Sri Subrahmanya Shatkam

श्री सुब्रह्मण्य स्तोत्राणि
śaraṇāgatamāturamādhijitaṁ karuṇākara kāmada kāmahatam
O Lord, who is sweet to those who seek refuge,
शरणागतमातुरमाधिजितं
śarakānanasambhava cārurucē paripālaya tārakamāraka mām
O ocean of compassion, grant me all my desires.
करुणाकर कामद कामहतम् । शरकाननसम्भव चारुरुचे
harasārasamudbhava haimavatī- -karapallavalālita kamratanō
O beautiful one, born of the arrow of the forest,
परिपालय तारकमारक माम् ॥ १ ॥
muravairiviriñcimudambunidhē paripālaya tārakamāraka mām
Protect me, O Lord, who is the star of the stars.
हरसारसमुद्भव हैमवती-
śaradindusamānaṣaḍānanayā sarasīruhacāruvilōcanayā
O Lord, born of the mountain, who is the essence of Shiva,
-करपल्लवलालित कम्रतनो । मुरवैरिविरिञ्चिमुदम्बुनिधे
nirupādhikayā nijabālatayā paripālaya tārakamāraka mām
With a body adorned with golden ornaments,
परिपालय तारकमारक माम् ॥ २ ॥
girijāsuta sāyakabhinnagirē surasindhutanūja suvarṇarucē
O Lord, who is the source of the waters of the universe,
शरदिन्दुसमानषडाननया
śikhitōkaśikhāvalavāhana hē paripālaya tārakamāraka mām
Protect me, O Lord, who is the star of the stars.
सरसीरुहचारुविलोचनया । निरुपाधिकया निजबालतया
jaya viprajanapriya vīra namō jaya bhaktajanapriya bhadra namō
O Lord, with a face like the autumn moon,
परिपालय तारकमारक माम् ॥ ३ ॥
jaya śākha viśākha kumāra namaḥ paripālaya tārakamāraka mām
With beautiful eyes like the lotus,
गिरिजासुत सायकभिन्नगिरे
paritō bhava mē puratō bhava mē pathi mē bhagavan bhava rakṣa gatim
With an unconditioned nature, in your youthful form,
सुरसिन्धुतनूज सुवर्णरुचे । शिखितोकशिखावलवाहन हे
vitarāśu jayaṁ vijayaṁ paritaḥ paripālaya tārakamāraka mām
Protect me, O Lord, who is the star of the stars.
परिपालय तारकमारक माम् ॥ ४ ॥
iti kukkuṭakētumanusmaratāṁ paṭhatāmapi ṣaṇmukhaṣaṭkamidam
O son of Girija, who split the mountain,
जय विप्रजनप्रिय वीर नमो
bhajatāmapi nandanamindubhr̥tō na bhayaṁ kvacidasti śarīrabhr̥tām
O radiant one, born of the ocean of gods,
जय भक्तजनप्रिय भद्र नमो । जय शाख विशाख कुमार नमः
gāṅgēyaṁ vahnigarbhaṁ śaravaṇajanitaṁ jñānaśaktiṁ kumāraṁ brahmaṇyaṁ skandadēvaṁ guhamacalabhidaṁ rudratējasvarūpam
O Lord, who rides on the crest of the peacock,
परिपालय तारकमारक माम् ॥ ५ ॥
sēnānyaṁ tārakaghnaṁ gajamukhasahajaṁ kārtikēyaṁ ṣaḍāsyaṁ subrahmaṇyaṁ mayūradhvajarathasahitaṁ dēvadēvaṁ namāmi
Protect me, O Lord, who is the star of the stars.
परितो भव मे पुरतो भव मे
iti śrīsubrahmaṇyaṣaṭkam
Victory to the beloved of the wise, victory to the brave,
