ॐ जय जय धर्म धुरन्धर, जय लोकत्राता । धर्मराज प्रभु तुम ही, हो हरिहर धाता ॥ जय देव दण्ड पाणिधर यम तुम,
oṁ jaya jaya dharma dhurandhara, jaya lokatrātā| dharmarāja prabhu tuma hī, ho harihara dhātā|| jaya deva daṇḍa pāṇidhara yama tuma,
हे धर्मराज, आपकी जय हो! आप धर्म को धारण करने वाले और तीनों लोकों के रक्षक हैं। आप ही भगवान हरि और हर (विष्णु और शिव) के स्वरूप हैं, जो सृष्टि का पालन और संहार करते हैं। हम आपकी स्तुति करते हैं। Hail, O Dharmaraja, the upholder of righteousness and the protector of all worlds. You are the very essence of Hari (Vishnu) and Hara (Shiva), sustaining and dissolving the cosmos. We offer our praises to you.
पापी जन कारण । सुकृति हेतु हो पर तुम, वैतरणी ताराण ॥2॥
pāpī jana kāraṇa| sukṛti hetu ho para tuma, vaitaraṇī tārāṇa||2||
हे देव, आप दंड धारण करने वाले यमराज हैं, जो पापियों को उनके कर्मों का फल देते हैं। वहीं, आप पुण्यात्माओं के लिए वैतरणी नदी को पार कराने वाले तारणहार भी हैं। आप न्याय के प्रतीक हैं। O Divine One, you are Yama, the wielder of the staff of punishment for sinners. Yet, for the virtuous, you are the savior who helps them cross the Vaitarani river. You embody justice in its purest form.
न्याय विभाग अध्यक्ष हो, नीयत स्वामी । पाप पुण्य के ज्ञाता, तुम अन्तर्यामी ॥3॥
nyāya vibhāga adhyakṣa ho, nīyata svāmī| pāpa puṇya ke jñātā, tuma antaryāmī||3||
आप न्याय विभाग के अध्यक्ष हैं और सभी के नियत स्वामी हैं। आप पाप और पुण्य के ज्ञाता हैं, और सबके अंतर्मन की बात जानने वाले अंतर्यामी हैं। आपके समक्ष कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है। You are the head of the department of justice and the destined master of all beings. You possess complete knowledge of sin and virtue, and as the indweller, you know the innermost thoughts of everyone. Nothing is hidden from your sight.
दिव्य दृष्टि से सबके, पाप पुण्य लखते । चित्रगुप्त द्वारा तुम, लेखा सब रखते ॥4॥
divya dṛṣṭi se sabake, pāpa puṇya lakhate| citragupta dvārā tuma, lekhā saba rakhate||4||
आप अपनी दिव्य दृष्टि से सभी के पाप और पुण्य को देखते हैं। आपके सहायक चित्रगुप्त के माध्यम से आप सभी प्राणियों के कर्मों का लेखा-जोखा रखते हैं। कोई भी कर्म आपकी दृष्टि से ओझल नहीं होता। With your divine vision, you perceive the sins and merits of all beings. Through your assistant Chitragupta, you meticulously maintain the records of everyone's actions. No deed escapes your watchful eye.
छात्र पात्र वस्त्रान्न क्षिति, शय्याबानी । तब कृपया, पाते हैं, सम्पत्ति मनमानी ॥5॥
chātra pātra vastrānna kṣiti, śayyābānī| taba kṛpayā, pāte haiṁ, sampatti manamānī||5||
आपकी कृपा से ही लोग छात्र, पात्र, वस्त्र, अन्न, भूमि और शय्या आदि मनचाही संपत्ति प्राप्त करते हैं। आपकी दया से ही सांसारिक सुख और समृद्धि मिलती है। It is by your grace that people attain desired possessions such as students, worthy recipients, clothes, food, land, and comfortable beds. All worldly comforts and prosperity are bestowed through your compassion.
द्विज, कन्या, तुलसी, का करवाते परिणय । वंशवृद्धि तुम उनकी, करते नि:संशय ॥6॥
dvija, kanyā, tulasī, kā karavāte pariṇaya| vaṁśavṛddhi tuma unakī, karate ni:saṁśaya||6||
हे धर्मराज, आप ब्राह्मणों, कन्याओं और तुलसी के विवाह संपन्न करवाते हैं। इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि आप ही उनके वंश की वृद्धि करते हैं और उन्हें संतान सुख प्रदान करते हैं। यह आपकी कृपा का ही परिणाम है कि ये सभी अपने जीवन में पूर्णता पाते हैं। O Dharmaraja, you orchestrate the marriages of Brahmins, maidens, and the sacred Tulasi. Undoubtedly, it is you who ensures the growth of their lineage and blesses them with progeny. It is solely through your grace that they achieve fulfillment in their lives.
दानोद्यापन-याजन, तुष्ट दयासिन्धु । मृत्यु अनन्तर तुम ही, हो केवल बन्धु ॥7॥
dānodyāpana-yājana, tuṣṭa dayāsindhu| mṛtyu anantara tuma hī, ho kevala bandhu||7||
आप दान और यज्ञों के उद्यापन से प्रसन्न होने वाले दया के सागर हैं। मृत्यु के उपरांत, इस संसार में केवल आप ही हमारे सच्चे बंधु और सहायक होते हैं, जो हमें उचित गति प्रदान करते हैं। You are an ocean of compassion, pleased by the completion of donations and sacrifices. After death, in this world, you alone are our true relative and helper, guiding us to the appropriate destination.
धर्मराज प्रभु, अब तुम दया ह्रदय धारो । जगत सिन्धु से स्वामिन, सेवक को तारो ॥8॥
dharmarāja prabhu, aba tuma dayā hradaya dhāro| jagata sindhu se svāmina, sevaka ko tāro||8||
हे प्रभु धर्मराज, अब आप अपने हृदय में दया धारण करें और हम पर कृपा करें। हे स्वामी, इस संसार रूपी सागर से अपने इस सेवक को पार लगाइए और मोक्ष प्रदान कीजिए। O Lord Dharmaraja, now please hold compassion in your heart and bestow your grace upon us. O Master, ferry this servant across the ocean of this worldly existence and grant liberation.
धर्मराज जी की आरती, जो कोई नर गावे । धरणी पर सुख पाके, मनवांछित फल पावे ॥9॥
dharmarāja jī kī āratī, jo koī nara gāve| dharaṇī para sukha pāke, manavāṁchita phala pāve||9||
जो कोई भी मनुष्य धर्मराज जी की यह आरती गाता है, वह इस पृथ्वी पर सुख प्राप्त करता है। उसे अपने मन की सभी इच्छाओं के अनुरूप फल की प्राप्ति होती है और उसका जीवन सफल होता है। Any person who sings this Aarti of Dharmaraja attains happiness on this earth. They receive the fruits of all their heart's desires, and their life becomes successful.
