नमसते देवदेवेश नमसते बलसूदन
namaste devadeveśa namaste balasūdana
Salutations to you, O Lord of Lords, Salutations to you, O Mighty One.
नमुछिघन नमसते.सतु सहसराकŚ शछीपते
namuchighna namaste.astu sahasrākŚa śachīpate
Salutations to you, O Unconquerable, Salutations to you, O Lord of the Shining Light.
सरपाणां सूरयतपतानां वारिणा तवं पलवो भव
sarpāṇāṃ sūryataptānāṃ vāriṇā tvaṃ plavo bhava
By your grace, may I be swift like the waters, O Lord of the Serpents.
तवमेव परमं त्राणमसमाकममरोततम
tvameva paramaṃ trāṇamasmākamamarottama
You alone are the ultimate refuge, the eternal shelter of the immortal.
ीशो हयसि पयः सरŚटुं तवमनलपं पुरनदर
īśo hyasi payaḥ sraŚṭuṃ tvamanalpaṃ purandara
O Lord, you are the essence of the sacred waters, the fire that purifies the world.
तवमेव मेघसतवं वायुसतवमगनिरवैदयुतो.मबरे
tvameva meghastvaṃ vāyustvamagnirvaidyuto.ambare
You are the cloud of abundance, the wind that carries the light of the heavens.
तवमभरघनविकŚेपता तवामेवाहुः पुनरघनम
tvamabhraghanavikŚeptā tvāmevāhuḥ punarghanam
You are the one who brings forth the heavy rains, they call you the source of all abundance.
तवं वजरमतुलं घोरं घोŚवांसतवं बलाहकः
tvaṃ vajramatulaṃ ghoraṃ ghoŚavāṃstvaṃ balāhakaḥ
You are the indomitable force, fierce and powerful, the essence of strength.
सरŚटा तवमेव लोकानां संहरता छापराजितः
sraŚṭā tvameva lokānāṃ saṃhartā chāparājitaḥ
You alone are the protector of all worlds, the one who conquers all adversities.
तवं जयोतिः सरवभूतानां तवमादितयो विभावसुः
tvaṃ jyotiḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ tvamādityo vibhāvasuḥ
You are the light of all beings, the radiant sun that illuminates the cosmos.
तवं महदभूतमाशछरयं तवं राजा तवं सुरोततमः
tvaṃ mahadbhūtamāścharyaṃ tvaṃ rājā tvaṃ surottamaḥ
You are the great and wondrous being, the king, the supreme among the divine.
तवं विŚणुसतवं सहसराकŚसतवं देवसतवं परायणम
tvaṃ viŚṇustvaṃ sahasrākŚastvaṃ devastvaṃ parāyaṇam
You are the essence of Vishnu, the source of all deities, the ultimate refuge.
तवं सरवममृ^ितं देव तवं सोमः परमारछितः
tvaṃ sarvamamṛ^itaṃ deva tvaṃ somaḥ paramārchitaḥ
You are the nectar of immortality, O Divine One, you are the moon of supreme bliss.
तवं मुहूरतसतिथिशछ तवं लवसतवं वै पुनः कŚणः
tvaṃ muhūrtastithiścha tvaṃ lavastvaṃ vai punaḥ kŚaṇaḥ
You are the essence of time, the moments that pass, the fleeting yet eternal.
शुकलसतवं बहुलशछैव कला काŚठा त्रुटिसतथा
śuklastvaṃ bahulaśchaiva kalā kāŚṭhā truṭistathā
You are the purity of the white, the abundance of the full moon, the essence of all arts.
संवतसररतवो मासा रजनयशछ दिनानि छ
saṃvatsarartavo māsā rajanyaścha dināni cha
You are the cycles of the years, the months, the nights, and the days.
तवमुततमा सगिरिवना वसुनधरा सभासकरं वितिमिरममबरं तथा
tvamuttamā sagirivanā vasundharā sabhāskaraṃ vitimiramambaraṃ tathā
You are the highest peak, the abode of the Vasus, the light that dispels the darkness.
महोदधिः सतिमितिमिङगिलसतथा महोरमिमानबहुमकरो झŚालयः
mahodadhiḥ satimitimiṅgilastathā mahormimānbahumakaro jhaŚālayaḥ
O great ocean, you are the source of all treasures, the vastness that holds all wonders.
महदयशसतवमिति सदाभिपूजयसे मनीŚिभिरमुदितमना महरŚिभिः
mahadyaśastvamiti sadābhipūjyase manīŚibhirmuditamanā maharŚibhiḥ
You are ever honored by the wise, who rejoice in your glory and divine presence.
भिŚटुतः पिबसि छ सोममधवरे वŚटकृ^ितानयपि छ हवींŚि भूतये
abhiŚṭutaḥ pibasi cha somamadhvare vaŚaṭkṛ^itānyapi cha havīṃŚi bhūtaye
You drink the nectar of the moon, O Lord, and bestow the offerings upon the worthy.
तवं विपरैः सततमिहेजयसे फलारथं वेदाङगेŚवतुलबलौघ गीयसे छ
tvaṃ vipraiḥ satatamihejyase phalārthaṃ vedāṅgeŚvatulabalaugha gīyase cha
You are the eternal victor, the one who grants the fruits of desires, sung in the Vedas.
तवदधेतोरयजनपरायणा दविजेनदरा वेदाङगानयभिगमयनति सरववेदैः
tvaddhetoryajanaparāyaṇā dvijendrā vedāṅgānyabhigamayanti sarvavedaiḥ
Your essence is sought by the learned, who worship you with devotion and reverence.
