Aghanashaka Gayatri Stotram ..
नारद ुवाछ - भकतानुकमपिनसरवज्ञ हृ^िदयं पापनाशनम
nārada uvācha - bhaktānukampinsarvajña hṛ^idayaṃ pāpanāśanam
Narada spoke: O remover of sins, you who are the heart of your devotees, the one who knows all.
गायत्रयाः कथितं तसमादगायत्रयाः सतोत्रमीरय
gāyatryāḥ kathitaṃ tasmādgāyatryāḥ stotramīraya
Thus, I shall recite this stotra of the Gayatri, as it has been revealed.
ादिशकते जगनमातरभकतानुगरहकारिणि
ādiśakte jaganmātarbhaktānugrahakāriṇi
O Mother of the Universe, you who grant refuge to your devotees, the source of all power.
सरवत्र वयापिके.ननते शरीसनधये ते नमो.सतु ते
sarvatra vyāpike.anante śrīsandhye te namo.astu te
You are the omnipresent one, to whom we bow down with reverence.
तवमेव सनधया गायत्री सावित्री छ सरसवती
tvameva sandhyā gāyatrī sāvitrī cha sarasvatī
You alone are the essence of Gayatri, Savitri, and Saraswati.
बराहमी छ वैŚणवी रौदरी रकता शवेता सितेतरा
brāhmī cha vaiŚṇavī raudrī raktā śvetā sitetarā
You are Brahmani, Vaishnavi, and the fierce Rudrani, both red and white.
परातरबाला छ मधयाहने यौवनसथा भवेतपुनः
prātarbālā cha madhyāhne yauvanasthā bhavetpunaḥ
You are the youthful maiden at dawn, ever renewing your beauty.
बरहमा सायं भगवती छिनतयते मुनिभिः सदा
brahmā sāyaṃ bhagavatī chintyate munibhiḥ sadā
In the evening, you are the Goddess worshipped by sages, always remembered.
वृ^िदधा सायं हंससथा गरुडारूढा तथा वृ^िŚभवाहिनी
vṛ^iddhā sāyaṃ haṃsasthā garuḍārūḍhā tathā vṛ^iŚabhavāhinī
You are the swan at dusk, seated upon Garuda, and the bearer of the sacred Vedas.
यजुरवेदं पठनती छ नतरिकŚे विराजते
yajurvedaṃ paṭhantī cha antarikŚe virājate
You are the one who recites the Yajur Veda, shining in the celestial realms.
सा सामगापि सरवेŚु भरामयमाणा तथा भुवि
sā sāmagāpi sarveŚu bhrāmyamāṇā tathā bhuvi
You are the essence of all hymns, pervading the earth.
रुदरलोकं गता तवं हि विŚणुलोकनिवासिनी
rudralokaṃ gatā tvaṃ hi viŚṇulokanivāsinī
You have entered the realm of Rudra, yet reside in the abode of Vishnu.
तवमेव बरहमणो लोके.मरतयानुगरहकारिणी
tvameva brahmaṇo loke.amartyānugrahakāriṇī
You alone are the Brahman of this world, the one who grants refuge to the dying.
सपतरŚिपरीतिजननी माया बहुवरपरदा
saptarŚiprītijananī māyā bahuvarapradā
You are the mother of the Saptarishis, the illusion that veils many wonders.
शिवयोः करनेत्रोतथा हयशरुसवेदसमुदभवा
śivayoḥ karanetrotthā hyaśrusvedasamudbhavā
You are born from the union of Shiva and Shakti, the essence of the Vedas.
ाननदजननी दुरगा दशधा परिपठयते
ānandajananī durgā daśadhā paripaṭhyate
O Durga, the mother of joy, you are chanted in ten forms.
वरेणया वरदा छैव वरिŚठा वरवरणिनी
vareṇyā varadā chaiva variŚṭhā varavarṇinī
You are the bountiful giver, the bestower of boons, the revered one.
गरिŚठा छ वरारहा छ वरारोहा छ सपतमी
gariŚṭhā cha varārhā cha varārohā cha saptamī
You are the great goddess, the revered one, the one who grants all wishes.
नीलगङगा तथा सनधया सरवदा भोगमोकŚदा
nīlagaṅgā tathā sandhyā sarvadā bhogamokŚadā
You are the blue Ganga, always bestowing the fruits of both enjoyment and liberation.
भागीरथी मरतयलोके पाताले भोगवतयपि
bhāgīrathī martyaloke pātāle bhogavatyapi
You are the Bhagirathi, in the world of mortals, and in the nether realms, you grant pleasures.
त्रिलोकवाहिनी देवी सथानत्रयनिवासिनी
trilokavāhinī devī sthānatrayanivāsinī
You are the goddess who traverses the three worlds, residing in the three realms.
भूरलोकसथा तवमेवासि धरित्री लोकधारिणी
bhūrlokasthā tvamevāsi dharitrī lokadhāriṇī
You dwell in the earthly realm, O Earth, the bearer of all worlds.
भुवो लोके वायुशकतिः सवरलोके तेजसां निधिः
bhuvo loke vāyuśaktiḥ svarloke tejasāṃ nidhiḥ
In the world of mortals, you are the power of the wind, the treasure of radiance.
महरलोके महासिदधिरजनलोके जनेतयपि
maharloke mahāsiddhirjanaloke janetyapi
In the great realm, you are the supreme power, the essence of all beings.
तपसविनी तपोलोके सतयलोके तु सतयवाक
tapasvinī tapoloke satyaloke tu satyavāk
In the realm of austerity, you shine, O Tapasvini, in the world of truth, you are the embodiment of sacred speech.
कमला विŚणुलोके छ गायत्री बरहमलोकगा
kamalā viŚṇuloke cha gāyatrī brahmalokagā
In the abode of Vishnu, you are Kamala, the divine, O Gayatri, who resides in the realm of Brahman.
बरहमलोकदा रुदरलोके सथिता गौरी हरारधाङगनिवासिनी
brahmalokadā rudraloke sthitā gaurī harārdhāṅganivāsinī
In the realm of Brahman, you dwell, O Gauri, the consort of Shiva, the beloved of the Lord.
हमो महतशछैव परकृ^ितिसतवं हि गीयसे
ahamo mahataśchaiva prakṛ^itistvaṃ hi gīyase
You are the great essence, the supreme nature, indeed, you are sung in praises.
सामयावसथातमिका तवं हि शबलबरहमरूपिणी
sāmyāvasthātmikā tvaṃ hi śabalabrahmarūpiṇī
You are the essence of the sacred syllable, the embodiment of Brahman, O divine one, you are indeed the source of all.
ततः परापरा शकतिः परमा तवं हि गीयसे
tataḥ parāparā śaktiḥ paramā tvaṃ hi gīyase
Beyond the realms, you are the supreme power, indeed, you are sung in praises.
िछCहाशकतिः करियाशकतिरज्ञानशकतिसत्रिशकतिदा
ichChāśaktiḥ kriyāśaktirjñānaśaktistriśaktidā
You are the power of the mind, the power of action, the power of knowledge, the power of the three worlds.
गङगा छ यमुना छैव विपाशा छ सरसवती
gaṅgā cha yamunā chaiva vipāśā cha sarasvatī
The Ganges, the Yamuna, the Vipasha, and the Sarasvati, they flow as your manifestations.
सरयूरदेविका सिनधुरनरमदेरावती तथा
sarayūrdevikā sindhurnarmaderāvatī tathā
The Sarayu, the Devi of the rivers, the Sindhu, and the Naramada, all flow in your grace.
गोदावरी शतदरुशछ कावेरी देवलोकगा
godāvarī śatadruścha kāverī devalokagā
The Godavari, the Shatadru, and the Kaveri, they belong to the divine realms.
कौशिकी छनदरभागा छ वितसता छ सरसवती
kauśikī chandrabhāgā cha vitastā cha sarasvatī
The Kaushiki, the Chandrabhaga, the Vitasta, and the Sarasvati, they flow as your sacred rivers.
गणडकी तापिनी तोया गोमती वेत्रवतयपि
gaṇḍakī tāpinī toyā gomatī vetravatyapi
The Ganga, the Tapini, the Gomati, and the Vetavati, they are your sacred waters.
िडा छ पिङगला छैव सुŚुमणा छ तृ^ितीयका
iḍā cha piṅgalā chaiva suŚumṇā cha tṛ^itīyakā
The red one, the Pingala, and the auspicious one, the third, they are your divine forms.
गानधारी हसतिजिहवा छ पूŚापूŚा तथैव छ
gāndhārī hastijihvā cha pūŚāpūŚā tathaiva cha
The Gandhari, with her sweet tongue, and the Pushpaka, they are your manifestations.
लमबुŚा कुहूशछैव शङखिनी पराणवाहिनी
alambuŚā kuhūśchaiva śaṅkhinī prāṇavāhinī
The Lambuja and the Kuhusha, the Shankhini, the bearer of life, they are your divine aspects.
नाडी छ तवं शरीरसथा गीयसे पराकतनैरबुधैः
nāḍī cha tvaṃ śarīrasthā gīyase prāktanairbudhaiḥ
You are the nadis, the essence of the body, indeed, you are sung in praises by the wise.
हृ^ितपदमसथा पराणशकतिः कणठसथा सवपननायिका
hṛ^itapadmasthā prāṇaśaktiḥ kaṇṭhasthā svapnanāyikā
In the heart, you reside as the life force, in the throat, you are the dreamer of all.
तालुसथा तवं सदाधारा बिनदुसथा बिनदुमालिनी
tālusthā tvaṃ sadādhārā bindusthā bindumālinī
You are the support of all, the eternal foundation, the garland of bliss.
मूले तु कुणडली शकतिरवयापिनी केशमूलगा
mūle tu kuṇḍalī śaktirvyāpinī keśamūlagā
At the root, you are the coiled power, the essence of the hair, you are the divine energy.
शिखामधयासना तवं हि शिखागरे तु मनोनमनी
śikhāmadhyāsanā tvaṃ hi śikhāgre tu manonmanī
Seated in the crest, you are the peak of the mind, indeed, you are the essence of all.
किमनयद बहुनोकतेन यतकिञछिजजगतीत्रये
kimanyad bahunoktena yatkiñchijjagatītraye
What can be said of you, who transcends all, in the three worlds, you are the essence.
ततसरवं तवं महादेवि शरिये सनधये नमो.सतु ते
tatsarvaṃ tvaṃ mahādevi śriye sandhye namo.astu te
Thus, O Great Goddess, I bow to you, may you grant me your blessings.
महापापपरशमनं महासिदधिविधायकम
mahāpāpapraśamanaṃ mahāsiddhividhāyakam
It dispels the greatest sins and grants the highest achievements.
य िदं कीरतयेत सतोत्रं सनधयाकाले समाहितः
ya idaṃ kīrtayet stotraṃ sandhyākāle samāhitaḥ
Whoever recites this stotra with devotion at the right time shall be uplifted.
पुत्रः परापनुयात पुत्रं धनारथी धनमापनुयात
aputraḥ prāpnuyāt putraṃ dhanārthī dhanamāpnuyāt
A son shall attain the highest bliss, and the one who seeks wealth shall gain riches.
सरवतीरथतपोदानयज्ञयोगफलं लभेत
sarvatīrthatapodānayajñayogaphalaṃ labhet
By the power of the sacred rites and the offerings made with devotion, one shall reap the fruits of their spiritual endeavors.
भोगान भुकतवा छिरं कालमनते मोकŚमवापनुयात
bhogān bhuktvā chiraṃ kālamante mokŚamavāpnuyāt
Enjoying pleasures for a long time, one shall ultimately attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
तपसविभिः कृ^ितं सतोत्रं सनानकाले तु यः पठेत
tapasvibhiḥ kṛ^itaṃ stotraṃ snānakāle tu yaḥ paṭhet
Those who recite this stotra during their sacred bath shall reap its rewards.
यत्र कुत्र जले मगनः सनधयामजजनजं फलम
yatra kutra jale magnaḥ sandhyāmajjanajaṃ phalam
Wherever one immerses in water with devotion, they shall receive the fruits of their actions.
लभते नात्र सनदेहः सतयं छ नारद
labhate nātra sandehaḥ satyaṃ cha nārada
Here, there is no doubt; Narada declares that one who is devoted shall surely attain the truth.
शृ^िणुयादयो.पि तदभकतया स तु पापात परमुछयते
śṛ^iṇuyādyo.api tadbhaktyā sa tu pāpāt pramuchyate
Even those who listen with devotion shall be freed from sin, for they are liberated from the bonds of karma.
पीयूŚसदृ^िशं वाकयं सनधयोकतं नारदेरितम
pīyūŚasadṛ^iśaṃ vākyaṃ sandhyoktaṃ nāraderitam
Like the nectar of the divine, the words spoken by Narada shall grant liberation to the devoted.
िति शरीदेवीभागवते महापुराणे दवादशसकनधे पञछमो.धयाये शरीघनाशकगायत्रीसतोत्रं समपूरणम
iti śrīdevībhāgavate mahāpurāṇe dvādaśaskandhe pañchamo.adhyāye śrīaghanāśakagāyatrīstotraṃ sampūrṇam
Thus, in the sacred Bhagavata Purana, in the twelfth book, the fifth chapter, the complete Aghanashaka Gayatri Stotra is revealed.
