दशमहाविद्या स्तोत्राणि
īśvara uvāca – ōṁ dhūmāvatī dhūmravarṇā dhūmrapānaparāyaṇā
Oṁ Dhūmāvatī, of smoky color, devoted to the consumption of smoke,
ईश्वर उवाच –
dhūmrākṣamathinī dhanyā dhanyasthānanivāsinī
With smoky eyes, the one who is blessed, residing in a fortunate place,
ओं धूमावती धूम्रवर्णा धूम्रपानपरायणा । धूम्राक्षमथिनी धन्या धन्यस्थाननिवासिनी ॥ १ ॥
aghōrācārasantuṣṭā aghōrācāramaṇḍitā
Content with the conduct of the fierce, adorned with fierce conduct,
अघोराचारसन्तुष्टा अघोराचारमण्डिता । अघोरमन्त्रसम्प्रीता अघोरमन्त्रपूजिता ॥ २ ॥
aghōramantrasamprītā aghōramantrapūjitā
Delighted by fierce mantras, worshipped by fierce mantras,
अट्टाट्टहासनिरता मलिनाम्बरधारिणी । वृद्धा विरूपा विधवा विद्या च विरलद्विजा ॥ ३ ॥
aṭṭāṭṭahāsaniratā malināmbaradhāriṇī
Engaged in loud laughter, wearing tattered garments,
प्रवृद्धघोणा कुमुखी कुटिला कुटिलेक्षणा । कराली च करालास्या कङ्काली शूर्पधारिणी ॥ ४ ॥
vr̥ddhā virūpā vidhavā vidyā ca viraladvijā
Old, deformed, a widow, and the knowledge of the rare birds,
काकध्वजरथारूढा केवला कठिना कुहूः । क्षुत्पिपासार्दिता नित्या ललज्जिह्वा दिगम्बरी ॥ ५ ॥
pravr̥ddhaghōṇā kumukhī kuṭilā kuṭilēkṣaṇā
With a loud cry, a crooked-faced one, with a crooked gaze,
दीर्घोदरी दीर्घरवा दीर्घाङ्गी दीर्घमस्तका । विमुक्तकुन्तला कीर्त्या कैलासस्थानवासिनी ॥ ६ ॥
karālī ca karālāsyā kaṅkālī śūrpadhāriṇī
Fierce and with a terrifying mouth, the one who holds a winnowing basket,
क्रूरा कालस्वरूपा च कालचक्रप्रवर्तिनी । विवर्णा चञ्चला दुष्टा दुष्टविध्वंसकारिणी ॥ ७ ॥
kākadhvajarathārūḍhā kēvalā kaṭhinā kuhūḥ
Riding on a crow's flag chariot, alone and very strong,
चण्डी चण्डस्वरूपा च चामुण्डा चण्डनिःस्वना । चण्डवेगा चण्डगतिश्चण्डमुण्डविनाशिनी ॥ ८ ॥
kṣutpipāsārditā nityā lalajjihvā digambarī
Afflicted by hunger and thirst, eternal, with a shy tongue, naked,
चाण्डालिनी चित्ररेखा चित्राङ्गी चित्ररूपिणी । कृष्णा कपर्दिनी कुल्ला कृष्णारूपा क्रियावती ॥ ९ ॥
dīrghōdarī dīrgharavā dīrghāṅgī dīrghamastakā
With a long belly, long sound, long limbs, and a long head,
कुम्भस्तनी महोन्मत्ता मदिरापानविह्वला । चतुर्भुजा ललज्जिह्वा शत्रुसंहारकारिणी ॥ १० ॥
vimuktakuntalā kīrtyā kailāsasthānavāsinī
With liberated locks, praised, residing in Kailasa,
शवारूढा शवगता श्मशानस्थानवासिनी । दुराराध्या दुराचारा दुर्जनप्रीतिदायिनी ॥ ११ ॥
krūrā kālasvarūpā ca kālacakrapravartinī
Cruel, the embodiment of time, the initiator of the wheel of time,
निर्मांसा च निराकारा धूमहस्ता वरान्विता । कलहा च कलिप्रीता कलिकल्मषनाशिनी ॥ १२ ॥
vivarṇā cañcalā duṣṭā duṣṭavidhvaṁsakāriṇī
Faded, restless, wicked, the destroyer of wickedness.
महाकालस्वरूपा च महाकालप्रपूजिता । महादेवप्रिया मेधा महासङ्कटनाशिनी ॥ १३ ॥
caṇḍī caṇḍasvarūpā ca cāmuṇḍā caṇḍaniḥsvanā
The fierce one, the embodiment of fierceness, the Chāmuṇḍā, with a fierce sound.
भक्तप्रिया भक्तगतिर्भक्तशत्रुविनाशिनी । भैरवी भुवना भीमा भारती भुवनात्मिका ॥ १४ ॥
caṇḍavēgā caṇḍagatiścaṇḍamuṇḍavināśinī
The fierce and swift, the one with a fierce gait, the destroyer of the fierce-headed.
भेरुण्डा भीमनयना त्रिनेत्रा बहुरूपिणी । त्रिलोकेशी त्रिकालज्ञा त्रिस्वरूपा त्रयीतनुः ॥ १५ ॥
cāṇḍālinī citrarēkhā citrāṅgī citrarūpiṇī
The one who is a Chandala, with colorful lines, with a beautiful form, and colorful in appearance.
त्रिमूर्तिश्च तथा तन्वी त्रिशक्तिश्च त्रिशूलिनी । इति धूमामहत् स्तोत्रं नाम्नामष्टशतात्मकम् ॥ १६ ॥
kr̥ṣṇā kapardinī kullā kr̥ṣṇārūpā kriyāvatī
The black one, with matted hair, the one with a black form, and full of action.
मया ते कथितं देवि शत्रुसङ्घविनाशनम् । कारागारे रिपुग्रस्ते महोत्पाते महाभये ॥ १७ ॥
kumbhastanī mahōnmattā madirāpānavihvalā
The one with a pot-like bosom, immensely intoxicated, and bewildered by the drinking of wine.
इदं स्तोत्रं पठेन्मर्त्यो मुच्यते सर्वसङ्कटैः । गुह्याद्गुह्यतरं गुह्यं गोपनीयं प्रयत्नतः ॥ १८ ॥
caturbhujā lalajjihvā śatrusaṁhārakāriṇī
The one with four arms, with a charming tongue, the one who destroys enemies.
चतुष्पदार्थदं नॄणां सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायकम् ॥ १९ ॥
śavārūḍhā śavagatā śmaśānasthānavāsinī
Seated on a corpse, the one who rides the dead, residing in the cremation ground.
इति श्रीधूमावत्यष्टोत्तरशतनामस्तोत्रम् ।
durārādhyā durācārā durjanaprītidāyinī
Difficult to worship, with bad conduct, the giver of pleasure to wicked people.
दशमहाविद्या स्तोत्राणि
nirmāṁsā ca nirākārā dhūmahastā varānvitā
Without flesh and formless, with a smoky hand, endowed with boons.
Dasa Mahavidya - दशमहाविद्या
kalahā ca kaliprītā kalikalmaṣanāśinī
The one who creates quarrels, pleased with strife, the destroyer of the impurities of the age.
