Sri Ganapathi Stava
The stotra praises Ganesha's qualities and seeks his blessings for prosperity and success.
श्री गणेश स्तोत्राणि
brahmaviṣṇumahēśā ūcuḥ
I bow to Lord Ganesha, the essence of all mantras, the hymn of Lord Ganapati.
ब्रह्मविष्णुमहेशा ऊचुः ।
ajaṁ nirvikalpaṁ nirākāramēkaṁ nirānandamadvaitamānandapūrṇam
Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesha spoke.
अजं निर्विकल्पं निराकारमेकं
paraṁ nirguṇaṁ nirviśēṣaṁ nirīhaṁ parabrahmarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ bhajēma
I worship the unborn, the undifferentiated, the formless one,
निरानन्दमद्वैतमानन्दपूर्णम् ।
guṇātītamādyaṁ cidānandarūpaṁ cidābhāsakaṁ sarvagaṁ jñānagamyam
the blissful, non-dual, and complete being.
परं निर्गुणं निर्विशेषं निरीहं
munidhyēyamākāśarūpaṁ parēśaṁ parabrahmarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ bhajēma
I worship Ganesha, the supreme, attributeless, and unconditioned Brahman.
परब्रह्मरूपं गणेशं भजेम ॥ १ ॥
jagatkāraṇaṁ kāraṇajñānarūpaṁ surādiṁ sukhādiṁ yugādiṁ gaṇēśam
I worship Ganesha, the primordial, beyond qualities, the embodiment of consciousness and bliss.
गुणातीतमाद्यं चिदानन्दरूपं
jagadvyāpinaṁ viśvavandyaṁ surēśaṁ parabrahmarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ bhajēma
He is the essence of consciousness, all-pervading, attainable through knowledge.
चिदाभासकं सर्वगं ज्ञानगम्यम् ।
rajōyōgatō brahmarūpaṁ śrutijñaṁ sadā kāryasaktaṁ hr̥dācintyarūpam
He is the meditative form of the sage, the embodiment of space, the Supreme Lord.
मुनिध्येयमाकाशरूपं परेशं
jagatkārakaṁ sarvavidyānidhānaṁ parabrahmarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ natāsmaḥ
I worship Ganesha, the cause of the universe, the embodiment of knowledge.
परब्रह्मरूपं गणेशं भजेम ॥ २ ॥
sadā sattvayōgaṁ mudā krīḍamānaṁ surārīnharantaṁ jagatpālayantam
He is the source of happiness, the beginning of all ages, Ganesha.
जगत्कारणं कारणज्ञानरूपं
anēkāvatāraṁ nijajñānahāraṁ sadā viṣṇurūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ namāmaḥ
He is the all-pervading, universally revered, and divine Lord.
सुरादिं सुखादिं युगादिं गणेशम् ।
tamōyōginaṁ rudrarūpaṁ trinētraṁ jagaddhārakaṁ tārakaṁ jñānahētum
I worship Ganesha, the form of the supreme Brahman, who is beyond the three gunas.
जगद्व्यापिनं विश्ववन्द्यं सुरेशं
anēkāgamaiḥ svaṁ janaṁ bōdhayantaṁ sadā śarvarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ namāmaḥ
Always engaged in action, he is the form that cannot be conceived by the heart.
परब्रह्मरूपं गणेशं भजेम ॥ ३ ॥
tamastōmahāraṁ janājñānahāraṁ trayīvēdasāraṁ parabrahmapāram
He is the creator of the universe, the treasure of all knowledge.
रजोयोगतो ब्रह्मरूपं श्रुतिज्ञं
munijñānakāraṁ vidūrēvikāraṁ sadā brahmarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ namāmaḥ
We bow to Ganesha, the embodiment of the supreme Brahman.
सदा कार्यसक्तं हृदाचिन्त्यरूपम् ।
nijairōṣadhīstarpayantaṁ karōdyaiḥ saraughānkalābhiḥ sudhāsrāviṇībhiḥ
Always in union with goodness, he plays joyfully,
जगत्कारकं सर्वविद्यानिधानं
dinēśāṁśu santāpahāraṁ dvijēśaṁ śaśāṅkasvarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ namāmaḥ
destroying the enemies of the gods and protecting the world.
परब्रह्मरूपं गणेशं नतास्मः ॥ ४ ॥
prakāśasvarūpaṁ nabhōvāyurūpaṁ vikārādihētuṁ kalākālabhūtam
He has many incarnations, bestowing knowledge upon his devotees.
सदा सत्त्वयोगं मुदा क्रीडमानं
anēkakriyānēkaśaktisvarūpaṁ sadā śaktirūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ namāmaḥ
We bow to Ganesha, who is always in the form of Vishnu.
सुरारीन्हरन्तं जगत्पालयन्तम् ।
pradhānasvarūpaṁ mahattattvarūpaṁ dharāvārirūpaṁ digīśādirūpam
He is the one who dispels darkness, the three-eyed one,
अनेकावतारं निजज्ञानहारं
asatsatsvarūpaṁ jagaddhētubhūtaṁ sadā viśvarūpaṁ gaṇēśaṁ natāsmaḥ
the sustainer of the universe, the liberator, the cause of knowledge.
सदा विष्णुरूपं गणेशं नमामः ॥ ५ ॥
tvadīyē manaḥ sthāpayēdaṅghriyugmē janō vighnasaṅghānna pīḍāṁ labhēta
He enlightens his own people through numerous scriptures.
तमोयोगिनं रुद्ररूपं त्रिनेत्रं
lasatsūryabimbē viśālē sthitō:'yaṁ janōdhvānta pīḍāṁ kathaṁ vā labhēta
We bow to Ganesha, who is always in the form of night.
जगद्धारकं तारकं ज्ञानहेतुम् ।
vayaṁ bhrāmitāḥ sarvathā:'jñānayōgā- -dalabdhā tavāṅghriṁ bahūnvarṣapūgān
He is the great dispeller of darkness, the bestower of knowledge to the people.
अनेकागमैः स्वं जनं बोधयन्तं
idānīmavāptāstavaiva prasādā- -tprapannānsadā pāhi viśvambharādya
He is the essence of the three Vedas, the supreme Brahman.
सदा शर्वरूपं गणेशं नमामः ॥ ६ ॥
gaṇēśa uvāca
He is the source of the knowledge of the sages, unchangeable and distant.
तमस्तोमहारं जनाज्ञानहारं
idaṁ yaḥ paṭhētprātarutthāya dhīmān trisandhyaṁ sadā bhaktiyuktō viśuddhaḥ
We bow to Ganesha, who is always in the form of Brahman.
त्रयीवेदसारं परब्रह्मपारम् ।
saputrān śriyaṁ sarvakāmān labhēta parabrahmarūpō bhavēdantakālē
I bow to Ganesh, who fulfills the desires of those who worship him with herbs and fruits,
मुनिज्ञानकारं विदूरेविकारं
iti gaṇēśapurāṇē upāsanākhaṇḍē trayōdaśō:'dhyāyē śrīgaṇapatistavaḥ
Who showers nectar-like blessings through the arts and skills,
