श्री नटराज स्तोत्राणि
lōkānāhūya sarvān ḍamarukaninadairghōrasaṁsāramagnān datvābhītiṁ dayāluḥ praṇatabhayaharaṁ kuñcitaṁ vāmapādam
O Lord Nataraja, I bow to you with devotion, the one who is the refuge for all beings.
लोकानाहूय सर्वान् डमरुकनिनदैर्घोरसंसारमग्नान्
uddhr̥tyēdaṁ vimuktērayanamiti karāddarśayan pratyayārthaṁ bibhradvahniṁ sabhāyāṁ kalayati naṭanaṁ yaḥ sa pāyānnaṭēśaḥ
Calling all beings, you are the one who rescues those drowning in the terrifying ocean of worldly existence.
दत्वाभीतिं दयालुः प्रणतभयहरं कुञ्चितं वामपादम् । उद्धृत्येदं विमुक्तेरयनमिति कराद्दर्शयन् प्रत्ययार्थं
digīśādi vandyaṁ girīśānacāpaṁ murārāti bāṇaṁ puratrāsahāsam
Bestowing fearlessness, you are compassionate, and with your left foot raised, you remove the fears of those who bow to you.
बिभ्रद्वह्निं सभायां कलयति नटनं यः स पायान्नटेशः ॥ १ ॥
karīndrādi carmāmbaraṁ vēdavēdyaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
Showing your hand in the act of lifting, you signify liberation; may you protect us, O Natesha.
दिगीशादि वन्द्यं गिरीशानचापं
samastaiśca bhūtaiḥ sadā namyamādyaṁ samastaikabandhuṁ manōdūramēkam
You are worshipped by the guardians of the directions, the Lord of the mountains, and the one who wields the bow of Murari.
मुराराति बाणं पुरत्रासहासम् । करीन्द्रादि चर्माम्बरं वेदवेद्यं
apasmāranighnaṁ paraṁ nirvikāraṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
Dressed in the skin of a lion, you are the one known through the Vedas, the great Lord of the assembly, I worship Natesha.
महेशं सभेशं भजेऽहं नटेशम् ॥ २ ॥
dayāluṁ varēṇyaṁ ramānāthavandyaṁ mahānandabhūtaṁ sadānandanr̥ttam
With all beings, I always bow to the primordial one, the sole bond of all minds.
समस्तैश्च भूतैः सदा नम्यमाद्यं
sabhāmadhyavāsaṁ cidākāśarūpaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
The one who destroys forgetfulness, the supreme unchanging reality, I worship Natesha.
समस्तैकबन्धुं मनोदूरमेकम् । अपस्मारनिघ्नं परं निर्विकारं
sabhānāthamādyaṁ niśānāthabhūṣaṁ śivāvāmabhāgaṁ padāmbhōja lāsyam
The compassionate one, the most revered, the one worshipped by Rama,
महेशं सभेशं भजेऽहं नटेशम् ॥ ३ ॥
kr̥pāpāṅgavīkṣaṁ hyumāpāṅgadr̥śyaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
The embodiment of great bliss, the eternal dancer, I worship Natesha.
दयालुं वरेण्यं रमानाथवन्द्यं
divānātharātrīśavaiśvānarākṣaṁ prajānāthapūjyaṁ sadānandanr̥ttam
Residing in the assembly, you are the form of consciousness, I worship Natesha.
महानन्दभूतं सदानन्दनृत्तम् । सभामध्यवासं चिदाकाशरूपं
cidānandagātraṁ parānandasaudhaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
The one who is the Lord of the assembly, adorned with the moon,
महेशं सभेशं भजेऽहं नटेशम् ॥ ४ ॥
karēkāhalīkaṁ padēmauktikāliṁ galēkālakūṭaṁ talēsarvamantram
The left side of Shiva, the one who dances with lotus-like feet, I worship Natesha.
सभानाथमाद्यं निशानाथभूषं
mukhē mandahāsaṁ bhujē nāgarājaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
With a glance of grace, you are the one who is seen by Uma, I worship Natesha.
शिवावामभागं पदाम्भोज लास्यम् । कृपापाङ्गवीक्षं ह्युमापाङ्गदृश्यं
tvadanyaṁ śaraṇyaṁ na paśyāmi śambhō madanyaḥ prapannōsti kintētidīnaḥ
The Lord of the day and night, the protector of all beings, the eternal dancer, I worship Natesha.
महेशं सभेशं भजेऽहं नटेशम् ॥ ५ ॥
madarthēhyupēkṣā tavāsītkimarthaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
Your body is the embodiment of consciousness and bliss, the abode of supreme joy, I worship Natesha.
दिवानाथरात्रीशवैश्वानराक्षं
bhavatpādayugmaṁ karēṇāvalambē sadā nr̥ttakārin sabhāmadhyadēśē
With a garland of pearls on your feet,
प्रजानाथपूज्यं सदानन्दनृत्तम् । चिदानन्दगात्रं परानन्दसौधं
sadā bhāvayē tvāṁ tadā dāsyasīṣṭaṁ mahēśaṁ sabhēśaṁ bhajē:'haṁ naṭēśam
The poison of the world on your neck, the mantra of all on your head,
महेशं सभेशं भजेऽहं नटेशम् ॥ ६ ॥
bhūyaḥ svāmin janirmē maraṇamapi tathā māstu bhūyaḥ surāṇāṁ sāmrājyaṁ taccha tāvatsukhalavarahitaṁ duḥkhadaṁ nārthayē tvām
With a gentle smile on your face, you are the Lord of serpents, I worship Natesha.
करेकाहलीकं पदेमौक्तिकालिं
santāpaghnaṁ purārē dhuri ca tavasabhā mandirē sarvadā tva- -nnr̥ttaṁ paśyanvasēyaṁ pramathagaṇavaraiḥ sākamētadvidhēhi
I do not see another refuge besides you, O Shambhu;
गलेकालकूटं तलेसर्वमन्त्रम् । मुखे मन्दहासं भुजे नागराजं
iti śrī jñānasambandha kr̥ta śrī naṭēśvara bhujaṅga stutiḥ
There is none other who has surrendered to me, except for the helpless.
