शरीकाञछीकामकोटीमठपयतिवरं शङकरारयसवरूपं सुज्ञानं सारवभौमं सकलमतविदां पालकं दवैतहीनम
śrīkāñchīkāmakoṭīmaṭhapayativaraṃ śaṅkarāryasvarūpaṃ sujñānaṃ sārvabhaumaṃ sakalamatavidāṃ pālakaṃ dvaitahīnam
To the divine Shankara, the embodiment of wisdom, who guides all seekers, the essence of all knowledge, the protector of the enlightened, I offer my devotion.
काले कलकिपरभावाननिगमगिरिमधसतातपतनतं वहनतं वनदे कूरमसवरूपं हरिमिव सततं छनदरमौॢिं यतीनदरम
kāle kalkiprabhāvānnigamagirimadhastātpatantaṃ vahantaṃ vande kūrmasvarūpaṃ harimiva satataṃ chandramauḷiṃ yatīndram
In the time of calamity, amidst the mountains of the Vedas, He bears the burden of the world, like the tortoise, ever steady, a form of Hari, the eternal, the Lord of ascetics.
शरीमनमहादेवयतीशवराणां कराबजजातं सुयमीनदरमुखयम
śrīmanmahādevayatīśvarāṇāṃ karābjajātaṃ suyamīndramukhyam
To the great Lord Mahadeva, the master of ascetics, whose hands are adorned with the sacred thread, I bow.
सरवज्ञकलपं विधिविŚणुरूपं शरीछनदरमौॢीनदरयतिं नमामि
sarvajñakalpaṃ vidhiviŚṇurūpaṃ śrīchandramauḷīndrayatiṃ namāmi
I bow to the Lord who is the embodiment of all knowledge, who manifests as Vishnu, the eternal, the Lord of the ascetics.
शरीशङकराछरयगुरुसवरूपं शरीछनदरमौॢीनदरकराबजजातम
śrīśaṅkarācharyagurusvarūpaṃ śrīchandramauḷīndrakarābjajātam
To the Guru, the form of Shankara, who guides the seeker, I bow to the Lord of the ascetics, whose hands are adorned with the sacred thread.
शरीकामकोटीनदरयतिं वरेणयं शरीमजजयेनदरं शरणं परपदये
śrīkāmakoṭīndrayatiṃ vareṇyaṃ śrīmajjayendraṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye
To the Lord of the Kankoti, the supreme ascetic, I take refuge in the glorious Majjaya, the Lord.
वेदाखयवृ^िकŚमनिशं परिपालयनतं विदवदवरेणयपततां भुवि कलपवृ^िकŚम
vedākhyavṛ^ikŚamaniśaṃ paripālayantaṃ vidvadvareṇyapatatāṃ bhuvi kalpavṛ^ikŚam
He who nourishes the sacred tree of knowledge, ever vigilant, I bow to the Lord of the Vedas.
नितयं हसनमुखमनोज्ञशशिसवरूपं शरीमजजयेनदरमनिशं शरणं परपदये
nityaṃ hasanmukhamanojñaśaśisvarūpaṃ śrīmajjayendramaniśaṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye
To the ever-smiling, charming moon-like Lord Majjaya, I take refuge eternally.
जगदगुरुभयां विबुधारछिताभयां शरीछनदरमौॢीनदरजयेनदरकाभयाम
jagadgurubhyāṃ vibudhārchitābhyāṃ śrīchandramauḷīndrajayendrakābhyām
To the world teacher, who dispels fear, I bow to the Lord of the ascetics, the conqueror of fear.
शरीकामकोटीशवरशङकराभयां नमः सुविदरकŚणदीकŚिताभयाम
śrīkāmakoṭīśvaraśaṅkarābhyāṃ namaḥ suvidrakŚaṇadīkŚitābhyām
I bow to the Lord of the Kankoti, the embodiment of Shankara, who dispels all fears.
िति शरीगुरुछरणदासः सामबदीकŚितशरमा हरितः - शरीकŚेत्रगोकरणम
iti śrīgurucharaṇadāsaḥ sāmbadīkŚitaśarmā haritaḥ - śrīkŚetragokarṇam
Thus speaks the servant of the Guru, seeking refuge in the sacred field of knowledge.
शरीगणेशाय नमः

Om, I bow to the revered Lord Ganesha.
वाङमुखम - मातरं पितरं नतवा लकŚमीं दामोदरं तथा
vāṅmukham - mātaraṃ pitaraṃ natvā lakŚmīṃ dāmodaraṃ tathā
With my speech, I bow to the Mother, the Father, to Lakshmi, to Damodara.
पूरवैः सदेडितं छागनिं गुरुं गणपतिं विभुम
pūrvaiḥ sadeḍitaṃ chāgniṃ guruṃ gaṇapatiṃ vibhum
With offerings from the East, I honor the Guru, Ganapati, the Lord of all.
गनेरनामससराणां सङगरहं वेदतो मया
agnernāmasasrāṇāṃ saṅgrahaṃ vedato mayā
By the names of the divine assembly, I am gathered, as known through the Vedas.
ुदधृ^ितय करियते भकतया छित्रभानुपरतुŚटये
uddhṛ^itya kriyate bhaktyā chitrabhānupratuŚṭaye
With devotion, I hold the sacred thread, seeking the light of the sun.
त्र परमाणमृ^िगवेदे शुनःशेपो वसुशछ तौ
atra pramāṇamṛ^igvede śunaḥśepo vasuścha tau
In the three realms, the essence of the Vedas, like the dog Shunahshepa, I bow.
यदाहतुरमनत्रवरणैरमरता, गनेरवयम, िति
yadāhaturmantravarṇairmartā, agnervayam, iti
As the divine speaks, may we be blessed, in the assembly of the divine.
काणवोवसुः मरता म'रतयसय ते` भूरि`नाम' मनामहे
kāṇvovasuḥ martā ama'rtyasya te` bhūri`nāma' manāmahe
O Lord of the Earth, we sing your praises, for you are the one who grants us life, the essence of all names, we honor you.
विपरा'सो जा`तवे'दसः
viprā'so jā`tave'dasaḥ
You, who are the embodiment of the Vedas, the supreme knowledge, we bow to your divine wisdom.
ाजीगरतिः शुनःशेपः - `गनेरव`यं पर'थ`मसया`मृ^िता'नां` मना'महे` छारु'दे`वसय` नाम'
ājīgartiḥ śunaḥśepaḥ - a`gnerva`yaṃ pra'tha`masyā`mṛ^itā'nāṃ` manā'mahe` chāru'de`vasya` nāma'
O Shunahshepa, the one who is revered, we celebrate your glorious name, the first among the immortal beings.
स नो' म`हया दि'तये` मुन'रदात पि`तरं' छ दृ^ि`शेयं' मा`तरं' छ
sa no' ma`hyā adi'taye` muna'rdāt pi`taraṃ' cha dṛ^i`śeyaṃ' mā`taraṃ' cha
May we receive the blessings of the great sages, may we see our forefathers and our mothers with clarity.
सय नामनां सहसरसय ृ^िŚिः शरीबरहमणसपतिः
asya nāmnāṃ sahasrasya ṛ^iŚiḥ śrībrahmaṇaspatiḥ
O Lord of the sacred names, the essence of all beings, we invoke your presence in our hearts.
सरवमनत्रपरभुः साकŚादगनिरेव हि देवता
sarvamantraprabhuḥ sākŚādagnireva hi devatā
You are the supreme ruler of all, the direct embodiment of Agni, the divine fire.
नुŚटुप त्रिŚटुप शकवरयशCहनदांसि सुमहनति छ
anuŚṭup triŚṭup śakvaryaśChandāṃsi sumahanti cha
In the sacred verses, we find strength, may our devotion be immense and unwavering.
धरमारथकाममोकŚारथं विनियोगो जपादिपु
dharmārthakāmamokŚārthaṃ viniyogo japādipu
With righteousness, desire, and liberation, we dedicate our offerings to you, O Lord.
धयानं छतवारि शृ^िङगेति वामदेवरŚि दरशनम
dhyānaṃ chatvāri śṛ^iṅgeti vāmadevarŚi darśanam
In meditation, we find the sacred sound, the essence of Vamadeva, the seer of truth.
ागनेयं दैवतं त्रिŚटुप Cहनदो जापये हि युजयते
āgneyaṃ daivataṃ triŚṭup Chando jāpye hi yujyate
O Agni, the divine one, we chant your name, uniting our hearts in devotion.
ों छतवारि`शृ^िङगा` त्रयो' सय` पादा` दवे शी`रŚे स`पत हसता'सो सय
oṃ chatvāri`śṛ^iṅgā` trayo' asya` pādā` dve śī`rŚe sa`pta hastā'so asya
Om, with the sacred sound, we honor the three-footed one, who brings forth abundance and joy.
त्रिधा' बदधो वृ^ि'Ś`भो रो'रवीति म`हे दे`वो म'रतया`ावि'वेश
tridhā' baddho vṛ^i'Śa`bho ro'ravīti ma`he de`vo ma'rtyā`āvi'veśa
Bound by three, the great Lord enters our lives, the one who brings forth life and vitality.

ों गनिरवसुपतिरहोता दीदिवी रतनधातमः
oṃ agnirvasupatirhotā dīdivī ratnadhātamaḥ
Om, to the Lord of the Fire, the great deity, we offer our devotion.
ाधरसाछितपिता जातः शीरŚतः सुकरतुरयुवा
ādhrasāchitpitā jātaḥ śīrŚataḥ sukraturyuvā
Born of the sacred essence, you shine brightly, O youthful one, the embodiment of purity.
वर ाधरसयछितपिता भासाकेतुरबृ^िहतकेतुरबृ^िहदरछाः कविकरतुः
var ādhrasyachitpitā bhāsāketurbṛ^ihatketurbṛ^ihadarchāḥ kavikratuḥ
O radiant one, the father of the divine, you are the source of all creativity and wisdom.
सतयः सतययजो दूतो विशववेदा पसतमः
satyaḥ satyayajo dūto viśvavedā apastamaḥ
You are the messenger of truth, the one who embodies the vast knowledge of the Vedas.
सवे दमे वरधमानो.रहनतनूकृ^िनमृ^िॢयततमः
sve dame vardhamāno.arhantanūkṛ^inmṛ^iḷayattamaḥ
In every offering, may we find the essence of the divine, the ultimate truth that guides us.
कŚेमो गुहाछरननाभिः पृ^िथिवयाः सपतमानुŚः
kŚemo guhācharannābhiḥ pṛ^ithivyāḥ saptamānuŚaḥ
O Guardian of the Earth, with the thousand names, may you bring us prosperity, as you traverse the realms with grace.
दरेः सूनुरनराशंसो बरहिः सवरणर ीॢितः
adreḥ sūnurnarāśaṃso barhiḥ svarṇara īḷitaḥ
Son of the Earth, a noble being, may you bless us with strength and valor, as you shine with the brilliance of the sun.
पावको रेरिहतकŚामा घृ^ितपृ^िŚठो वनसपतिः
pāvako rerihatkŚāmā ghṛ^itapṛ^iŚṭho vanaspatiḥ
O Purifier, who dwells in the sacred fire, may you bless our offerings, as the forest yields its bounty.
सुजिहवो यज्ञनीरुकŚनसतयमनमा सुमदरथः
sujihvo yajñanīrukŚansatyamanmā sumadrathaḥ
With a heart full of devotion, may our sacrifices reach you, O Lord of the Yajna, as we ride upon the chariot of righteousness.
समुदरः सुतयजो मित्रो मियेधयो नृ^िमणो.रयमा
samudraḥ sutyajo mitro miyedhyo nṛ^imaṇo.aryamā
O Ocean of Auspiciousness, may your waves of friendship embrace us, as we seek refuge in your divine presence.
पूरवयशछित्ररथः सपारहः सुपरथाः सहसोयहुः
pūrvyaśchitrarathaḥ spārhaḥ suprathāḥ sahasoyahuḥ
O Charioteer of the past, may your path be adorned with glory, as you guide us through the trials of life.
यजवा विमानो रजसा रकŚोहा.थरयुरधरिगुः
yajvā vimāno rajasā rakŚohā.atharyuradhriguḥ
O Divine One, may your celestial chariot soar high, as we offer our prayers with the smoke of our sacrifices.
सहनयो यज्ञियो धूमकेतुरवाजो.ङगिरसतमः
sahanyo yajñiyo dhūmaketurvājo.aṅgirastamaḥ
O Yajna, shining like the comet in the sky, may your blessings be abundant, as we gather in your name.
पुरुछनदरो वपूरेवदनिमानो विछरŚणिः
puruchandro vapūrevadanimāno vicharŚaṇiḥ
O Lord with the radiant form, may your face shine upon us, as we seek your grace in every endeavor.
दविमाता मेधिरो देवो देवानां शनतमो वसुः
dvimātā medhiro devo devānāṃ śantamo vasuḥ
O Mother of Wisdom, may you bestow upon us the wealth of knowledge, as we honor the divine in all beings.
छोदिŚठो वृ^िŚभशछारूः पुरोगाः पुŚटिवरधनः
chodiŚṭho vṛ^iŚabhaśchārūḥ purogāḥ puŚṭivardhanaḥ
O Guardian of the Sacred, may your presence guide us, as we tread the path of righteousness with devotion.
रायोधरता मनदरजिहवः कलयाणो वसुविततमः
rāyodhartā mandrajihvaḥ kalyāṇo vasuvittamaḥ
O Auspicious One, may your blessings fill our hearts with joy, as we seek the highest good for all.
जामिः पूŚा वावशानो वरतपा सतृ^ितो.नतरः
jāmiḥ pūŚā vāvaśāno vratapā astṛ^ito.antaraḥ
O Lord of the Offerings, may our devotion be unwavering, as we strive for the ultimate truth.
सममिशलो.ङगिरसां जयेŚठो गवां त्राता महिवरतः
sammiślo.aṅgirasāṃ jyeŚṭho gavāṃ trātā mahivrataḥ
O Protector of the Universe, may your strength shield us, as we navigate the challenges of existence.
विशां दूतसतपुरमूरधा सवधवरो देववीतमः
viśāṃ dūtastapurmūrdhā svadhvaro devavītamaḥ
O Messenger of the Divine, may your presence bring peace, as we gather in unity and harmony.
परतनो धनसपृ^िदविता तपुरजममो महागयः
pratno dhanaspṛ^idavitā tapurjammo mahāgayaḥ
O Source of Abundance, may your blessings flow like a river, as we honor the sacred with our offerings.
रुŚो.तिथिरसयदमसदवा दकŚपतिः सहः
aruŚo.atithirasyadmasadvā dakŚapatiḥ sahaḥ
O Lord of the Night, may your light dispel the darkness, as we seek your guidance in our lives.
तुविŚमाञCहवसासूनुः सवधावा जयोतिरपसुजाः
tuviŚmāñChavasāsūnuḥ svadhāvā jyotirapsujāḥ
O Radiant One, may your brilliance illuminate our path, as we strive for victory in our endeavors.
धवराणां रथी शरेŚठः सवाहुतो वातछोदितः
adhvarāṇāṃ rathī śreŚṭhaḥ svāhuto vātachoditaḥ
O Charioteer of the Brave, may your strength empower us, as we ride forth with courage and determination.
धरणसिरभोजनसत्राता मधुजिहवो मनुरहितः
dharṇasirbhojanastrātā madhujihvo manurhitaḥ
O Sustainer of the Earth, may your grace nourish us, as we seek the sweetness of life in every moment.
नमसय ृ^िगमियो जीरः परछेताः परभुराशरितः
namasya ṛ^igmiyo jīraḥ prachetāḥ prabhurāśritaḥ
Salutations to the one who is the essence of the Vedas, the ancient seer, the supreme lord of all, the one who transcends all boundaries.
रोहिदशवः सुपरणीतिः सवराडगृ^ितसः सुदीदितिः
rohidaśvaḥ supraṇītiḥ svarāḍgṛ^itsaḥ sudīditiḥ
He who is red like the dawn, who is the embodiment of virtue, the lord of all beings, and the one who shines with brilliance.
दकŚो विवसवतो दूतो बृ^िहदभा रयिवान रयिः
dakŚo vivasvato dūto bṛ^ihadbhā rayivān rayiḥ
He who is the messenger of the sun, the vast one, the radiant lord of wealth, the one who grants prosperity.
धवराणां पतिः समराड घृ^िŚविरदासवदविशां परियः
adhvarāṇāṃ patiḥ samrāḍ ghṛ^iŚvirdāsvadviśāṃ priyaḥ
The lord of the righteous, the king of the battlefield, the one who bestows strength and valor, the beloved of the divine.
घृ^ितसनुरदितिः सवरवाञCहरुतकरणो नृ^ितमो यमः
ghṛ^itasnuraditiḥ svarvāñChrutkarṇo nṛ^itamo yamaḥ
He who is the protector of the righteous, the one who commands the dance of life, the lord of death, the ultimate judge.
ङगिराः सहसःसूनुरवसूनामरतिः करतुः
aṅgirāḥ sahasaḥsūnurvasūnāmaratiḥ kratuḥ
He who is the son of the mountains, the beloved of the earth, the one who brings forth creation.
सपतहोता केवलो.पयो विभावा मघवा धुनिः
saptahotā kevalo.apyo vibhāvā maghavā dhuniḥ
The sole sustainer of the universe, the one who nourishes all beings, the lord of abundance and prosperity.
समिधानः परतरणः पृ^िकŚसतमसि तसथिवान
samidhānaḥ prataraṇaḥ pṛ^ikŚastamasi tasthivān
The one who governs the cosmos, the protector of the righteous, the one who dispels darkness and grants liberation.
वैशवानरो दिवोमूरधा रोदसयोररतिः परियः
vaiśvānaro divomūrdhā rodasyoraratiḥ priyaḥ
The universal being, the one who pervades the heavens, the beloved of the earth and the sky.
यज्ञानां नाभिरत्रिः सतसिनधूनाञजामिराहुतः
yajñānāṃ nābhiratriḥ satsindhūnāñjāmirāhutaḥ
In the heart of all sacrifices, he is the essence, the eternal offering, the one who is invoked with devotion.
मातरिशवा वसुधितिरवेधा ूरधवसतवो हितः
mātariśvā vasudhitirvedhā ūrdhvastavo hitaḥ
The wind that carries life, the earth that sustains all, the one who is the essence of all that is auspicious.
शवी भूरणिरिनो वामो जनीनां पतिरनतमः
aśvī bhūrṇirino vāmo janīnāṃ patirantamaḥ
The lord of the brave, the protector of the humble, the one who is the source of all beings.
पायुरमरतेŚु मित्रो.रयः शरुŚटिः साधुरहिरृ^िभुः
pāyurmarteŚu mitro.aryaḥ śruŚṭiḥ sādhurahirṛ^ibhuḥ
He who is the friend of the immortal, the lord of wealth, the one who grants success to the righteous.
भदरो.जुरयो हवयदातिशछिकितवानविशवशुकपृ^िणन
bhadro.ajuryo havyadātiśchikitvānviśvaśukpṛ^iṇan
The auspicious one, the giver of offerings, the one who is wise and all-knowing, the lord of the universe.
शंसः सणज्ञातरूपो.पाङगरभसतुविशरवसतमः
śaṃsaḥ saṇjñātarūpo.apāṅgarbhastuviśravastamaḥ
He who is the embodiment of auspiciousness, the one who is adorned with glory, the lord of all beings.
गृ^िधनुःः शूरः सुछनदरो.शवो.दबधो वेधसतमः शिशुः
gṛ^idhnuḥḥ śūraḥ suchandro.aśvo.adabdho vedhastamaḥ śiśuḥ
The valiant one, the protector of the innocent, the one who is the essence of strength and valor.
वाजशरवा हरयमाण ीशानो विशवछरŚणिः
vājaśravā haryamāṇa īśāno viśvacharŚaṇiḥ
He who rides the chariot of life, the one who is the lord of all beings, the one who governs the universe.
पुरुपरशसतो वाधरयशवो.नूनवरछाः कनिकरदत
purupraśasto vādhryaśvo.anūnavarchāḥ kanikradat
The one who is the essence of all beings, the lord of the earth, the one who is the source of all prosperity.
हरिकेशो रथी मरयः सवशवो राजनतुविŚवणिः
harikeśo rathī maryaḥ svaśvo rājantuviŚvaṇiḥ
He who is adorned with the beauty of the universe, the king of all, the one who is the essence of life.
तिगमजमभः सहसराकŚसतिगमशोछिरदरुहनतरः
tigmajambhaḥ sahasrākŚastigmaśochirdruhantaraḥ
The one who is the source of all creation, the one who is the essence of the universe, the eternal truth.
ककुदुकथयो विशां गोपा मंहिŚठो भारतो मृ^िगः
kakudukthyo viśāṃ gopā maṃhiŚṭho bhārato mṛ^igaḥ
O protector of the realms, the mighty one, the fierce lion of Bharat, the embodiment of all creatures.
शतातमोरुजरया वीरशछेकितानो धृ^ितवरतः
śatātmorujrayā vīraśchekitāno dhṛ^itavrataḥ
With steadfast valor, the hero who conquers fear, he who holds the essence of courage within.
तनूरुक छेतनो.पूरवयो वयधवा छकरिरधियावसुः
tanūruk chetano.apūrvyo vyadhvā chakrirdhiyāvasuḥ
The subtle body, the conscious being, the essence of the past, the one who nourishes the universe.
शरितः सिनधुŚु विशवेŚवनेहा जयेŚठशछनोहितः
śritaḥ sindhuŚu viśveŚvanehā jyeŚṭhaśchanohitaḥ
O river of life, the ocean of existence, the one who brings forth victory and auspiciousness.
दाभयशछोद ृ^ितुपा मृ^िकतः शवससपतिः
adābhyaśchoda ṛ^itupā amṛ^iktaḥ śavasaspatiḥ
The one who dispels fear, the lord of the earth, the master of all beings, the source of strength.
गुहासदवीरुधां गरभः सुमेधाः शुŚमिणसपतिः
guhāsadvīrudhāṃ garbhaḥ sumedhāḥ śuŚmiṇaspatiḥ
O guardian of the brave, the womb of wisdom, the essence of purity, the lord of all that is auspicious.
सृ^िपरदानुः कवितमः शवितानो यज्ञसाधनः
sṛ^ipradānuḥ kavitamaḥ śvitāno yajñasādhanaḥ
The giver of creation, the poet of the divine, the one who fulfills the sacred rites.
तुविदयुमनो.रुणसतूपो विशवविदगातुविततमः
tuvidyumno.aruṇastūpo viśvavidgātuvittamaḥ
O master of the mind, the one who transcends all, the essence of knowledge and the light of the universe.
शरुŚटीवाञCहरेणिदनदाता पृ^िथुपाजाः सहसकृ^ितः
śruŚṭīvāñChreṇidandātā pṛ^ithupājāḥ sahaskṛ^itaḥ
With the power of the sacred, the giver of life, the one who sustains the earth, the source of all creation.
भिशरीः सतयवाकतवेŚो मात्रोः पुत्रो महिनतमः
abhiśrīḥ satyavāktveŚo mātroḥ putro mahintamaḥ
O son of the divine, the one who speaks the truth, the embodiment of compassion and strength.
घृ^ितयोनिरदिदृ^िकŚेयो विशवदेवयो हिरणमयः
ghṛ^itayonirdidṛ^ikŚeyo viśvadevyo hiraṇmayaḥ
Born of the sacred womb, the one who shines with golden light, the essence of all deities.
वर हिरणययः नुŚतयः कृ^िŚणजंहाः शतनीथो.परतिŚकुतः
var hiraṇyayaḥ anuŚatyaḥ kṛ^iŚṇajaṃhāḥ śatanītho.apratiŚkutaḥ
O golden one, the embodiment of all virtues, the one who conquers darkness with a hundred rays.
िॢायाः पुत्र ीॢेनयो विछेता वाघतामुशिक
iḷāyāḥ putra īḷenyo vichetā vāghatāmuśik
The son of the sacred, the one who brings forth abundance, the master of all creatures.
वीतो.रको मानुŚो.जसरो विपरः शरोतोरविया वृ^िŚः

यज्ञसय विदवानवयथयो दुरवरतुरभूरजयननपात

राजा रयीणां निŚततो धूरŚदरूकŚो धरुवो हरिः

धरमो दविजनमा सुतुकः शुशुकवाञजार ुकŚितः

पुर ेता सतयतर ृ^ितावा देववाहनः

बहुनामवमो.भिदयुरभानुरमित्रमहो भगः

शोछिŚकेशो धृ^िŚदवरणः सुजातः पुरुछेतनः
śochiŚkeśo dhṛ^iŚadvarṇaḥ sujātaḥ puruchetanaḥ
With beautiful hair, you are the one who holds the essence of truth, the great mind among all.
विशवशरुŚटिरविशववरय ायजिŚठः सदानवः
viśvaśruŚṭirviśvavarya āyajiŚṭhaḥ sadānavaḥ
You are the one who transcends all dualities, the eternal protector of the righteous.
नेता कŚितीनां दैवीनां विशवादः पुरुशोभनः
netā kŚitīnāṃ daivīnāṃ viśvādaḥ puruśobhanaḥ
You are the leader among the divine, the one who brings prosperity to all beings.
यज्ञवनयुरवहनितमो रंसुजिहवो गुहाहितः
yajñavanyurvahnitamo raṃsujihvo guhāhitaḥ
You are the sacred fire, the one who carries the essence of all offerings, the protector of the hidden.
त्रिŚधसथो विशवधाया होत्राविदविशवदरशतः
triŚadhastho viśvadhāyā hotrāvidviśvadarśataḥ
You are the one who dwells in the three realms, the knower of all sacrifices, the seer of the unseen.
छित्रराधाः सूनृ^ितावान सदयोजातः परिŚकृ^ितः
chitrarādhāḥ sūnṛ^itāvān sadyojātaḥ pariŚkṛ^itaḥ
With vibrant hues, the radiant one, born of compassion, is adorned with grace.
छित्रकŚत्रो वृ^िदधशोछिरवनिŚटो बरहमणसपतिः
chitrakŚatro vṛ^iddhaśochirvaniŚṭo brahmaṇaspatiḥ
The illustrious warrior, the protector of the earth, is the lord of the sacred, the divine.
बभरिः परसपा ुŚसामिघानः सासहिः सदृ^िक
babhriḥ paraspā uŚasāmighānaḥ sāsahiḥ sadṛ^ik
He who bears the burden of the world, the one who brings forth joy, is the essence of unity.
वाजी परशंसयो मधुपृ^िक छिकित्रो नकŚयः सुदकŚो.दृ^िपितो वसिŚठः
vājī praśaṃsyo madhupṛ^ik chikitro nakŚyaḥ sudakŚo.adṛ^ipito vasiŚṭhaḥ
The swift one, praised by all, is the sweet nectar of life, the embodiment of strength and vision.
दिवयो जुŚाणो रघुयतपरयजयुः दुरयः सुराधाः परयतो.परमृ^िŚयः
divyo juŚāṇo raghuyatprayajyuḥ duryaḥ surādhāḥ prayato.apramṛ^iŚyaḥ
The divine one, the conqueror of foes, is the essence of righteousness, the supreme truth.
वातोपधूतो महिनादृ^िशेनयः शरीणामुदारो धरुणो रयीणाम
vātopadhūto mahinādṛ^iśenyaḥ śrīṇāmudāro dharuṇo rayīṇām
Purified by the winds, he is the great seer, the noble one, the sustainer of wealth.
वसयो विदानो दिविजः पनिŚठो दमयः परिजमा सुहवो विरूपः
vasyo vidāno divijaḥ paniŚṭho damyaḥ parijmā suhavo virūpaḥ
The wise among the celestial beings, he is the embodiment of peace, the form of beauty.
जामिरजनानां विŚितो वपुŚयः शुकरेभिरङगैरज ाततनवान
jāmirjanānāṃ viŚito vapuŚyaḥ śukrebhiraṅgairaja ātatanvān
He who is adorned with the grace of the swans, is the essence of life, the source of all creation.
धरुगवरूथयः सुदृ^िशीकरूपः बरहमा विविदवाञछिकितुरविभानुः
adhrugvarūthyaḥ sudṛ^iśīkarūpaḥ brahmā vividvāñchikiturvibhānuḥ
The mighty one, with a form of radiant beauty, is the lord of all desires, the sun of wisdom.
वर दरुहवरूथयः धरणि रविधरता विविछिः सवनीको यहवः परकेतो वृ^िŚणशछकानः
var adruhvarūthyaḥ dharṇi rvidhartā vivichiḥ svanīko yahvaḥ praketo vṛ^iŚaṇaśchakānaḥ
The revered one, the bearer of the earth, is the essence of all beings, the protector of the universe.
जुŚटो मनोता परमतिरविहायाः जेनयो हविŚकृ^ित पितुमाञCहविŚठः
juŚṭo manotā pramatirvihāyāḥ jenyo haviŚkṛ^it pitumāñChaviŚṭhaḥ
With the mind focused on the supreme, he offers the sacred oblations to the divine.
मतिः सुपित्रयः सहसीदृ^िशानः शुछिपरतीको विŚुणो मितदरुः
matiḥ supitryaḥ sahasīdṛ^iśānaḥ śuchipratīko viŚuṇo mitadruḥ
The wise one, with a pure heart, is the essence of virtue, the embodiment of truth.
दविदयुतदवाजपतिरविजावा विशवसय नाभिः सनृ^िजःसुवृ^िकतिः
davidyutadvājapatirvijāvā viśvasya nābhiḥ sanṛ^ijaḥsuvṛ^iktiḥ
He who shines with the brilliance of lightning, is the lord of the universe, the sustainer of all.
तिगमः सुदंसा हरितसतमोहा जेता जनानां ततुरिरवनरगुः
tigmaḥ sudaṃsā haritastamohā jetā janānāṃ taturirvanarguḥ
The conqueror of desires, he is the one who brings joy to the hearts of all beings.
परेŚठो धनरछः सुŚखो धियनधिः मनयुःपयसवानमहिŚः समानः
preŚṭho dhanarchaḥ suŚakho dhiyandhiḥ manyuḥpayasvānmahiŚaḥ samānaḥ
The supreme one, the source of happiness, is the essence of wisdom, the embodiment of peace.
सूरयो घृ^िणीवान रथयुरघृ^ितशरीः भराता शिमीवानभुवनसय गरभः

रुशदवसानः कृ^िपनीॢ ृ^िनधन कृ^ितवयो घृ^िताननः पुरुधपरतीकः
ruśadvasānaḥ kṛ^ipanīḷa ṛ^indhan kṛ^itvyo ghṛ^itānnaḥ purudhapratīkaḥ
He who wears the moon as a crown, the wise one, the giver of wealth, with a face that shines like the sun.
सहसरमुŚकः सुशमी त्रिमूरधा मनदरः सहसवानिŚयनतरुत्रः
sahasramuŚkaḥ suśamī trimūrdhā mandraḥ sahasvāniŚayantarutraḥ
The thousand-eyed one, a splendid tree of life, the bearer of all, a source of abundant joy.
तृ^िŚुछयुतशछनदररथोभुरणयुः धासिः सुवेदः समिधा समिदधः
tṛ^iŚuchyutaśchandrarathobhuraṇyuḥ dhāsiḥ suvedaḥ samidhā samiddhaḥ
With the strength of a thousand steeds, he rides the chariot of the sun, a master of the sacred fire.
हिरणयवरणः शमिता सुदत्रः यज्ञसय नेता सुधितः सुशोकः
hiraṇyavarṇaḥ śamitā sudatraḥ yajñasya netā sudhitaḥ suśokaḥ
The golden-hued one, a calm and gentle guide, the leader of sacrifices, bestowing bliss.
कविपरशसतः परथमो.मृ^ितानां सहसरशृ^िङगो रयिविदरयीणाम
kavipraśastaḥ prathamo.amṛ^itānāṃ sahasraśṛ^iṅgo rayividrayīṇām
The poet of poets, the first among the dead, with a thousand horns, he brings forth prosperity.
बरधनो हृ^िदिसपृ^िक परदिवोदिविसपृ^िक विभवा सुबनधुः सुयजो जरदविट
bradhno hṛ^idispṛ^ik pradivodivispṛ^ik vibhvā subandhuḥ suyajo jaradviṭ
He who dwells in the heart, the essence of all, a divine light, the giver of auspiciousness.
पाकछकŚा मधुहसतय िदधो धरमसत्रिपसतयो दरविणा परतिवयः
apākachakŚā madhuhastya iddho dharmastripastyo draviṇā prativyaḥ
With the sweetness of honey, he nourishes the righteous, the protector of those who seek the truth.
पुरुŚटुतः कृ^िŚणपविः सुशिपरः पिशङगरूपः पुरुनिŚठ ेकः
puruŚṭutaḥ kṛ^iŚṇapaviḥ suśipraḥ piśaṅgarūpaḥ puruniŚṭha ekaḥ
The dark one, yet radiant, a form of golden hue, he stands firm in the eternal abode.
हिरणयदनतः सुमखः सुहवयो दसमसतपिŚठः सुसमिदध िरयः
hiraṇyadantaḥ sumakhaḥ suhavyo dasmastapiŚṭhaḥ susamiddha iryaḥ
The golden-hued one, with a pleasing visage, the master of the ten directions, a source of harmony.
सुदयुत सुयज्ञः सुमना सुरतनः सुशरीः सुसंसत सुरथः सुसनदृ^िक
sudyut suyajñaḥ sumanā suratnaḥ suśrīḥ susaṃsat surathaḥ susandṛ^ik
With a splendid form, a divine offering, he is the essence of joy, a protector of the righteous.
तनवा सुजातो वसुभिः सुजातः सुदृ^िक सुदेवः सुभरः सुबरहिः
tanvā sujāto vasubhiḥ sujātaḥ sudṛ^ik sudevaḥ subharaḥ subarhiḥ
Born of the divine, he is the essence of beauty, a bearer of grace, a source of all that is good.
ूरजोनपादरयिपतिः सुविदत्र ापिः करो.जिरो गृ^िहपतिः पुरुवारपुŚटिः
ūrjonapādrayipatiḥ suvidatra āpiḥ akro.ajiro gṛ^ihapatiḥ puruvārapuŚṭiḥ
The lord of the household, the master of the home, he who brings prosperity, the guardian of the realm.
विदयुदरथः सुसनिता छतुरकŚ िŚटिः दीदयान िनदुरुरुकृ^िदधृ^ितकेश ाशुः
vidyudrathaḥ susanitā chaturakŚa iŚṭiḥ dīdyāna indururukṛ^iddhṛ^itakeśa āśuḥ
The charioteer of lightning, with a radiant form, he is the essence of wisdom, the keeper of the sacred.
ितयगनिसहसरनामसतोत्रं समपूरणम
ityagnisahasranāmastotraṃ sampūrṇam
This stotra of a thousand names of the fire god is complete and fulfilled.
नतिम वाक - नामनां सहसरजापेन परीतः शरीहवयवाहनः
antima vāk - nāmnāṃ sahasrajāpena prītaḥ śrīhavyavāhanaḥ
With devotion, I bow to the one who rides the chariot of the body, revered through a thousand recitations.
छतुरणां पुरुŚारथानां दाता भवतु मे परभुः
chaturṇāṃ puruŚārthānāṃ dātā bhavatu me prabhuḥ
May the lord, the giver of strength to the four-legged, bestow his grace upon me.
नात्र नामनां पौनरुकतयं न छकारादिपूरणम
nātra nāmnāṃ paunaruktyaṃ na chakārādipūraṇam
Here, in this sacred name, there is no return, nor is there any lack of fulfillment.
शलोकानां शतकेनैव सहसरं गरथितं तविदम
ślokānāṃ śatakenaiva sahasraṃ grathitaṃ tvidam
With a hundred verses, this thousand-named hymn is composed, a treasure of devotion.
शलोकाशछतुरशीतिः सयुरादितसता नुŚटुभः
ślokāśchaturaśītiḥ syurāditastā anuŚṭubhaḥ
In the sacred chant of a hundred and thirty-two verses, the essence of the divine is revealed.
ततः पञछदश त्रिŚटुबिनदरवजरोपजातिभिः
tataḥ pañchadaśa triŚṭubindravajropajātibhiḥ
Then, through the fifteenfold triad, the celestial beings are invoked with reverence.
ेकानतया शककरी साहि वसनततिलका मता
ekāntyā śakkarī sāhi vasantatilakā matā
With a single intention, the devotee, adorned with the sacred thread, is blessed.
सारधैकादशकैः शलोकैरनामनामŚटोततरं शतम
sārdhaikādaśakaiḥ ślokairnāmnāmaŚṭottaraṃ śatam
Through the eleven verses, the names of the Lord are sung, a hundredfold in devotion.
सङगृ^िहीतानि वेदाबधेरगनेरेव महीयसः

Gathered are the Vedic hymns, bound by the celestial beings, exalted in their glory.

In the beginning, the sacred syllable Om is chanted, the names of the divine unfold.
नमो.नतानि परयोजयानि विनियोगे मनीŚिभिः
namo.antāni prayojyāni viniyoge manīŚibhiḥ
Salutations to the names that lead to liberation, invoked by the wise in their offerings.
वैदिकततवाछछ सरवेŚां नामनामनते परदरशितम
vaidikattvāchcha sarveŚāṃ nāmnāmante pradarśitam
Indeed, in all the names of the divine, the essence of the Vedas is revealed to the seeker.
सौकरयाय हि सरवेŚां छतुरथयनतं मुदे मया
saukaryāya hi sarveŚāṃ chaturthyantaṃ mude mayā
With joy, I embrace all the divine names, the fourfold essence of the sacred.
नामनां विशेŚज्ञानारथं मनत्राङकशछ परदरशितः
nāmnāṃ viśeŚajñānārthaṃ mantrāṅkaścha pradarśitaḥ
For the knowledge of the names is profound, a mantra that reveals the essence of the divine.

by my uttering of the 1000 names of god ḥavyavahana (āgni), let ḥim be pleased and be the provider of the four puruśarthas (ḍharma, ārtha, kama and ṃokśa), to me. 1 (can be considered as phalaśruti) ṭhere is no repetition of names no fillers like cha. ṭhese 1000 names have been made out by the 100 verses. 2 ṭhe first 84 verses are in ānuŚṭup chchandas. ṇext 15 verses are in ṭriŚṭup, indravajrā, upajāti metres. 3 ṭhis verse also relates to metre in the first line. īn the 2nd line – vith 10-1/2 verses, it makes out 108 names. 4 ṭhe names of the great (āgni) have been taken from the ocean of vedas. (For the purpose of ṇamavali) `om' to be added before each name ending in Chaturthi vibhakti. 5 and namaḥ to be added at the end, vhich is applied by scholars, folloved by daṇḍa. 6 For the convenience of all, the names ending in Chaturthi vibhakti for the purpose of specific information,the number of the mantra has been śovn (unclear, possibly verse numbers).
Thus, I offer a thousand names of Agni, the divine fire, for the fulfillment of all desires.
