She establishes righteousness by destroying the unrighteous.

Kolkata is mentioned as her special dwelling place, where her famous temple is located. Simultaneously, it states that devotees experience her everywhere, in every particle, 'sab jagah dekhun tera nazara' is the experience of her omnipresence.

हे माँ कालरात्रि, समस्त देवी-देवता और सभी नर-नारी आपकी स्तुति करते हैं। आपकी महिमा अपरंपार है और सभी आपकी पूजा-अर्चना में लीन रहते हैं। O Mother Kalratri, all gods, goddesses, and human beings sing your praises. Your glory is boundless, and everyone is engrossed in your worship and adoration.

आप रक्तदंता और अन्नपूर्णा के रूप में भी पूजी जाती हैं। यदि आपकी कृपा हो जाए, तो जीवन में किसी भी प्रकार का दुख नहीं रहता। आप भक्तों को सभी कष्टों से मुक्ति दिलाती हैं। You are also worshipped in the forms of Raktdanta and Annapurna. If your grace is bestowed, then there remains no sorrow in life. You liberate devotees from all kinds of troubles.

आपकी कृपा से भक्तों को न कोई चिंता सताती है, न कोई बीमारी परेशान करती है। जीवन में न कोई गम रहता है और न ही कोई बड़ा संकट आता है। By your grace, devotees are neither troubled by worries nor afflicted by illnesses. There is no sorrow in life, nor do any major calamities befall them.

जिस भक्त को माँ महाकाली अपनी शरण में ले लेती हैं और उसकी रक्षा करती हैं, उस पर कभी कोई कष्ट नहीं आता। माँ अपनी संतान को हर विपत्ति से बचाती हैं। The devotee whom Mother Mahakali takes under her protection and saves, never faces any suffering. The Mother protects her children from every adversity.

इसलिए, हे भक्त! तुम भी प्रेम और श्रद्धा से माँ कालरात्रि की जय-जयकार करो। उनके नाम का स्मरण करने मात्र से ही सभी भय दूर हो जाते हैं। Therefore, O devotee! You too, with love and devotion, chant victory to Mother Kalratri. Merely remembering her name dispels all fears.
