Listen, O Devi, O revered one, the cause of the universe, O Koulini.
ाराधनीया सरवेŚां सरवेŚां परिपृ^िछCहसि
ārādhanīyā sarveŚāṃ sarveŚāṃ paripṛ^ichChasi
You inquire about the essence of all beings, the most revered.
सहसरैरनामभिरदिवयैसत्रैलोकयपराणिपूजितैः
sahasrairnāmabhirdivyaistrailokyaprāṇipūjitaiḥ
With a thousand divine names, worshipped by all beings in the three worlds.
ननदायाससतवं दिवयं यतसुरैरपि वाञCहितम
annadāyāsstavaṃ divyaṃ yatsurairapi vāñChitam
The divine essence is indeed worthy of praise, desired even by the celestial beings.
कथयामि तव सनेहातसावधाना.वधारय
kathayāmi tava snehātsāvadhānā.avadhāraya
I shall speak of your loving nature, O attentive one, hold this in your heart.
गोपनीयं परयतनेन सतवराजमिदं शुभम
gopanīyaṃ prayatnena stavarājamidaṃ śubham
This sacred knowledge is to be kept secret, a treasure of auspiciousness.
न परकाशयं तवया भदरे दुरजनेभयो निःशेŚतः
na prakāśyaṃ tvayā bhadre durjanebhyo niḥśeŚataḥ
Do not reveal it, O auspicious one, for it is a shield against the wicked.
न देयं परशिŚयेभयो भकतिहीनाय पारवति
na deyaṃ paraśiŚyebhyo bhaktihīnāya pārvati
Do not give it to those devoid of devotion, O Parvati.
देयं शिŚयाय शानताय गुरुदेवरताय छ
deyaṃ śiŚyāya śāntāya gurudevaratāya cha
It is to be given to the devoted disciple, the peaceful one, the beloved of the Guru.
ननपूरणासतवं देयं कौलिकाय कुलेशवरी
annapūrṇāstavaṃ deyaṃ kaulikāya kuleśvarī
The essence of the complete knowledge is to be given to the Koulika, the Goddess of the lineage.

bibhrāṇāmaniśaṃ varaṃ japapaṭīṃ śūlaṃ kapālaṃ karaiḥ ādyāṃ yauvanagarvitāṃ lipitanuṃ vāgīśvarīmāśraye
Bestowing boons eternally, holding the trident and the skull, I take refuge in you, O Vāgīśvarī, the embodiment of youth and grace.

बजानना ननतातमा गरिसथा गनिरूपिणी

छकरिणी छारुछमपाभा छारुछमपकमालिनी

छनदरिका छनदरकानतिशछ छापिनी छनदरशेखरा

गोपनीयं परयतनेन पठनीयं परयतनतः
gopanīyaṃ prayatnena paṭhanīyaṃ prayatnataḥ
It is to be kept secret, and with utmost effort, it should be recited with devotion.
नातः परतरं पुणयं नातः परतरं तपः
nātaḥ parataraṃ puṇyaṃ nātaḥ parataraṃ tapaḥ
There is no greater merit than this, no greater penance to be found.
नातः परतरं सतोत्रं नातः परतरा गतिः
nātaḥ parataraṃ stotraṃ nātaḥ paratarā gatiḥ
There is no stotra greater than this, nor a path more exalted.
सतोत्रं नामसहसराखयं मम वकत्रादविनिरगतम

यः पठेतपरया भकतया शृ^िणुयादवा समाहितः

Whoever recites it with utmost devotion, or listens with a focused mind,
मोकŚारथी लभते मोकŚं सवरगारथी सवरगमापनुयात
mokŚārthī labhate mokŚaṃ svargārthī svargamāpnuyāt
Shall attain liberation, and the one who seeks the heavens shall reach them.
कामारथी लभते कामं धनारथी लभते धनम
kāmārthī labhate kāmaṃ dhanārthī labhate dhanam
The seeker of desires shall find fulfillment, the seeker of wealth shall gain riches.
विदयारथी लभते विदयां यशो.रथी लभते यशः
vidyārthī labhate vidyāṃ yaśo.arthī labhate yaśaḥ
The seeker of knowledge shall attain wisdom, and the seeker of fame shall achieve glory.
कनयारथी लभते कनयां सुतारथी लभते सुतान
kanyārthī labhate kanyāṃ sutārthī labhate sutān
The one desiring a daughter shall have a daughter, and the one desiring a son shall be blessed with sons.
मूरखो.पि लभते शासत्रं छोरो.पि लभते गतिम
mūrkho.api labhate śāstraṃ choro.api labhate gatim
Even the foolish shall attain scriptures, and the thief shall find his path.
गुरविणी जनयेतपुत्रं कनयां विनदति सतपतिम
gurviṇī janayetputraṃ kanyāṃ vindati satpatim
A teacher shall give birth to a son, and a daughter shall bring forth a noble husband.
संकरानतयां छ छतुरदशयामŚटमयां छ विशेŚतः
saṃkrāntyāṃ cha chaturdaśyāmaŚṭamyāṃ cha viśeŚataḥ
In the month of Sankranti, on the fourteenth day, especially on the full moon night,
पौरणमासयाममावासयां नवमयां भौमवासरे
paurṇamāsyāmamāvāsyāṃ navamyāṃ bhaumavāsare
On the ninth day, during the day of Mars, the auspicious time is revealed.
पठेदवा पाठयेदवापि पूजयेदवापि पुसतकम
paṭhedvā pāṭhayedvāpi pūjayedvāpi pustakam
One who reads or teaches this sacred text, or worships it with devotion, shall find great merit.
स मुकतससरवपापेभयः कामेशवरसमो भवेत
sa muktassarvapāpebhyaḥ kāmeśvarasamo bhavet
Such a person shall be freed from all sins and fears, becoming equal to the Lord of Desire, Kamadeva.
लकŚमीवान सुतवांशछैव वललभससरवयोŚिताम
lakŚmīvān sutavāṃśchaiva vallabhassarvayoŚitām
He who is blessed with wealth and progeny shall also attain the grace of all auspicious beings.
तसय वशयं भवेदाशु त्रैलोकयं सछराछरम
tasya vaśyaṃ bhavedāśu trailokyaṃ sacharācharam
He shall soon gain mastery over the three worlds, both the moving and the unmoving.
विदयानां पारगो विपरः कŚत्रियो विजयी रणे
vidyānāṃ pārago vipraḥ kŚatriyo vijayī raṇe
The learned shall excel in wisdom, and the warrior shall triumph in battle.
वैशयो धनसमृ^िदधससयाछCहूदरससुखमवापनुयात
vaiśyo dhanasamṛ^iddhassyāchChūdrassukhamavāpnuyāt
The merchant shall attain wealth and prosperity, enjoying the sweetest of pleasures.
कŚेत्रे छ बहुससयं सयादगावशछ बहुदुगधदाः
kŚetre cha bahusasyaṃ syādgāvaścha bahudugdhadāḥ
In the fields, he shall reap abundant harvests, and in the forests, he shall gather plentiful fruits.
नाशुभं नापदसतसय न भयं नृ^िपशत्रुतः
nāśubhaṃ nāpadastasya na bhayaṃ nṛ^ipaśatrutaḥ
No evil shall befall him, nor shall he face calamities or fear from enemies.
जायते नाशुभा बुदधिरलभते कुलपूजयताम
jāyate nāśubhā buddhirlabhate kulapūjyatām
He shall not be born into misfortune; wisdom shall be his, and he shall honor his lineage.
न बाधनते गरहासतसय न रकŚांसि न पननगाः
na bādhante grahāstasya na rakŚāṃsi na pannagāḥ
He shall not be troubled by malefic planets, nor by demons or serpents.
न पिशाछा न डाकिनयो भूतभेतालडमभकाः
na piśāchā na ḍākinyo bhūtabhetālaḍambhakāḥ
No spirits, no witches, nor ghostly beings shall disturb him.
बालगरहाभिभूतानां बालानां शानतिकारकम
bālagrahābhibhūtānāṃ bālānāṃ śāntikārakam
For children afflicted by evil forces, this text brings peace and protection.
दवनदवानां परतिभेदे छ मैत्रीकरणमुततमम
dvandvānāṃ pratibhede cha maitrīkaraṇamuttamam
In times of conflict, it fosters friendship and unity among all.
लोहपाशैदृ^िढैरबदधो बनदी वेशमनि दुरगमे
lohapāśaidṛ^iḍhairbaddho bandī veśmani durgame
Bound by iron chains, the one who recites this shall find escape from all difficulties.
तिŚठञCहृ^िणवनपतनमरतयो मुछयते नात्र संशयः
tiŚṭhañChṛ^iṇvanpatanmartyo muchyate nātra saṃśayaḥ
Those who stand firm in devotion shall surely be liberated; there is no doubt in this.
पशयनति नहि ते शोकं वियोगं छिरजीविनः
paśyanti nahi te śokaṃ viyogaṃ chirajīvinaḥ
They shall not suffer sorrow or separation, even in the face of death.
शृ^िणवती बदधगरभा छ सुखं छैव परसूयते
śṛ^iṇvatī baddhagarbhā cha sukhaṃ chaiva prasūyate
Listening to this brings joy and dispels all forms of suffering.
ेकदा पठनादेव सरवपापकŚयो भवेत
ekadā paṭhanādeva sarvapāpakŚayo bhavet
Just by reading it once, one is freed from all sinful actions.
नशयनति छ महारोगा दशधावरतनेन छ
naśyanti cha mahārogā daśadhāvartanena cha
The great diseases shall not afflict him, nor shall he suffer from the tenfold afflictions.
शतधावरतने छैव वाछां सिदधिः परजायते
śatadhāvartane chaiva vāchāṃ siddhiḥ prajāyate
Through the recitation of this text, countless desires shall be fulfilled.
नवरात्रे जिताहारो दृ^िढबुदधिरजितेनदरियः
navarātre jitāhāro dṛ^iḍhabuddhirjitendriyaḥ
In the sacred nine nights, one who conquers hunger, with steadfast intellect, overcomes the senses.
मबिकायतने विदवान शुछिŚमान मूरतिसननिधौ
ambikāyatane vidvān śuchiŚmān mūrtisannidhau
The wise and pure, who worships at the divine abode, finds the presence of the Mother.
ेकाकी छ दशावरतं पठनधीरशछ निरभयः
ekākī cha daśāvartaṃ paṭhandhīraścha nirbhayaḥ
Alone, the steadfast one reads the ten verses, fearless and resolute.
साकŚाततवगवती तसमै परयछCहेदीपसितं फलम
sākŚāttvagavatī tasmai prayachChedīpsitaṃ phalam
To that one, the Goddess herself grants the fruits of devotion, shining like a lamp.
सिदधपीठे गिरौ रमये सिदधकŚेत्रे सुरालये
siddhapīṭhe girau ramye siddhakŚetre surālaye
In the sacred seat upon the mountain, in the divine realm, I find joy.
पठनातसाधकसयाशु सिदधिरभवति वाञCहिता
paṭhanātsādhakasyāśu siddhirbhavati vāñChitā
From the reading of these verses, the seeker swiftly attains the desired goals.
दशावरतं पठेननितयं भूमीशायी नरशशुछिः
daśāvartaṃ paṭhennityaṃ bhūmīśāyī naraśśuchiḥ
One who reads these ten verses daily, the lord of the earth, remains pure.
सवपने मूरतिमयां देवीं वरदां सो.पि पशयति
svapne mūrtimayāṃ devīṃ varadāṃ so.api paśyati
In dreams, the divine form appears, granting boons, even to the humble.
ावरतनसहसरैरये जपनति पुरुŚोततमाः
āvartanasahasrairye japanti puruŚottamāḥ
With the recitation of a thousand verses, one worships the Supreme Person.
ते सिदधा सिदधिदा लोके शापानुगरहणकŚमाः
te siddhā siddhidā loke śāpānugrahaṇakŚamāḥ
They attain success, bestowing blessings in the world, free from curses.
परयछCहनतशछ सरवसवं सेवनते तानमहीशवराः
prayachChantaścha sarvasvaṃ sevante tānmahīśvarāḥ
Those who serve the divine, with all offerings, are revered by the great lords.
भूरजपत्रे.Śटगनधेन लिखितवा तु शुभे दिने
bhūrjapatre.aŚṭagandhena likhitvā tu śubhe dine
On a sacred leaf, inscribed on auspicious days, let it be held with care.
धारयेदयनत्रितं शीरŚे पूजयितवा कुमारिकाम
dhārayedyantritaṃ śīrŚe pūjayitvā kumārikām
With devotion, let the young maidens be worshipped, adorned with grace.
बराहमणान वरनारीशछ धूपैः कुसुमछनदनैः
brāhmaṇān varanārīścha dhūpaiḥ kusumachandanaiḥ
Offering incense and fragrant flowers to the Brahmins and noble ladies.
कŚीरखणडादिभोजयांशछ भोजयितवा सुभकतितः
kŚīrakhaṇḍādibhojyāṃścha bhojayitvā subhaktitaḥ
Feeding the wise with milk and sweets, let the devotees rejoice.
बधननति ये महारकŚां बालानां छ विशेŚतः
badhnanti ye mahārakŚāṃ bālānāṃ cha viśeŚataḥ
Those who bow down to the great ones, especially the children, are blessed.
रुदरं दृ^िŚटवा यथा देवं विŚणुं दृ^िŚटवा छ दानवाः
rudraṃ dṛ^iŚṭvā yathā devaṃ viŚṇuṃ dṛ^iŚṭvā cha dānavāḥ
Seeing Rudra, and then Vishnu, the demons flee in fear.
पननगा गरुडं दृ^िŚटवा सिंहं दृ^िŚटवा यथा गजाः
pannagā garuḍaṃ dṛ^iŚṭvā siṃhaṃ dṛ^iŚṭvā yathā gajāḥ
Seeing Garuda, the serpent retreats; the lion, and the elephants too.
मणडूका भोगिनं दृ^िŚटवा मारजारं मूŚिकासतथा
maṇḍūkā bhoginaṃ dṛ^iŚṭvā mārjāraṃ mūŚikāstathā
The frogs, seeing the snake, and the mice, seeing the cat, flee in terror.
विघनभूताः पलायनते तसय वकत्रविलोकनात
vighnabhūtāḥ palāyante tasya vaktravilokanāt
The obstacles vanish upon the glance of the divine, as the world witnesses her grace.
गनिछोरभयं तसय कदाछिननैव समभवेत
agnichorabhayaṃ tasya kadāchinnaiva sambhavet
Fear not, O child of the Divine, for in every moment, your essence remains untouched.
पातकानविविधानसो.पि मेरुमनदरसननिभान
pātakānvividhānso.api merumandarasannibhān
Though sins may arise in myriad forms, they cannot taint the pure heart that seeks the Divine.
भसमितानकुरुते कŚिपरं तृ^िणं वहनिहुतं यथा
bhasmitānkurute kŚipraṃ tṛ^iṇaṃ vahnihutaṃ yathā
As the fire consumes the dry grass, so too does the Lord swiftly cleanse the soul.
नृ^िपाशछ वशयतां यानति नृ^िपपूजयाशछ ते नराः
nṛ^ipāścha vaśyatāṃ yānti nṛ^ipapūjyāścha te narāḥ
Let the kings of the earth bow before you, for those who honor you shall find their strength.
महारणवे महानदयां पोतसथे छ न भीः कछित
mahārṇave mahānadyāṃ potasthe cha na bhīḥ kachit
In the great battlefield of life, amidst the ocean of compassion, fear shall not touch the devoted.
रणे दयूते विवादे छ विजयं परापनुवनति ते
raṇe dyūte vivāde cha vijayaṃ prāpnuvanti te
In the contests of fate and fortune, victory shall follow those who chant your name.
सरवत्र पूजितो लोकैरबहुमानपुरससरैः
sarvatra pūjito lokairbahumānapurassaraiḥ
Worshipped by all, revered in every realm, your presence brings honor to the devoted.
रतिरागविवृ^िदधाशछ विहवलाः कामपीडिताः
ratirāgavivṛ^iddhāścha vihvalāḥ kāmapīḍitāḥ
In the throes of desire, when passion overwhelms, let love for you be the guiding light.
यौवनाकरानतदेहासतान शरयनते वामलोछनाः
yauvanākrāntadehāstān śrayante vāmalochanāḥ
With youthful grace and tender eyes, they bow in reverence, seeking your embrace.
सहसरं जपते यसतु खेछरी जायते नरः
sahasraṃ japate yastu khecharī jāyate naraḥ
He who chants your thousand names shall rise like the sun, illuminating the world.
सहसरदशकं देवि यः पठेदभकतिमाननरः
sahasradaśakaṃ devi yaḥ paṭhedbhaktimānnaraḥ
O Goddess, he who recites your sacred hymn with devotion shall find true bliss.
सा तसय जगतां धात्री परतयकŚा भवति धरुवम
sā tasya jagatāṃ dhātrī pratyakŚā bhavati dhruvam
You are the nurturer of the universe, the eternal refuge for all beings.
लकŚं पूरणं यदा देवि सतोत्रराजं जपेतसुधीः
lakŚaṃ pūrṇaṃ yadā devi stotrarājaṃ japetsudhīḥ
When the wise chant this royal stotra, their hearts overflow with divine fulfillment.
भवपाशविनिरमुकतो मम तुलयो न संशयः
bhavapāśavinirmukto mama tulyo na saṃśayaḥ
Freed from the bonds of existence, I have no doubt of your grace upon me.
सरवतीरथेŚु यतपुणयं सरवतीरथेŚु यतफलम
sarvatīrtheŚu yatpuṇyaṃ sarvatīrtheŚu yatphalam
In every sacred river, the merit flows; in every holy act, the fruits abound.
सरवधरमेŚु यज्ञेŚु सरवदानेŚु यतफलम
sarvadharmeŚu yajñeŚu sarvadāneŚu yatphalam
In every sacrifice, in every gift given, the blessings multiply beyond measure.
सरववेदेŚु परोकतेŚु यतफलं परिकीरतितम
sarvavedeŚu prokteŚu yatphalaṃ parikīrtitam
In all the Vedas, in every sacred text, the fruits of devotion are celebrated.
ततपुणयं कोटिगुणितं सकृ^िजजपतवा लभेननरः
tatpuṇyaṃ koṭiguṇitaṃ sakṛ^ijjaptvā labhennaraḥ
The merit gained is multiplied countless times; those who chant shall surely attain it.
देहानते परमं सथानं यतसुरैरपि दुरलभम
dehānte paramaṃ sthānaṃ yatsurairapi durlabham
In the surrender of the body, the highest abode is found, a realm rare even for the gods.
स यासयति न सनदेहससतवराजसय कीरतनात
sa yāsyati na sandehasstavarājasya kīrtanāt
He who sings your praises shall find the path to liberation, free from the shackles of worldly existence.
िति रुदरयामले शरीननपूरणासहसरनामसतोत्रं समपूरणम
iti rudrayāmale śrīannapūrṇāsahasranāmastotraṃ sampūrṇam
Thus, in the sacred Rudrayamala, is the complete stotra of the thousand names of Shri Annapurna.
