Sri Rudra Kavacham
The Sri Rudra Kavacham is a protective hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva, designed to shield the devotee from harm and negativity.
ओं अस्य श्री रुद्र कवचस्तोत्र महामन्त्रस्य दूर्वासऋषिः अनुष्ठुप् छन्दः त्र्यम्बक रुद्रो देवता ह्रां बीजं श्रीं शक्तिः ह्रीं कीलकं मम मनसोऽभीष्टसिद्ध्यर्थे जपे विनियोगः । ह्रामित्यादि षड्बीजैः षडङ्गन्यासः ॥
ōṁ asya śrī rudra kavacastōtra mahāmantrasya dūrvāsar̥ṣiḥ anuṣṭhup chandaḥ tryambaka rudrō dēvatā hrāṁ bījaṁ śrīṁ śaktiḥ hrīṁ kīlakaṁ mama manasō:'bhīṣṭasiddhyarthē japē viniyōgaḥ
Om, this is the Rudra Kavacha Stotra, a great mantra, composed by the sage Durvasa, in the Anushtup meter, with the deity being Tryambaka Rudra. The seed syllable is Hraṁ, the power is Śrīṁ, the key is Hrīṁ, and for the fulfillment of my desires, I perform this chant.
ध्यानम् । शान्तं पद्मासनस्थं शशिधरमकुटं पञ्चवक्त्रं त्रिनेत्रं
hrāmityādi ṣaḍbījaiḥ ṣaḍaṅganyāsaḥ
With the six seed syllables, I perform the six-fold Nyasa.
शूलं वज्रं च खड्गं परशुमभयदं दक्षभागे वहन्तम् । नागं पाशं च घण्टां प्रलय हुतवहं साङ्कुशं वामभागे

Meditation:
नानालङ्कारयुक्तं स्फटिकमणिनिभं पार्वतीशं नमामि ॥
śāntaṁ padmāsanasthaṁ śaśidharamakuṭaṁ pañcavaktraṁ trinētraṁ śūlaṁ vajraṁ ca khaḍgaṁ paraśumabhayadaṁ dakṣabhāgē vahantam
I bow to the serene one, seated in the lotus posture, adorned with the crescent moon, having five faces, three eyes, wielding a trident, a thunderbolt, and a sword, bestowing fearlessness, carrying the auspicious aspects, along with the serpent, the noose, and the bell, the one who consumes the universe in dissolution, holding the conch in the left hand, embellished with various ornaments, resembling a crystal gem, I bow to the Lord of Parvati.
दूर्वास उवाच ।
nāgaṁ pāśaṁ ca ghaṇṭāṁ pralaya hutavahaṁ sāṅkuśaṁ vāmabhāgē nānālaṅkārayuktaṁ sphaṭikamaṇinibhaṁ pārvatīśaṁ namāmi
Durvasa said:
प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं स्वयम्भुं परमेश्वरम् । एकं सर्वगतं देवं सर्वदेवमयं विभुम् ॥ १ ॥
dūrvāsa uvāca
Bowing my head to the deity, the self-born, the supreme lord, the one who is all-pervading, the embodiment of all deities, I will declare the armor of Rudra for the protection of the vital energies.
रुद्र वर्म प्रवक्ष्यामि अङ्ग प्राणस्य रक्षये । अहोरात्रमयं देवं रक्षार्थं निर्मितं पुरा ॥ २ ॥
praṇamya śirasā dēvaṁ svayambhuṁ paramēśvaram
The deity, who is composed of day and night, was created for protection in ancient times.
रुद्रो मे चाग्रतः पातु पातु पार्श्वौ हरस्तथा । शिरो मे ईश्वरः पातु ललाटं नीललोहितः ॥ ३ ॥
ēkaṁ sarvagataṁ dēvaṁ sarvadēvamayaṁ vibhum
May Rudra protect me in front, may Haras protect me on the sides.
नेत्रयोस्त्र्यम्बकः पातु मुखं पातु महेश्वरः । कर्णयोः पातु मे शम्भुः नासिकायां सदाशिवः ॥ ४ ॥
rudra varma pravakṣyāmi aṅga prāṇasya rakṣayē
May the Lord protect my head, may the blue-red one protect my forehead.
वागीशः पातु मे जिह्वां ओष्ठौ पात्वम्बिकापतिः । श्रीकण्ठः पातु मे ग्रीवां बाहूंश्चैव पिनाकधृत् ॥ ५ ॥
ahōrātramayaṁ dēvaṁ rakṣārthaṁ nirmitaṁ purā
May Tryambaka protect my eyes, may the great lord protect my face.
हृदयं मे महादेवः ईश्वरोव्यात् स्तनान्तरम् । नाभिं कटिं च वक्षश्च पातु सर्वं उमापतिः ॥ ६ ॥
rudrō mē cāgrataḥ pātu pātu pārśvau harastathā
May Shambhu protect my ears, may Sadashiva protect my nose.
बाहुमध्यान्तरं चैव सूक्ष्मरूपः सदाशिवः । स्वरं रक्षतु सर्वेशो गात्राणि च यथा क्रमम् ॥ ७ ॥
śirō mē īśvaraḥ pātu lalāṭaṁ nīlalōhitaḥ
May the Lord of Speech protect my tongue, may the Lord of Ambika protect my lips.
वज्रशक्तिधरं चैव पाशाङ्कुशधरं तथा । गण्डशूलधरं नित्यं रक्षतु त्रिदशेश्वरः ॥ ८ ॥
nētrayōstryambakaḥ pātu mukhaṁ pātu mahēśvaraḥ
May Lord Śrīkaṇṭha protect my neck and my arms, which are held by the bow.
प्रस्थानेषु पदे चैव वृक्षमूले नदीतटे । सन्ध्यायां राजभवने विरूपाक्षस्तु पातु माम् ॥ ९ ॥
karṇayōḥ pātu mē śambhuḥ nāsikāyāṁ sadāśivaḥ
May Mahādeva, the Lord, protect my heart and my chest.
शीतोष्णादथ कालेषु तुहि न द्रुमकण्टके । निर्मनुष्येऽसमे मार्गे त्राहि मां वृषभध्वज ॥ १० ॥
vāgīśaḥ pātu mē jihvāṁ ōṣṭhau pātvambikāpatiḥ
May Umāpati protect my navel, waist, and chest; may He protect all.
इत्येतद्रुद्रकवचं पवित्रं पापनाशनम् । महादेवप्रसादेन दूर्वासो मुनिकल्पितम् ॥ ११ ॥
śrīkaṇṭhaḥ pātu mē grīvāṁ bāhūṁścaiva pinākadhr̥t
May Sadāśiva, in His subtle form, protect the space between my arms.
ममाख्यातं समासेन न भयं विन्दति क्वचित् । प्राप्नोति परमारोग्यं पुण्यमायुष्यवर्धनम् ॥ १२ ॥
hr̥dayaṁ mē mahādēvaḥ īśvarōvyāt stanāntaram
May the Lord of all protect my voice and all my limbs in due order.
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम् । कन्यार्थी लभते कन्यां न भयं विन्दते क्वचित् ॥ १३ ॥
nābhiṁ kaṭiṁ ca vakṣaśca pātu sarvaṁ umāpatiḥ
May He who holds the thunderbolt and the noose, and also the goad, protect me.
अपुत्रो लभते पुत्रं मोक्षार्थी मोक्षमाप्नुयात् । त्राहि त्राहि महादेव त्राहि त्राहि त्रयीमय ॥ १४ ॥
bāhumadhyāntaraṁ caiva sūkṣmarūpaḥ sadāśivaḥ
May the Lord of the three worlds, who holds the skull, always protect me.
त्राहि मां पार्वतीनाथ त्राहि मां त्रिपुरन्तक । पाशं खट्वाङ्ग दिव्यास्त्रं त्रिशूलं रुद्रमेव च ॥ १५ ॥
svaraṁ rakṣatu sarvēśō gātrāṇi ca yathā kramam
In my journeys, on paths, by the roots of trees, and on riverbanks,
नमस्करोमि देवेश त्राहि मां जगदीश्वर । शत्रुमध्ये सभामध्ये ग्राममध्ये गृहान्तरे ॥ १६ ॥
vajraśaktidharaṁ caiva pāśāṅkuśadharaṁ tathā
May Virūpākṣa protect me at dusk in the royal palace.
गमनागमने चैव त्राहि मां भक्तवत्सल । त्वं चित्तं त्वं मानसं च त्वं बुद्धिस्त्वं परायणम् ॥ १७ ॥
gaṇḍaśūladharaṁ nityaṁ rakṣatu tridaśēśvaraḥ
In times of cold and heat, may He protect me from thorny trees.
कर्मणा मनसा चैव त्वं बुद्धिश्च यथा सदा । ज्वरभयं छिन्दि सर्वज्वरभयं छिन्दि ग्रहभयं छिन्दि ॥ १८ ॥
prasthānēṣu padē caiva vr̥kṣamūlē nadītaṭē
In the human realm, on the same path, protect me, O Lord with the bull's banner.
सर्वशत्रून्निवर्त्यापि सर्वव्याधिनिवारणम् । रुद्रलोकं स गच्छति रुद्रलोकं सगच्छत्योन्नम इति ॥ १९ ॥
sandhyāyāṁ rājabhavanē virūpākṣastu pātu mām
This Rudrakavaca, pure and a destroyer of sins,
इति स्कन्दपुराणे दूर्वास प्रोक्तं श्री रुद्रकवचम् ॥
śītōṣṇādatha kālēṣu tuhi na drumakaṇṭakē
Is conceived by the sage Dūrvāsā through the grace of Mahādeva.
Bilvashtakam 2 – बिल्वाष्टकम् – 2
nirmanuṣyē:'samē mārgē trāhi māṁ vr̥ṣabhadhvaja
By its recitation, one finds no fear anywhere,
Bhishma Ashtami Tarpana Slokam – भीष्माष्टमि तर्पण श्लोकम्
ityētadrudrakavacaṁ pavitraṁ pāpanāśanam
And attains supreme health, a long life, and an increase in virtue.
Sri Rudra Kavacham – श्री रुद्र कवचम्
mahādēvaprasādēna dūrvāsō munikalpitam
The student gains knowledge, the seeker of wealth gains riches.
कृपया इसकी विधि, महात्म्य, लाभ आदि भी बताएं
mamākhyātaṁ samāsēna na bhayaṁ vindati kvacit
The suitor gains a bride, never does fear find a place.
