Sri Krishna Krita Sri Shiva Stotram
This stotra highlights the relationship between Lord Krishna and Lord Shiva, invoking blessings for wisdom and protection.
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच –
śrīkr̥ṣṇa uvāca – praṇamya dēvyā giriśaṁ sabhaktyā svātmanyadhātmāna masauvicintya
Shri Krishna said –
प्रणम्य देव्या गिरिशं सभक्त्या
namō:'stu tē śāśvata sarvayōnē brahmādhipaṁ tvāṁ munayō vadanti
Bowing to the goddess Girisha with devotion,
स्वात्मन्यधात्मान मसौविचिन्त्य । नमोऽस्तु ते शाश्वत सर्वयोने
tvamēva sattvaṁ ca rajastamaśca tvāmēva sarvaṁ pravadanti santaḥ
I contemplate on the self within the self,
ब्रह्माधिपं त्वां मुनयो वदन्ति ॥ १ ॥
tatastvamēvāsi jagadvidhāyaka- stvamēva satyaṁ pravadanti vēdāḥ
Salutations to you, eternal source of all,
त्वमेव सत्त्वं च रजस्तमश्च
tvaṁ brahmā hariratha viśvayōniragni- ssaṁhartā dinakara maṇḍalādhivāsaḥ
The sages call you the lord of Brahma.
त्वामेव सर्वं प्रवदन्ति सन्तः । ततस्त्वमेवासि जगद्विधायक-
prāṇastvaṁ hutavaha vāsavādibhēda- stvāmēkaṁ śaraṇamupaimi dēvamīśam
You are indeed the essence of goodness, passion, and ignorance,
स्त्वमेव सत्यं प्रवदन्ति वेदाः ॥ २ ॥
sāṅkhyāstvāmaguṇamathāhurēkarūpaṁ yōgastvāṁ satatamupāsatē hr̥distham
The saints declare that you are everything.
त्वं ब्रह्मा हरिरथ विश्वयोनिरग्नि-
dēvāstvāmabhidadhatīha rudramagniṁ tvāmēkaṁ śaraṇamupaimi dēvamīśam
Therefore, you alone are the creator of the universe –
स्संहर्ता दिनकर मण्डलाधिवासः । प्राणस्त्वं हुतवह वासवादिभेद-
tvatpādē kusumamathāpi patramēkaṁ datvāsau bhavati vimukta viśvabandhaḥ
The Vedas proclaim you as the ultimate truth.
स्त्वामेकं शरणमुपैमि देवमीशम् ॥ ३ ॥
sarvāghaṁ praṇudati siddhayōgajuṣṭaṁ smr̥tvā tē padayugalaṁ bhavatprasādāt
You are Brahma, Vishnu, and the cosmic fire,
साङ्ख्यास्त्वामगुणमथाहुरेकरूपं
yasyā śēṣavibhāgahīna mamalaṁ hr̥dyantarāvasthitaṁ tattvaṁ jyōtiranantamēkamamaraṁ satyaṁ paraṁ sarvagam
The destroyer, residing in the orb of the sun.
योगस्त्वां सततमुपासते हृदिस्थम् । देवास्त्वामभिदधतीह रुद्रमग्निं
sthānaṁ prāhuranādimadhyanidhanaṁ yasmādidaṁ jāyatē nityaṁ tvāmanuyāmi satyavibhavaṁ viśvēśvaraṁ taṁ śivam
You are the breath of life, the fire that consumes,
त्वामेकं शरणमुपैमि देवमीशम् ॥ ४ ॥
ōṁ namō nīlakaṇṭhāya trinētrāya ca raṁhasē
I take refuge in you, the supreme deity.
त्वत्पादे कुसुममथापि पत्रमेकं
mahādēvāya tē nityamīśānāya namō namaḥ
The Sankhya philosophy describes you as the formless,
दत्वासौ भवति विमुक्त विश्वबन्धः । सर्वाघं प्रणुदति सिद्धयोगजुष्टं
namaḥ pinākinē tubhyaṁ namō daṇḍāya muṇḍinē
Those who practice yoga always worship you, residing in their hearts.
स्मृत्वा ते पदयुगलं भवत्प्रसादात् ॥ ५ ॥
namastē vajrahastāya digvastrāya kapardinē
The gods here worship you, Rudra and Agni,
यस्या शेषविभागहीन ममलं हृद्यन्तरावस्थितं
namō bhairavanāthāya harāya ca niṣaṅgiṇē
I take refuge in you, the supreme deity.
तत्त्वं ज्योतिरनन्तमेकममरं सत्यं परं सर्वगम् । स्थानं प्राहुरनादिमध्यनिधनं यस्मादिदं जायते
nāgayajñōpavītāya namastē vahni tējasē
Even a single flower or leaf offered at your feet,
नित्यं त्वामनुयामि सत्यविभवं विश्वेश्वरं तं शिवम् ॥ ६ ॥
namō:'stu tē girīśāya svāhākārāya tē namaḥ
Grants liberation from worldly bondage.
ओं नमो नीलकण्ठाय त्रिनेत्राय च रंहसे ।
namō muktāṭṭahāsāya bhīmāya ca namō namaḥ
It removes all sins, blessed by the yogis,
महादेवाय ते नित्यमीशानाय नमो नमः ॥ ७ ॥
namastē kāmanāśāya namaḥ kālapramāthinē
Remembering your two lotus feet, by your grace.
नमः पिनाकिने तुभ्यं नमो दण्डाय मुण्डिने ।
namō bhairavarūpāya kālarūpāya damṣṭriṇē
In my heart, devoid of the division of the remaining,
नमस्ते वज्रहस्ताय दिग्वस्त्राय कपर्दिने ॥ ८ ॥
namō:'stu tē tryambakāya namastē kr̥ttivāsanē
Is the eternal, infinite, singular light, the supreme truth, all-pervading.
नमो भैरवनाथाय हराय च निषङ्गिणे ।
namō:'mbikādhipatayē paśūnāṁ patayē namaḥ
The place from which this universe is born,
नागयज्ञोपवीताय नमस्ते वह्नि तेजसे ॥ ९ ॥
namastē vyōmarūpāya vyōmādhipatayē namaḥ
I always follow you, the embodiment of truth, the lord of all, that auspicious one.
नमोऽस्तु ते गिरीशाय स्वाहाकाराय ते नमः ।
naranārīśarīrāya sāṅkhya yōgapravartinē
Om, salutations to Neelakantha, the three-eyed one,
नमो मुक्ताट्टहासाय भीमाय च नमो नमः ॥ १० ॥
namō daivatanāthāya namō daivataliṅginē
To the great god, I bow always, the lord of all.
नमस्ते कामनाशाय नमः कालप्रमाथिने ।
kumāraguravē tubhyaṁ dēvadēvāya tē namaḥ
Salutations to you, O Pinaka-wielder,
नमो भैरवरूपाय कालरूपाय दम्ष्ट्रिणे ॥ ११ ॥
namō yajñādhipatayē namastē brahmacāriṇē
Salutations to you, O one with matted hair.
नमोऽस्तु ते त्र्यम्बकाय नमस्ते कृत्तिवासने ।
mr̥gavyādhā:'dhipatayē brahmādhipatayē namaḥ
Salutations to you, O wielder of the thunderbolt, O one clothed in the directions, O matted hair wearer.
नमोऽम्बिकाधिपतये पशूनां पतये नमः ॥ १२ ॥
namō bhavāya viśvāya mōhanāya namō namaḥ
Salutations to you, O Lord Bhairava, O Harā, who is adorned with the crescent moon.
नमस्ते व्योमरूपाय व्योमाधिपतये नमः ।
yōginē yōgagamyāya yōgamāyāya tē namaḥ
Salutations to you, O one who wears the sacred thread of the serpent sacrifice, O fire of brilliance.
नरनारीशरीराय साङ्ख्य योगप्रवर्तिने ॥ १३ ॥
namō namō namastubhyaṁ bhūyō bhūyō namō namaḥ
Salutations to you, O Lord of the mountains, I bow to you who takes the form of the sacred offering.
नमो दैवतनाथाय नमो दैवतलिङ्गिने ।
mahyaṁ sarvātmanā kāmān prayaccha paramēśvara
Salutations to you, O one with a radiant smile, O formidable one, I bow again and again.
कुमारगुरवे तुभ्यं देवदेवाय ते नमः ॥ १४ ॥
ēvaṁ hi bhaktyā dēvēśamabhiṣṭūya ca mādhavaḥ
Salutations to you, O one who destroys desires, I bow to you, O one who measures time.
नमो यज्ञाधिपतये नमस्ते ब्रह्मचारिणे ।
papāta pādayōrviprā dēvadēvasya daṇḍavat
Salutations to you, O one who takes the form of Bhairava, O one who embodies time, O one with fierce teeth.
मृगव्याधाऽधिपतये ब्रह्माधिपतये नमः ॥ १५ ॥
utthāpya bhagavān sōmaḥ kr̥ṣṇaṁ kēśiniṣūdanam
Salutations to you, O three-eyed one, I bow to you, O one who wears the skin of the earth.
नमो भवाय विश्वाय मोहनाय नमो नमः ।
babhāṣē madhuraṁ vākyaṁ mēghagaṁbhīranissvanam
Salutations to you, O Lord of the mother, I bow to you, O Lord of all creatures.
योगिने योगगम्याय योगमायाय ते नमः ॥ १६ ॥
iti śrīkūrmapurāṇē śrīkr̥ṣṇakr̥ta śivastōtram
Salutations to you, O one who takes the form of the sky, I bow to you, O Lord of the sky.
