बृ^िहसपतिरुवाछ
bṛ^ihaspatiruvācha
Brihaspati speaks thus,
तवमगने सरवदेवानां मुखं तवमसि हवयवाट
tvamagne sarvadevānāṃ mukhaṃ tvamasi havyavāṭ
O Agni, you are the face of all the Devas, you are the sacred channel of our offerings.
तवमनतः सरवभूतानां गूढशछरसि साकŚिवत
tvamantaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ gūḍhaścharasi sākŚivat
You are the essence hidden within all beings, the eternal flame that illuminates the universe.
तवामाहुरेकं कवयसतवामाहुसत्रिविधं पुनः
tvāmāhurekaṃ kavayastvāmāhustrividhaṃ punaḥ
The seers proclaim you as the one, and again they call you the threefold essence.
तवया तयकतं जगछछेदं सदयो नशयेदधुताशन
tvayā tyaktaṃ jagachchedaṃ sadyo naśyeddhutāśana
By your grace, may the world be freed from all afflictions, may your benevolent fire consume our sorrows.
कृ^ितवा तुभयं नमो विपराः सवकरमविजितां गतिम
kṛ^itvā tubhyaṃ namo viprāḥ svakarmavijitāṃ gatim
Salutations to you, O supreme one, who conquers all actions and leads us to liberation.
गछCहनति सह पतनीभिः सुतैरपि छ शाशवतीम
gachChanti saha patnībhiḥ sutairapi cha śāśvatīm
You, accompanied by your consorts and children, bestow eternal blessings.
तवमेवागने हवयवाहसतवमेव परमं हविः
tvamevāgne havyavāhastvameva paramaṃ haviḥ
You alone, O Agni, are the supreme offering, the essence of all sacrifices.
यजनति सत्रैसतवामेव यज्ञैशछ परमाधवरे
yajanti satraistvāmeva yajñaiścha paramādhvare
He who worships you with sacred rites, indeed, attains the highest bliss.
सृ^िŚटवा लोकांसत्रीनिमानहवयवाह परापते काले पछसि पुनः समिदधः
sṛ^iŚṭvā lokāṃstrīnimānhavyavāha prāpte kāle pachasi punaḥ samiddhaḥ
Having created the worlds, you are the eternal fire that consumes the offerings at the destined time.
सरवसयासय भुवनसय परसूतिसतवमेवागने भवसि पुनः परतिŚठा
sarvasyāsya bhuvanasya prasūtistvamevāgne bhavasi punaḥ pratiŚṭhā
You are the essence of all existence, the source of all worlds, and through you, we find our foundation.
तवामगने जलदानाहुरविदयुतशछ तवमेव हि
tvāmagne jaladānāhurvidyutaścha tvameva hi
O Agni, they say that the gift of water is yours; indeed, you are the very essence of life.
दहनति सरवभूतानि तवततो निŚकरमय हायनाः
dahanti sarvabhūtāni tvatto niŚkramya hāyanāḥ
You burn away all beings, yet you are the refuge from which they emerge.
तवययापो निहिताः सरवासतवयि सरवमिदं जगत
tvayyāpo nihitāḥ sarvāstvayi sarvamidaṃ jagat
In you, O Agni, all waters are contained; indeed, all this universe is within you.
न ते.सतयविदितं किञछितत्रिŚु लोकेŚु पावक
na te.astyaviditaṃ kiñchittriŚu lokeŚu pāvaka
Nothing in this world is unknown to you, O Fire, you are the purifier.
सवयोनिं भजते सरवो विशसवापो.विशङकितः
svayoniṃ bhajate sarvo viśasvāpo.aviśaṅkitaḥ
All beings worship you, O Fire, with unwavering faith and devotion.
हं तवां वरधयिŚयामि बराहमैरमनत्रैः सनातनैः
ahaṃ tvāṃ vardhayiŚyāmi brāhmairmantraiḥ sanātanaiḥ
I invoke you, O Agni, with eternal mantras, bestowing blessings upon us.
