Sri Shanmukha Stotram
This stotra is a comprehensive hymn dedicated to Lord Murugan, celebrating his divine qualities and the blessings he bestows upon his devotees.
श्री सुब्रह्मण्य स्तोत्राणि
nāradādidēvayōgibr̥ndahr̥nnikētanaṁ barhivaryavāhaminduśēkharēṣṭanandanam
I meditate upon the six-faced one, who resides on the shores of the ocean.
नारदादिदेवयोगिबृन्दहृन्निकेतनं
bhaktalōkarōgaduḥkhapāpasaṅghabhañjanaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is the abode of the gathered divine beings, including Narada and others.
बर्हिवर्यवाहमिन्दुशेखरेष्टनन्दनम् । भक्तलोकरोगदुःखपापसङ्घभञ्जनं
tārakārīmindramukhyadēvabr̥ndavanditaṁ candracandanādi śītalāṅkamātmabhāvitam
He is the one who carries the moon and is the source of joy for the devotees.
भावयामि सिन्धुतीरवासिनं षडाननम् ॥ १ ॥
yakṣasiddhakinnarādimukhyadivyapūjitaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He destroys the sorrows and sins of the devotees of the world.
तारकारीमिन्द्रमुख्यदेवबृन्दवन्दितं
campakābjamālatīsumādimālyabhūṣitaṁ divyaṣaṭkirīṭahārakuṇḍalādyalaṅkr̥tam
I meditate upon the six-faced one, who resides on the shores of the ocean.
चन्द्रचन्दनादि शीतलाङ्कमात्मभावितम् । यक्षसिद्धकिन्नरादिमुख्यदिव्यपूजितं
kuṅkumādiyuktadivyagandhapaṅkalēpitaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is worshipped by the divine assembly led by the chief of the stars.
भावयामि सिन्धुतीरवासिनं षडाननम् ॥ २ ॥
āśritākhilēṣṭalōkarakṣaṇāmarāṅghripaṁ śaktipāṇimacyutēndrapadmasambhavādhipam
He is adorned with a cool moon-like body and is self-illuminated.
चम्पकाब्जमालतीसुमादिमाल्यभूषितं
śiṣṭalōkacintitārthasiddhidānalōlupaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is worshipped by divine beings such as Yakshas and Kinnaras.
दिव्यषट्किरीटहारकुण्डलाद्यलङ्कृतम् । कुङ्कुमादियुक्तदिव्यगन्धपङ्कलेपितं
vīrabāhu pūrvakōṭivīrasaṅghasaukhyadaṁ śūrapadmamukhyalakṣakōṭiśūramuktidam
I meditate upon the six-faced one, who resides on the shores of the ocean.
भावयामि सिन्धुतीरवासिनं षडाननम् ॥ ३ ॥
indrapūrvadēvasaṅghasiddhanityasaukhyadaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is adorned with the flowers of Champaka and Malati.
आश्रिताखिलेष्टलोकरक्षणामराङ्घ्रिपं
jambavairikāminīmanōrathābhipūrakaṁ kumbhasambhavāya sarvadharmasāradāyakam
He is decorated with divine crowns, earrings, and other ornaments.
शक्तिपाणिमच्युतेन्द्रपद्मसम्भवाधिपम् । शिष्टलोकचिन्तितार्थसिद्धिदानलोलुपं
taṁ bhavābdhipōtamambikēyamāśu siddhidaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is smeared with divine fragrances mixed with kumkuma.
भावयामि सिन्धुतीरवासिनं षडाननम् ॥ ४ ॥
pūrṇacandrabimbakōṭitulyavaktrapaṅkajaṁ varṇanīyasaccaritramiṣṭasiddhidāyakam
I meditate upon the six-faced one, who resides on the shores of the ocean.
वीरबाहु पूर्वकोटिवीरसङ्घसौख्यदं
svarṇavarṇagātramugrasiddhalōkaśikṣakaṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is the protector of all beings and the refuge of the world.
शूरपद्ममुख्यलक्षकोटिशूरमुक्तिदम् । इन्द्रपूर्वदेवसङ्घसिद्धनित्यसौख्यदं
pūrvajanmasañcitāghasaṅghabhaṅgatatparaṁ sarvadharmadānakarmapūrvapuṇyasiddhidam
He holds power and is the lord born from the lotus of the imperishable.
भावयामि सिन्धुतीरवासिनं षडाननम् ॥ ५ ॥
sarvaśatrusaṅghabhaṅgadakṣamindrajāpatiṁ bhāvayāmi sindhutīravāsinaṁ ṣaḍānanam
He is the giver of success in the desires contemplated by the wise.
जम्बवैरिकामिनीमनोरथाभिपूरकं
iti śrīmacchaṅkarabhagavataḥ kr̥tau tirucēndūr śrī ṣaṇmukha stōtram
