Shodasa Ganapathi Stavam
The stotra celebrates the various forms of Ganesha, invoking his blessings for abundance and success in all aspects of life.
श्री गणेश स्तोत्राणि
prathamō bālavighnēśō dvitīyastaruṇō bhavēt
The first is the child Vighnesha, the second is the youthful one.
प्रथमो बालविघ्नेशो द्वितीयस्तरुणो भवेत् ।
tr̥tīyō bhaktavighnēśaścaturthō vīravighnapaḥ
The third is the remover of obstacles for devotees, the fourth is the hero who removes obstacles.
तृतीयो भक्तविघ्नेशश्चतुर्थो वीरविघ्नपः ॥ १ ॥
pañcamaḥ śaktivighnēśaḥ ṣaṣṭhō dhvajagaṇādhipaḥ
The fifth is the remover of obstacles through power, the sixth is the lord of the flag and the troop.
पञ्चमः शक्तिविघ्नेशः षष्ठो ध्वजगणाधिपः ।
saptamaḥ siddhiruddiṣṭaḥ ucchiṣṭaścāṣṭamaḥ smr̥taḥ
The seventh is the one called Siddhi, the eighth is the remembered one called Ucchishta.
सप्तमः सिद्धिरुद्दिष्टः उच्छिष्टश्चाष्टमः स्मृतः ॥ २ ॥
navamō vighnarājaḥ syāddaśamaḥ kṣipranāyakaḥ
The ninth is the king of obstacles, the tenth is the swift leader.
नवमो विघ्नराजः स्याद्दशमः क्षिप्रनायकः ।
hērambaścaikādaśaḥ syāddvādaśō lakṣmināyakaḥ
The eleventh is Heramba, the twelfth is the lord of Lakshmi.
हेरम्बश्चैकादशः स्याद्द्वादशो लक्ष्मिनायकः ॥ ३ ॥
trayōdaśō mahāvighnō vijayākhyaścaturdaśaḥ
The thirteenth is the great obstacle, known as Vijaya, the fourteenth is the one called Nrityakhya.
त्रयोदशो महाविघ्नो विजयाख्यश्चतुर्दशः ।
nr̥ttākhyaḥ pañcadaśaḥ syāt ṣōḍaśaścōrdhvanāyakaḥ
The fifteenth should be the one called Panchadasha, the sixteenth is the one called Urdhvanaika.
नृत्ताख्यः पञ्चदशः स्यात् षोडशश्चोर्ध्वनायकः ॥ ४ ॥
ētat ṣōḍaśakaṁ nāma stōtraṁ sarvārthasādhakam
This is the sixteen-fold name of the stotra that fulfills all desires.
एतत् षोडशकं नाम स्तोत्रं सर्वार्थसाधकम् ।
trisandhyaṁ yaḥ paṭhēnnityaṁ sa sukhī sarvatō jayī
Whoever recites it three times daily will be happy and victorious in all respects.
त्रिसन्ध्यं यः पठेन्नित्यं स सुखी सर्वतो जयी ॥ ५ ॥
tasya vighnāḥ palāyantē vainatēyādyathōragāḥ
Before him, obstacles flee like the serpents before Garuda.
तस्य विघ्नाः पलायन्ते वैनतेयाद्यथोरगाः ।
gaṇēśvaraprasādēna mahājñānī bhavēddhruvam
By the grace of Ganeshvara, he will surely become a great knower.
गणेश्वरप्रसादेन महाज्ञानी भवेद्ध्रुवम् ॥ ६ ॥
iti ṣōḍaśagaṇapati stavam
Thus is the sixteen-fold Ganapati Stava.
