The Annapurnastotram is a hymn dedicated to Goddess Annapurna, celebrating her as the giver of nourishment and abundance.
शरीबरहमभैरव ुवाछ - साधनानि छ सरवाणि शरुतानि तव सुवरत
śrībrahmabhairava uvācha - sādhanāni cha sarvāṇi śrutāni tava suvrata
O Bhairava, the essence of the body, I speak of your sacred practices, all that you have revealed.
िदानीं वद देवेश सतोत्राणि कवछानि छ
idānīṃ vada deveśa stotrāṇi kavachāni cha
Now, O Lord of the Gods, I shall recite your hymns and protective mantras.
शरीशिव ुवाछ - कथयामि तव सनेहात सतोत्राणि कवछानि छ
śrīśiva uvācha - kathayāmi tava snehāt stotrāṇi kavachāni cha
O Shiva, I shall narrate your beloved hymns and protective mantras.
ननपूरणापरीतिदानि सावधानो.वधारय
annapūrṇāprītidāni sāvadhāno.avadhāraya
Annapurna, bestower of fulfillment, grant me your grace with utmost care.
हरींकारं परथमं नमो भगवति सवाहावसानां धरुवं मनत्रं सपतदशाकŚरं जपति ते माहेशवरि परोकŚितम
hrīṃkāraṃ prathamaṃ namo bhagavati svāhāvasānāṃ dhruvaṃ mantraṃ saptadaśākŚaraṃ japati te māheśvari prokŚitam
To you, O Divine Mother, I bow, as I chant your eternal mantra, a sacred verse of sixteen syllables, invoking your hidden blessings.
हरींकारमुरतिं कमनीयवकत्रां छनदराङकरेखानवितभालभागाम
hrīṃkāramurtiṃ kamanīyavaktrāṃ chandrāṅkarekhānvitabhālabhāgām
I behold the enchanting form of the one with a beautiful face, adorned with the crescent moon upon her brow.
ीशानकानतां परणमामि नितयां लकŚमीविलासासपदपादपीठाम
īśānkāntāṃ praṇamāmi nityāṃ lakŚmīvilāsāspadapādapīṭhām
I bow daily to the eternal one, who resides in the splendor of Lakshmi's grace.
नमो.सतु तुभयं गिरिराजकनये नमो.सतु कामानतकवललभायै
namo.astu tubhyaṃ girirājakanye namo.astu kāmāntakavallabhāyai
Salutations to you, O daughter of the Mountain King, and to you, who grants desires to those who seek.
नमो.सतु पङके रुहलोछनायै नमः शिवायै शशिभूŚणायै
namo.astu paṅke ruhalochanāyai namaḥ śivāyai śaśibhūŚaṇāyai
Salutations to you, O lotus-eyed one, and to you, O Shiva, adorned with the moon.
वामे करे.मृ^ितमयं कलशञछ दकŚे सवरणाङकितां ननु पललाननमयीञछ दरवीम
vāme kare.amṛ^itamayaṃ kalaśañcha dakŚe svarṇāṅkitāṃ nanu pallānnamayīñcha darvīm
In your left hand, you hold a pot of nectar, while your right hand is adorned with golden ornaments, embodying the essence of the universe.
छित्रां सुवरणवसनां गिरिशसय कानतां सतपदमपत्रनयनां मनसाहमीडे
chitrāṃ suvarṇavasanāṃ giriśasya kāntāṃ satpadmapatranayanāṃ manasāhamīḍe
With a beautiful garment, you are the beloved of Girisha, with eyes like lotus petals, I meditate upon you.
वामे माणिकयपात्रं मधुरसभरितं बिभरतीं पाणिपदमे दिवयैरतनैः परपूरणां मणिमयवलये दकŚिणे रतनदरवीम
vāme māṇikyapātraṃ madhurasabharitaṃ bibhratīṃ pāṇipadme divyairatnaiḥ prapūrṇāṃ maṇimayavalaye dakŚiṇe ratnadarvīm
In your left hand, you carry a jewel-filled vessel, sweetly overflowing, while your right hand bestows divine blessings.
रकताङगी पीनतुङगसतनभरविलसंसतारहारां त्रिनेत्रां वनदे पूरणेनदुबिमबपरतिनिधिवदनाममबिकामननपूरणाम
raktāṅgī pīnatuṅgastanabharavilasaṃstārahārāṃ trinetrāṃ vande pūrṇendubimbapratinidhivadanāmambikāmannapūrṇām
With a red complexion and a form of fullness, adorned with a garland of stars, you are the three-eyed one, the embodiment of desire, O Annapurna.
भगवति भवरोगात पीडितं दुŚकृ^ितोतथात सुतदुहितृ^िकलत्रोपदरवेणानुजातम
bhagavati bhavarogāt pīḍitaṃ duŚkṛ^itotthāt sutaduhitṛ^ikalatropadraveṇānujātam
O Goddess, I am afflicted by the pains of worldly existence; grant me refuge, for I am tormented by the trials of life.
विलसदमृ^ितदृ^िŚटया वीकŚय विभरानतछिततम सकलभुवनमातसत्राहि मामननपूरणे
vilasadamṛ^itadṛ^iŚṭyā vīkŚya vibhrāntachittam sakalabhuvanamātastrāhi māmannapūrṇe
With your nectar-like gaze, you behold me, O Mother of the Universe; protect me from all fears.
माहेशवरीमाशरितकलपवललीमहं भवछCहेदकरीं भवानीम
māheśvarīmāśritakalpavallīmahaṃ bhavachChedakarīṃ bhavānīm
O Maheshwari, I take shelter beneath your tender vine, for you are the remover of all obstacles.
कŚुधारतजायातनयाभयुपेतसतवामननपूरणां शरणं परपदये
kŚudhārtajāyātanayābhyupetastvāmannapūrṇāṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye
In the face of hunger and fear, I seek refuge in you, O Annapurna, the ultimate shelter.
दारिदरयदावानलदहयमानं नमो.ननपूरणे गिरिराजकनये
dāridryadāvānaladahyamānaṃ namo.annapūrṇe girirājakanye
Salutations to you, O daughter of the Mountain King, who extinguishes the flames of poverty.
कृ^िपामबुवरŚैरभिŚिञछ तवं मां तवतपादपदमारपितछिततवृ^िततिम
kṛ^ipāmbuvarŚairabhiŚiñcha tvaṃ māṃ tvatpādapadmārpitachittavṛ^ittim
With your grace, O Mother, may I be devoted at your feet, surrendering my heart and soul.
ितयननपूरणासतवरतनमेतछCहलोकाŚटकं यः पठतीह भकतया
ityannapūrṇāstavaratnametachChlokāŚṭakaṃ yaḥ paṭhatīha bhaktyā
He who recites this Annapurna Stotra with devotion shall attain prosperity and liberation.
तसमै ददातयननसमृ^िदधिराशिं शरियञछ विदयाञछ परत्र मुकतिम
tasmai dadātyannasamṛ^iddhirāśiṃ śriyañcha vidyāñcha paratra muktim
To him, I grant the fulfillment of all desires, and the wisdom to attain liberation beyond this world.
ितयननदाकलपे Śोडशपटले ननपूरणासतोत्रं समापतम
ityannadākalpe Śoḍaśapaṭale annapūrṇāstotraṃ samāptam
Thus concludes the Annapurna Stotra, composed of sixteen verses.
