ब्रह्मोवाच । आदिदेवोऽसि देवानामैश्वर्याच्च त्वमीश्वरः ।
brahmōvāca
Brahma said:
आदिकर्ताऽसि भूतानां देवदेवो दिवाकरः ॥ १ ॥
ādidēvō:'si dēvānāmaiśvaryācca tvamīśvaraḥ
You are the original deity, the lord of the gods, and the source of all wealth.
जीवनः सर्वभूतानां देवगन्धर्वरक्षसाम् ।
ādikartā:'si bhūtānāṁ dēvadēvō divākaraḥ
You are the creator of all beings, the god of gods, the sun by day.
मुनिकिन्नरसिद्धानां तथैवोरगपक्षिणाम् ॥ २ ॥
jīvanaḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ dēvagandharvarakṣasām
You are the life of all beings, the protectors of the divine, the Gandharvas, and the Rakshasas.
त्वं ब्रह्मा त्वं महादेवस्त्वं विष्णुस्त्वं प्रजापतिः ।
munikinnarasiddhānāṁ tathaivōragapakṣiṇām
You are the sages, the Kinnaras, the Siddhas, as well as the serpents and birds.
वायुरिन्द्रश्च सोमश्च विवस्वान् वरुणस्तथा ॥ ३ ॥
tvaṁ brahmā tvaṁ mahādēvastvaṁ viṣṇustvaṁ prajāpatiḥ
You are Brahma, you are the great god, you are Vishnu, you are Prajapati.
त्वं कालः सृष्टिकर्ता च हर्ता भर्ता तथा प्रभुः ।
vāyurindraśca sōmaśca vivasvān varuṇastathā
You are Vayu, Indra, Soma, Vivasvan, and Varuna as well.
सरितः सागराः शैला विद्युदिन्द्रधनूंषि च ॥ ४ ॥
tvaṁ kālaḥ sr̥ṣṭikartā ca hartā bhartā tathā prabhuḥ
You are time, the creator of the universe, the destroyer, the sustainer, and the lord.
प्रलयः प्रभवश्चैव व्यक्ताव्यक्तः सनातनः ।
saritaḥ sāgarāḥ śailā vidyudindradhanūṁṣi ca
You are the rivers, the oceans, the mountains, the lightning, and the rainbows.
ईश्वरात्परतो विद्या विद्यायाः परतः शिवः ॥ ५ ॥
pralayaḥ prabhavaścaiva vyaktāvyaktaḥ sanātanaḥ
You are the dissolution and the origin, both manifest and unmanifest, eternal.
शिवात्परतरो देवस्त्वमेव परमेश्वरः ।
īśvarātparatō vidyā vidyāyāḥ parataḥ śivaḥ
Beyond the supreme God is knowledge; beyond knowledge is Shiva.
सर्वतः पाणिपादान्तः सर्वतोक्षिशिरोमुखः ॥ ६ ॥
śivātparatarō dēvastvamēva paramēśvaraḥ
Beyond Shiva is the supreme deity; you alone are the supreme lord.
सहस्रांशुः सहस्रास्यः सहस्रचरणेक्षणः ।
sarvataḥ pāṇipādāntaḥ sarvatōkṣiśirōmukhaḥ
You are everywhere, with hands and feet everywhere, with eyes, heads, and faces everywhere.
भूतादिर्भूर्भुवः स्वश्च महः सत्यं तपो जनः ॥ ७ ॥
sahasrāṁśuḥ sahasrāsyaḥ sahasracaraṇēkṣaṇaḥ
You are the thousand-rayed sun, the one with a thousand eyes, and the one with a thousand feet.
प्रदीप्तं दीपनं दिव्यं सर्वलोकप्रकाशकम् ।
bhūtādirbhūrbhuvaḥ svaśca mahaḥ satyaṁ tapō janaḥ
You are the origin of all beings, the earth, the atmosphere, the sky, and the great truth; you are the ascetic.
दुर्निरीक्ष्यं सुरेन्द्राणां यद्रूपं तस्य ते नमः ॥ ८ ॥
pradīptaṁ dīpanaṁ divyaṁ sarvalōkaprakāśakam
The divine lamp that is lit, illuminating all worlds,
सुरसिद्धगणैर्जुष्टं भृग्वत्रिपुलहादिभिः ।
durnirīkṣyaṁ surēndrāṇāṁ yadrūpaṁ tasya tē namaḥ
Difficult to behold, O Lord of the Gods, I bow to that form of Yours.
स्तुतस्य परमव्यक्तं यद्रूपं तस्य ते नमः ॥ ९ ॥
surasiddhagaṇairjuṣṭaṁ bhr̥gvatripulahādibhiḥ
Adorned by the assembly of divine sages and the three-eyed ones,
वेद्यं वेदविदां नित्यं सर्वज्ञानसमन्वितम् ।
stutasya paramavyaktaṁ yadrūpaṁ tasya tē namaḥ
To that supreme, ineffable form of Yours, I bow.
सर्वदेवाधिदेवस्य यद्रूपं तस्य ते नमः ॥ १० ॥
vēdyaṁ vēdavidāṁ nityaṁ sarvajñānasamanvitam
Known by the knower of the Vedas, eternal and endowed with all knowledge,
विश्वकृद्विश्वभूतं च वैश्वानरसुरार्चितम् ।
sarvadēvādhidēvasya yadrūpaṁ tasya tē namaḥ
To that form of the supreme deity of all gods, I bow.
विश्वस्थितमवेद्यं च यद्रूपं तस्य ते नमः ॥ ११ ॥
viśvakr̥dviśvabhūtaṁ ca vaiśvānarasurārcitam
The creator of the universe, worshipped by the divine,
परं यज्ञात्परं वेदात्परं लोकात्परं दिवः ।
viśvasthitamavēdyaṁ ca yadrūpaṁ tasya tē namaḥ
To that form, which is beyond all comprehension, I bow.
परमात्मेत्यभिख्यातं यद्रूपं तस्य ते नमः ॥ १२ ॥
paraṁ yajñātparaṁ vēdātparaṁ lōkātparaṁ divaḥ
Beyond sacrifice, beyond the Vedas, beyond the worlds, beyond the heavens,
अविज्ञेयमनालक्ष्यमध्यानगतमव्ययम् ।
paramātmētyabhikhyātaṁ yadrūpaṁ tasya tē namaḥ
To that form known as the Supreme Soul, I bow.
अनादिनिधनं चैव यद्रूपं तस्य ते नमः ॥ १३ ॥
avijñēyamanālakṣyamadhyānagatamavyayam
Incomprehensible, imperceptible, eternal, and unchanging,
नमो नमः कारणकारणाय
anādinidhanaṁ caiva yadrūpaṁ tasya tē namaḥ
To that form, which is without beginning or end, I bow.
नमो नमः पापविमोचनाय । नमो नमस्तेऽदितिवन्दिताय
namō namaḥ kāraṇakāraṇāya namō namaḥ pāpavimōcanāya
Salutations, salutations to the cause of all causes,
नमो नमो रोगविनाशनाय ॥ १४ ॥
namō namastē:'ditivanditāya namō namō rōgavināśanāya
Salutations, salutations to the one who liberates from sin,
नमो नमः सर्ववरप्रदाय
namō namaḥ sarvavarapradāya namō namaḥ sarvasukhapradāya
Salutations, salutations to the one worshipped by the daughter of Diti,
नमो नमः सर्वसुखप्रदाय । नमो नमः सर्वधनप्रदाय
namō namaḥ sarvadhanapradāya namō namaḥ sarvamatipradāya
Salutations, salutations to the one who destroys diseases,
नमो नमः सर्वमतिप्रदाय ॥ १५ ॥
