्ण वाले चित्रेश, हम आपकी शरण में हैं। Victory to you, O Chitragupta, who is an incarnation of the divine form and holds the pen. Victory to you, O dark-complexioned Chitresh, we seek refuge in you.
पुर्वज व भगवत अंश जय, कास्यथ कुल, अवतंश जय । जय शक्ति, बुद्धि विशेष तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥
purvaja va bhagavata aṁśa jaya, kāsyatha kula, avataṁśa jaya| jaya śakti, buddhi viśeṣa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam||
आप पूर्वजों और भगवान के अंश हैं, कायस्थ कुल के आभूषण हैं। आपकी शक्ति और बुद्धि अद्वितीय है, हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं। You are an embodiment of ancestors and a part of the divine, an ornament of the Kayastha lineage. Your power and intellect are unique, and we surrender to you.
जय विज्ञ क्षत्रिय धर्म के, ज्ञाता शुभाशुभ कर्म के । जय शांति न्यायाधीश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥
jaya vijña kṣatriya dharma ke, jñātā śubhāśubha karma ke| jaya śāṁti nyāyādhīśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam||
आप क्षत्रिय धर्म के ज्ञाता हैं और शुभ-अशुभ कर्मों के जानकार हैं। हे शांति के न्यायाधीश, आपकी जय हो, हम आपकी शरण में हैं। You are well-versed in the Kshatriya dharma and knower of auspicious and inauspicious deeds. Victory to you, O judge of peace, we seek refuge in you.
जय दीन अनुरागी हरी, चाहें दया दृष्टि तेरी । कीजै कृपा करूणेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥
jaya dīna anurāgī harī, cāheṁ dayā dṛṣṭi terī| kījai kṛpā karūṇeśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam||
हे दीनों पर प्रेम करने वाले प्रभु, हम आपकी दया दृष्टि की कामना करते हैं। हे करुणा के सागर, हम पर कृपा कीजिए। हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं, आपकी शरण में आए हैं। O Lord, who loves the humble and the poor, we earnestly desire your compassionate gaze upon us. O ocean of mercy, please bestow your grace upon us. We have come to seek refuge in you, we surrender ourselves to your protection.
तब नाथ नाम प्रताप से, छुट जायें भव, त्रयताप से । हो दूर सर्व कलेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥
taba nātha nāma pratāpa se, chuṭa jāyeṁ bhava, trayatāpa se| ho dūra sarva kaleśa tava, śaraṇāgatam śaraṇāgatam||
हे नाथ, आपके पवित्र नाम के प्रताप से हम संसार के तीनों तापों (दैहिक, दैविक, भौतिक) से मुक्त हो जाएँ। आपके नाम के प्रभाव से हमारे सभी कष्ट और क्लेश दूर हो जाएँ। हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं, आपकी शरण में आए हैं। O Lord, by the glory and power of your sacred name, may we be freed from the three types of worldly afflictions (physical, divine, and material). May all our sorrows and troubles be dispelled by the influence of your name. We have come to seek refuge in you, we surrender ourselves to your protection.
जय चित्रगुप्त यमेश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् । जय पूज्य पद पद्येश तव, शरणागतम् शरणागतम् ॥

हे यमराज के लेखपाल, भगवान चित्रगुप्त की जय हो, हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं। आपके पूजनीय चरण कमलों की जय हो, हम आपकी शरण में आए हैं। Victory to Lord Chitragupta, the record-keeper of Yamaraja; we surrender ourselves to your protection. Victory to your revered lotus feet; we surrender ourselves to your protection.
