This stotram is a prayer to Durga, emphasizing her transformative powers and the sacredness of the Arunachala hill.
kāśyāṃ muktirmaraṇādaruṇākhyasyāchalasya tu smaraṇāt
In Kashi, liberation from death is found, through the grace of Arunachala, the essence of remembrance.

The radiant form of the Lord, known as the Lingam, shines brightly, dispelling the fears of mortality.

pinākinīstutiḥ dvidheha sambhūya dhunī pinākinī dvidheva raudrī hi tanuḥ pinākinī
O Pinakini, your praise is twofold; you embody both the fierce and the gentle, as the divine essence flows through you.

anāyāsato yā pinākyāptidātrī punātvahaṃso naḥ pinākinyavitrī
You, who grant the boons of liberation, O Pinakini, bestow upon us the purity of the swan.
aruṇāchalataḥ kāñchyā api dakŚiṇadiksthitā
From the heights of Arunachala, you shine forth, even in the southern realms, a beacon of hope.

yādhimāsavaśāchchaitryāṃ kṛ^itakŚaurasya me.alpakā
In the month of Chaitra, may the nectar of your essence flow, bringing forth the sweetness of life.
snāpanāya kŚaṇādvṛ^iddhā sāddhāsevyā pinākinī
For the sake of salvation, O Pinakini, may your service be my refuge, guiding me to the divine.
