Manu Krutha Surya Stuti
The Manu Krutha Surya Stuti is a hymn that praises Surya, invoking his light and wisdom for the benefit of devotees.
मनुरुवाच । नमो नमो वरेण्याय वरदायाऽम्शुमालिने ।
manuruvāca
Salutations, salutations to the most excellent one, the granter of boons, O one adorned with the sun.
ज्योतिर्मय नमस्तुभ्यमनन्तायाजिताय ते ॥ १ ॥
namō namō varēṇyāya varadāyā:'mśumālinē
I bow to you, who are made of light, O infinite one, worthy of worship.
त्रिलोकचक्षुषे तुभ्यं त्रिगुणायामृताय च ।
jyōtirmaya namastubhyamanantāyājitāya tē
To you, the eye of the three worlds, the one with three qualities, and the one who is immortal, I bow.
नमो धर्माय हंसाय जगज्जननहेतवे ॥ २ ॥
trilōkacakṣuṣē tubhyaṁ triguṇāyāmr̥tāya ca
Salutations to Dharma, the swan, the cause of the creation of the universe.
नरनारीशररीराय नमो मीढुष्टमाय ते ।
namō dharmāya haṁsāya jagajjananahētavē
I bow to you, who dwell in the bodies of men and women, O one of sweet taste.
प्रज्ञानायाखिलेशाय सप्ताश्वाय त्रिमूर्तये ॥ ३ ॥
naranārīśararīrāya namō mīḍhuṣṭamāya tē
To the one of wisdom, the lord of all beings, the one with seven horses, I bow to the three forms.
नमो व्याहृतिरूपाय त्रिलक्षायाऽऽशुगामिने ।
prajñānāyākhilēśāya saptāśvāya trimūrtayē
Salutations to the one who takes the form of the sacred utterance, to the one with three lakshas, the one who travels well.
हर्यश्वाय नमस्तुभ्यं नमो हरितवाहवे ॥ ४ ॥
namō vyāhr̥tirūpāya trilakṣāyā:':'śugāminē
To you, O one with the horse of the sun, I bow, O one with the greenish hue.
एकलक्षविलक्षाय बहुलक्षाय दण्डिने ।
haryaśvāya namastubhyaṁ namō haritavāhavē
To the one who is singular and distinct, to the one with many forms, I bow to you.
एकसंस्थद्विसंस्थाय बहुसंस्थाय ते नमः ॥ ५ ॥
ēkalakṣavilakṣāya bahulakṣāya daṇḍinē
To the one with three powers, the pure one, the supreme lord of the sun, I bow.
शक्तित्रयाय शुक्लाय रवये परमेष्ठिने ।
ēkasaṁsthadvisaṁsthāya bahusaṁsthāya tē namaḥ
You are Shiva, you are Hari, O deity, you are Brahma, you are the lord of the heavens.
त्वं शिवस्त्वं हरिर्देव त्वं ब्रह्मा त्वं दिवस्पतिः ॥ ६ ॥
śaktitrayāya śuklāya ravayē paramēṣṭhinē
You are the sacred syllable, the one who is invoked, the offerings, and the oblations; indeed, you are all of these.
त्वमोङ्कारो वषट्कारः स्वधा स्वाहा त्वमेव हि ।
tvaṁ śivastvaṁ harirdēva tvaṁ brahmā tvaṁ divaspatiḥ
I do not see any deity other than you, the supreme soul, the immortal one.
त्वामृते परमात्मानं न तत्पश्यामि दैवतम् ॥ ७ ॥
tvamōṅkārō vaṣaṭkāraḥ svadhā svāhā tvamēva hi
Thus, in the first chapter of the Śrī Saurapurāṇa, is the hymn of praise composed by Manu.
इति श्रीसौरपुराणे प्रथमोऽध्याये मनुकृत श्री सूर्य स्तुतिः ।
tvāmr̥tē paramātmānaṁ na tatpaśyāmi daivatam
