हे वीणा धारण करने वाली देवी सरस्वती, आपकी जय हो! आप ही समस्त ऋद्धि और सिद्धि प्रदान करने वाली हैं। आपके हाथों में सदैव ज्ञान और कला की ताल बजती रहती है, जो भक्तों को प्रेरणा देती है। Hail to the Goddess Saraswati, who holds the Veena! You are the bestower of all prosperity (Riddhi) and spiritual powers (Siddhi). The rhythm of knowledge and art constantly resonates in your hands, inspiring all devotees.
ऋषि मुनियों की बुद्धि को, शुद्ध तू ही करती स्वर्ण की भाँति शुद्ध, तू ही माँ करती॥ 1 ॥ ज्ञान पिता को देती,
ṛṣi muniyoṁ kī buddhi ko, śuddha tū hī karatī svarṇa kī bhām̐ti śuddha, tū hī mām̐ karatī|| 1|| jñāna pitā ko detī,
हे माँ, आप ही ऋषि-मुनियों की बुद्धि को शुद्ध करती हैं और उसे सोने के समान पवित्र बनाती हैं। आप ही ज्ञान के प्रकाश से अज्ञानता को दूर कर, मन को निर्मल करती हैं। O Mother, you purify the intellect of sages and ascetics, making it as pure as gold. You dispel ignorance with the light of knowledge, cleansing the mind and making it pristine.
गगन शब्द से तू विश्व को उत्पन्न करती, आदि शक्ति से तू॥ 2 ॥
gagana śabda se tū viśva ko utpanna karatī, ādi śakti se tū|| 2||
आप ही 'गगन' (आकाश) जैसे सूक्ष्म शब्द से इस संपूर्ण विश्व की रचना करती हैं। आप ही आदि शक्ति हैं, जिससे यह समस्त सृष्टि उत्पन्न हुई है और संचालित होती है। You are the one who creates this entire universe from the subtle sound, like the 'Gagan' (sky). You are the primordial power (Adi Shakti) from whom all creation originates and is sustained.
हंस-वाहिनी दीज, भिक्षा दर्शन की मेरे मन में केवल, इच्छा तेरे दर्शन की॥ 3 ॥
haṁsa-vāhinī dīja, bhikṣā darśana kī mere mana meṁ kevala, icchā tere darśana kī|| 3||
हे हंस पर विराजमान देवी, हमें अपने दर्शन की भिक्षा प्रदान कीजिए। मेरे मन में केवल आपके पवित्र दर्शन की ही तीव्र इच्छा है, और कोई कामना नहीं। O Goddess, who rides upon a swan, please grant us the alms of your divine vision. My heart harbors only the intense desire for your sacred sight, and no other wish.
ज्योति जगा कर नित्य, यह आरती जो गावे भवसागर के दुख में, गोता न कभी खावे॥ 4 ॥
jyoti jagā kara nitya, yaha āratī jo gāve bhavasāgara ke dukha meṁ, gotā na kabhī khāve|| 4||
जो कोई भी नित्य श्रद्धापूर्वक ज्ञान की ज्योति जलाकर इस आरती को गाता है, वह इस संसार रूपी भवसागर के दुखों में कभी गोता नहीं खाता। उसे मोक्ष और शांति प्राप्त होती है। Whoever regularly sings this Aarti, lighting the lamp of knowledge with devotion, will never drown in the sorrows of this worldly ocean (Bhavasagar). Such a devotee attains liberation and peace.
