मैं करुणा के सागर, भगवान रघुपति (श्री राम) की वंदना करता हूँ। उनकी कृपा से ही भवसागर के भेद और माया का ज्ञान दूर होता है, जिससे मुक्ति का मार्ग प्रशस्त होता है। I bow down to Lord Raghupati (Shri Rama), the abode of compassion. It is through His grace that the illusions and mysteries of the material world are dispelled, paving the way for liberation.

वे रघुवंश रूपी कुमुद (कमल) को पूर्ण सुख प्रदान करने वाले हैं। ब्रह्मा और महेश जैसे देवता भी उनके चरण कमलों की सेवा करते हैं, जो उनकी परम श्रेष्ठता को दर्शाता है। He is the one who bestows complete joy upon the lotus-like Raghu dynasty. Even deities like Brahma and Mahesh serve His lotus feet, signifying His supreme eminence.

वे अपने भक्तों के हृदय रूपी कमल के लिए भ्रमर के समान हैं, जो उसमें रमण करते हैं। उनका शरीर अत्यंत सुंदर है, जिसकी सुंदरता अनगिनत कामदेवों के समान है। He is like a bumblebee to the lotus-like hearts of His devotees, always dwelling within them. His form is exquisitely beautiful, possessing the charm of countless Kamadevas (gods of love).

वे मोह रूपी घने अंधकार के लिए प्रचंड सूर्य के समान हैं, जो उसे नष्ट कर देते हैं। अज्ञान रूपी गहन वन के लिए वे प्रचंड अग्नि के समान हैं, जो उसे जलाकर भस्म कर देती है। He is like the fierce sun to the dense darkness of delusion, dispelling it completely. For the deep forest of ignorance, He is like a raging fire, burning it down to ashes.

वे अभिमान रूपी सागर को सोखने वाले अगस्त्य मुनि के समान उदार हैं। वे देवताओं को आनंदित करने वाले और पृथ्वी के भार को हरने वाले हैं, जो उनके लोक कल्याणकारी स्वरूप को दर्शाता है। He is as generous as Sage Agastya, who drank the entire ocean, here symbolizing the ocean of pride. He delights the gods and removes the burden from the Earth, showcasing His benevolent and welfare-oriented nature.

हे प्रभु राम, आप राग (आसक्ति) आदि सर्पों के लिए गरुड़ के समान हैं, अर्थात आप समस्त विकारों का नाश करने वाले हैं। आप कामदेव रूपी हाथी के लिए सिंह के समान हैं, जो काम वासनाओं को नियंत्रित करते हैं। आप मुर नामक राक्षस का वध करने वाले हैं, जिससे यह सिद्ध होता है कि आप दुष्टों का संहार करने वाले हैं। O Lord Rama, you are like Garuda to the serpents of attachment and other vices, meaning you destroy all impurities and negative tendencies. You are like a lion to the elephant of Cupid (desire), signifying your control over lust and worldly desires. You are the slayer of the demon Mura, demonstrating your power to vanquish evil.

आपके चरण कमल भवसागर से पार उतारने वाली नाव के समान हैं, जो भक्तों को जन्म-मृत्यु के चक्र से मुक्ति दिलाते हैं। हे जानकी के प्रिय पति, आप आनंद के मूल स्रोत हैं, आपके स्मरण मात्र से ही परम सुख की प्राप्ति होती है। Your lotus feet are like a boat that carries devotees across the ocean of worldly existence, liberating them from the cycle of birth and death. O beloved husband of Janaki, you are the very root of all joy and bliss; merely remembering you brings supreme happiness.

आप हनुमान जी के प्रेम रूपी सरोवर के हंस हैं, अर्थात हनुमान जी का प्रेम आपके प्रति अत्यंत गहरा और शुद्ध है। आप निष्काम भाव से कामनाओं को पूर्ण करने वाली कामधेनु गाय के समान हैं, जो बिना किसी स्वार्थ के भक्तों की इच्छाएं पूरी करते हैं। आप दयालु और गौओं के पालक हैं। You are the swan in the lake of Hanuman's love, indicating the profound and pure devotion Hanuman holds for you. You are like the wish-fulfilling cow Kamadhenu, granting desires selflessly and without expectation. You are compassionate and a protector of cows.

हे राम, आप तीनों लोकों के तिलक स्वरूप हैं, अर्थात आप तीनों लोकों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ और पूजनीय हैं। आप गुणों के सागर हैं, आपके गुण अगम्य और असीम हैं। तुलसीदास कहते हैं कि आप ही परम शांति और विश्राम का धाम हैं, आपकी शरण में ही सच्चा सुख मिलता है। O Rama, you are the auspicious mark (tilak) of the three worlds, meaning you are the most supreme and revered in all realms. You are an ocean of virtues, your qualities are profound and boundless. Tulsidas says that you are the abode of ultimate peace and rest, and true happiness is found only in your refuge.
