आसपास सखियाँ सुख दैनी, सजि नव साज सिन्गार सुनैनी, बीन सितार लिएँ पिकबैनी, गाइ सुराग सुनाओ॥
āsapāsa sakhiyām̐ sukha dainī, saji nava sāja singāra sunainī, bīna sitāra liem̐ pikabainī, gāi surāga sunāo||
हे सखियों, तुम सब सुख प्रदान करने वाली हो। नए वस्त्र और सुंदर श्रृंगार करके, कोयल जैसी मधुर वाणी में वीणा और सितार लेकर, सुंदर रागों में गाकर आरती सुनाओ। यह आह्वान है कि सभी सखियाँ मिलकर भगवान राम और सीता की स्तुति करें। O dear friends, you are the givers of joy. Adorned in new garments and beautiful ornaments, with voices as sweet as a cuckoo's, playing the veena and sitar, sing the Aarti in melodious tunes. This verse calls upon all companions to collectively praise Lord Rama and Sita.
गाओ गाओ री, प्रियाप्रीतम की आरती गाओ।
gāo gāo rī, priyāprītama kī āratī gāo|
हे सखियों, आओ, हम सब मिलकर प्रियतम राम और प्रिया सीता की आरती गाएँ। यह पंक्ति सभी को युगल सरकार की आरती गाने के लिए प्रेरित कर रही है, जिसमें भक्ति और प्रेम का भाव निहित है। O friends, come, let us all together sing the Aarti of our beloved Rama and dear Sita. This line encourages everyone to sing the Aarti of the divine couple, imbued with feelings of devotion and love.
अनुपम छबि धरि दन्पति राजत, नील पीत पट भूषन भ्राजत, निरखत अगनित रति छबि लाजत, नैनन को फल पाओ॥
anupama chabi dhari danpati rājata, nīla pīta paṭa bhūṣana bhrājata, nirakhata aganita rati chabi lājata, nainana ko phala pāo||
अद्वितीय सौंदर्य धारण किए हुए युगल सरकार (सीता-राम) सुशोभित हो रहे हैं। उनके नील और पीले वस्त्र तथा आभूषण अत्यंत शोभायमान हैं। उनकी छवि को देखकर असंख्य कामदेव भी लज्जित होते हैं। उनके दर्शन कर अपने नेत्रों को सफल बनाओ। The divine couple (Sita-Rama) shines with unparalleled beauty. Their blue and yellow garments and ornaments are exceedingly radiant. Even countless Kamadevas (gods of love) feel shy before their splendor. Behold their form and make your eyes fruitful.
नीरज नैन चपल चितवनमें, रुचिर अरुनिमा सुचि अधरनमें, चन्द्रबदन की मधु मुसकनमें निज नयनाँ अरुझाओ॥
nīraja naina capala citavanameṁ, rucira arunimā suci adharanameṁ, candrabadana kī madhu musakanameṁ nija nayanām̐ arujhāo||
उनके कमल जैसे नयन और चंचल चितवन मन को मोह लेती है। उनके सुंदर लाल होंठों में पवित्रता है और चंद्र समान मुख पर मधुर मुस्कान है। अपने नेत्रों को उनकी इस मनमोहक छवि में उलझा दो। Their lotus-like eyes and playful glances captivate the mind. There is purity in their beautiful red lips, and a sweet smile graces their moon-like face. Entangle your eyes in this enchanting image of theirs.
कंचन थार सँवारि मनोहर, घृत कपूर सुभ बाति ज्योतिकर, मुरछल चवँर लिएँ रामेस्वर हरषि सुमन बरसाओ॥
kaṁcana thāra sam̐vāri manohara, ghṛta kapūra subha bāti jyotikara, murachala cavam̐ra liem̐ rāmesvara haraṣi sumana barasāo||
सोने की थाली को मनोहर ढंग से सजाकर, घी और कपूर से शुभ बाती प्रज्वलित करो। चंवर और मुरछल लेकर, रामेश्वर (भक्त) हर्षित होकर पुष्पों की वर्षा करें। यह आरती के पूर्ण विधि-विधान का वर्णन है। Decorate a golden plate beautifully and light auspicious wicks with ghee and camphor. Holding the chowrie and murachhal, let the devotee (Rameshwar) joyfully shower flowers. This describes the complete ritual of performing the Aarti.
