Sri Surya Nama Varnana Stotram (Bhavishya Purane)
The stotram elaborates on the various names of Surya, celebrating his attributes and powers, and encouraging devotees to chant them for divine blessings.
श्री सूर्य स्तोत्राणि
brahmōvāca
The god who is praised by names is the one who is satisfied by the sun.
ब्रह्मोवाच ।
nāmabhiḥ saṁstutō dēvō yairarkaḥ parituṣyati
I will sing those names in accordance with the tradition.
नामभिः संस्तुतो देवो यैरर्कः परितुष्यति । तानि ते कीर्तयाम्येष यथावदनुपूर्वशः ॥ १ ॥
tāni tē kīrtayāmyēṣa yathāvadanupūrvaśaḥ
Salutations to the eternal Sun, the source of all activity.
नमः सूर्याय नित्याय रवये कार्यभानवे । भास्कराय मतङ्गाय मार्तण्डाय विवस्वते ॥ २ ॥
namaḥ sūryāya nityāya ravayē kāryabhānavē
Salutations to Bhaskara, the Matanga, the Martanda, and the Vivasvat.
आदित्यायादिदेवाय नमस्ते रश्मिमालिने । दिवाकराय दीप्ताय अग्नये मिहिराय च ॥ ३ ॥
bhāskarāya mataṅgāya mārtaṇḍāya vivasvatē
Salutations to Aditya, the original god, and to you, O one adorned with rays.
प्रभाकराय मित्राय नमस्तेऽदितिसम्भव । नमो गोपतये नित्यं दिशां च पतये नमः ॥ ४ ॥
ādityāyādidēvāya namastē raśmimālinē
Salutations to the Daymaker, the Radiant, to Agni, and to Mihira.
नमो धात्रे विधात्रे च अर्यम्णे वरुणाय च । पूष्णे भगाय मित्राय पर्जन्यायांशवे नमः ॥ ५ ॥
divākarāya dīptāya agnayē mihirāya ca
Salutations to Prabhakara, the Friend, born of Diti.
नमो हितकृते नित्यं धर्माय तपनाय च । हरये हरिताश्वाय विश्वस्य पतये नमः ॥ ६ ॥
prabhākarāya mitrāya namastē:'ditisambhava
Salutations to the eternal protector of the cows and to the lord of directions.
विष्णवे ब्रह्मणे नित्यं त्र्यम्बकाय तथात्मने । नमस्ते सप्तलोकेश नमस्ते सप्तसप्तये ॥ ७ ॥
namō gōpatayē nityaṁ diśāṁ ca patayē namaḥ
Salutations to the Creator and the Sustainer, to Aryaman and Varuna.
एकस्मै हि नमस्तुभ्यमेकचक्ररथाय च । ज्योतिषां पतये नित्यं सर्वप्राणभृते नमः ॥ ८ ॥
namō dhātrē vidhātrē ca aryamṇē varuṇāya ca
Salutations to Pushtana, the Blessed, to Mitra, and to the Rain.
हिताय सर्वभूतानां शिवायार्तिहराय च । नमः पद्मप्रबोधाय नमो द्वादशमूर्तये ॥ ९ ॥ [वेदादिमूर्तये]
pūṣṇē bhagāya mitrāya parjanyāyāṁśavē namaḥ
Salutations to the Benefactor, the eternal Dharma, and to the Sun.
कविजाय नमस्तुभ्यं नमस्तारासुताय च । भीमजाय नमस्तुभ्यं पावकाय च वै नमः ॥ १० ॥
namō hitakr̥tē nityaṁ dharmāya tapanāya ca
Salutations to the Harer, the one with green horses, the lord of the universe.
धिषणाय नमो नित्यं नमः कृष्णाय नित्यदा । नमोऽस्त्वदितिपुत्राय नमो लक्ष्याय नित्यशः ॥ ११ ॥
harayē haritāśvāya viśvasya patayē namaḥ
Salutations to Vishnu, to Brahma, to the three-eyed one, and to the Self.
एतान्यादित्यनामानि मया प्रोक्तानि वै पुरा । आराधनाय देवस्य सर्वकामेन सुव्रत ॥ १२ ॥
viṣṇavē brahmaṇē nityaṁ tryambakāya tathātmanē
Salutations to you, O Lord of the Seven Worlds, and to you, O Lord of the Seven Sevens.
सायं प्रातः शुचिर्भूत्वा यः पठेत्सुसमाहितः । स प्राप्नोत्यखिलान् कामान् यथाहं प्राप्तवान् पुरा ॥ १३ ॥
namastē saptalōkēśa namastē saptasaptayē
Salutations to you, the one with a single wheel and chariot,
प्रसादात्तस्य देवस्य भास्करस्य महात्मनः । श्रीकामः श्रियमाप्नोति धर्मार्थी धर्ममाप्नुयात् ॥ १४ ॥
ēkasmai hi namastubhyamēkacakrarathāya ca
Salutations to the lord of the stars, always, to the one who sustains all beings.
आतुरो मुच्यते रोगाद्बद्धो मुच्येत बन्धनात् । राज्यार्थी राज्यमाप्नोति कामार्थी काममाप्नुयात् ॥ १५ ॥
jyōtiṣāṁ patayē nityaṁ sarvaprāṇabhr̥tē namaḥ
Salutations for the welfare of all creatures, to Shiva, the remover of distress.
एतज्जप्यं रहस्यं च सन्ध्योपासनमेव च । एतेन जपमात्रेण नरः पापात् प्रमुच्यते ॥ १६ ॥
hitāya sarvabhūtānāṁ śivāyārtiharāya ca
Salutations to the one who awakens the lotus, salutations to the twelve forms.
इति श्रीभविष्यमहापुराणे ब्राह्मे पर्वणि सप्तमीकल्पे ब्रह्मप्रोक्त सूर्य नाम वर्णनं नामैकसप्ततितमोऽध्यायः ॥
namaḥ padmaprabōdhāya namō dvādaśamūrtayē
Salutations to the embodiment of the Vedas,
श्री सूर्य स्तोत्राणि
[vēdādimūrtayē] kavijāya namastubhyaṁ namastārāsutāya ca
Salutations to the poet, salutations to the son of the stars.
नवग्रह स्तोत्राणि
bhīmajāya namastubhyaṁ pāvakāya ca vai namaḥ
Salutations to Bhima, salutations to the purifying fire.
Surya - सूर्य
dhiṣaṇāya namō nityaṁ namaḥ kr̥ṣṇāya nityadā
Salutations to the eternal, always, salutations to Krishna, forever.
Sri Suryarya Stotram (Yajnavalkya Krutham) – श्री सूर्यार्या स्तोत्रम् (याज्ञवल्क्य कृतम्)
namō:'stvaditiputrāya namō lakṣyāya nityaśaḥ
Salutations to the son of the sun, salutations to the target, always.
Sri Surya Pratah Smarana Stotram – श्री सूर्य प्रातः स्मरण स्तोत्रम्
ētānyādityanāmāni mayā prōktāni vai purā
