Sri Surya Stotram 2 (Deva Krutham)
The stotra consists of verses that glorify Surya, invoking his blessings for prosperity and well-being.
श्री सूर्य स्तोत्राणि
dēvā ūcuḥ
Salutations to you, who take the form of the sun, I bow to you.
देवा ऊचुः ।
namastē r̥ksvarūpāya sāmarūpāya tē namaḥ
Salutations to you, who embody the essence of the Yajurveda, I bow to you.
नमस्ते ऋक्स्वरूपाय सामरूपाय ते नमः । यजुः स्वरूपरूपाय साम्नां धामवते नमः ॥ १ ॥
yajuḥ svarūparūpāya sāmnāṁ dhāmavatē namaḥ
Salutations to you, who are the abode of knowledge, I bow to you, who dispel the deepest darkness.
ज्ञानैकधामभूताय निर्धूततमसे नमः । शुद्धज्योतिः स्वरूपाय विशुद्धायामलात्मने ॥ २ ॥
jñānaikadhāmabhūtāya nirdhūtatamasē namaḥ
Salutations to you, who are the pure light, I bow to you, who are the essence of the immaculate soul.
चक्रिणे शङ्खिने धाम्ने शार्ङ्गिणे पद्मिने नमः । वरिष्ठाय वरेण्याय परस्मै परमात्मने ॥ ३ ॥
śuddhajyōtiḥ svarūpāya viśuddhāyāmalātmanē
Salutations to you, who wield the discus, who hold the conch, who are the abode of the bow, and who are the lotus-born.
नमोऽखिलजगद्व्यापिस्वरूपायात्ममूर्तये । सर्वकारणभूताय निष्ठायै ज्ञानचेतसाम् ॥ ४ ॥
cakriṇē śaṅkhinē dhāmnē śārṅgiṇē padminē namaḥ
Salutations to you, the most excellent and revered, the Supreme Soul.
नमः सूर्यस्वरूपाय प्रकाशात्मस्वरूपिणे । भास्कराय नमस्तुभ्यं तथा दिनकृते नमः ॥ ५ ॥
variṣṭhāya varēṇyāya parasmai paramātmanē
Salutations to you, who pervade the entire universe, the embodiment of the self.
शर्वरीहेतवे चैव सन्ध्याज्योत्स्नाकृते नमः । त्वं सर्वमेतद्भगवन् जगदुद्भ्रमता त्वया ॥ ६ ॥
namō:'khilajagadvyāpisvarūpāyātmamūrtayē
Salutations to you, who are the cause of all causes, the steadfastness of the knowledge-consciousness.
भ्रमत्या विद्धमखिलं ब्रह्माण्डं सचराचरम् । त्वदंशुभिरिदं स्पृष्टं सर्वं सञ्जायते शुचिः ॥ ७ ॥
sarvakāraṇabhūtāya niṣṭhāyai jñānacētasām
Salutations to you, who embody the essence of the sun, the one who is the light of the soul.
क्रियते त्वत्करैः स्पर्शाज्जलादीनां पवित्रता । होमदानादिको धर्मो नोपकाराय जायते ॥ ८ ॥
namaḥ sūryasvarūpāya prakāśātmasvarūpiṇē
Salutations to you, O Bhaskara, and also to you, O creator of the day.
तावद्यावन्न सम्योगि जगदेतत् त्वदंशुभिः । ऋचस्ते सकला ह्येता यजूंष्येतानि चान्यतः ॥ ९ ॥
bhāskarāya namastubhyaṁ tathā dinakr̥tē namaḥ
Salutations to you, the cause of the night, and to you, who create the twilight and moonlight.
सकलानि च सामानि निपतन्ति त्वदङ्गतः । ऋङ्मयस्त्वं जगन्नाथ त्वमेव च यजुर्मयः ॥ १० ॥
śarvarīhētavē caiva sandhyājyōtsnākr̥tē namaḥ
You are all this, O Lord, by you, the entire universe is in motion.
यतः साममयश्चैव ततो नाथ त्रयीमयः । त्वमेव ब्रह्मणो रूपं परं चापरमेव च ॥ ११ ॥
tvaṁ sarvamētadbhagavan jagadudbhramatā tvayā
By your rays, everything touched becomes pure.
मूर्तामूर्तस्तथा सूक्ष्मः स्थूलरूपस्तथा स्थितः । निमेषकाष्ठादिमयः कालरूपः क्षयात्मकः ।
bhramatyā viddhamakhilaṁ brahmāṇḍaṁ sacarācaram
By your touch, the purity of water and other elements is created.
प्रसीद स्वेच्छया रूपं स्वतेजः शमनं कुरु ॥ १२ ॥
tvadaṁśubhiridaṁ spr̥ṣṭaṁ sarvaṁ sañjāyatē śuciḥ
The righteousness born from offerings and sacrifices is not for personal gain.
इदं स्तोत्रवरं रम्यं श्रोतव्यं श्रद्धया नरैः ।
kriyatē tvatkaraiḥ sparśājjalādīnāṁ pavitratā
As long as this world is not united with your rays,
शिष्यो भूत्वा समाधिस्थो दत्त्वा देयं गुरोरपि ॥ १३ ॥
hōmadānādikō dharmō nōpakārāya jāyatē
All these beings are indeed dependent on you.
इति श्रीमार्कण्डेयपुराणे पञ्चसप्ततितमोऽध्याये देव कृत श्री सूर्य स्तोत्रम् ।
tāvadyāvanna samyōgi jagadētat tvadaṁśubhiḥ
All hymns and chants fall under your domain.
श्री सूर्य स्तोत्राणि
r̥castē sakalā hyētā yajūṁṣyētāni cānyataḥ
You are the Lord of the universe, and you are also the essence of the Vedas.
नवग्रह स्तोत्राणि
sakalāni ca sāmāni nipatanti tvadaṅgataḥ
From you arises the harmony of all things, and thus, O Lord, you embody the essence of the three Vedas.
Surya - सूर्य
r̥ṅmayastvaṁ jagannātha tvamēva ca yajurmayaḥ
You are the supreme form of Brahman, both the manifest and the unmanifest.
Sri Aditya Stotram 2 (Bhavishya Purane) – श्री आदित्य स्तोत्रम् – २ (भविष्यपुराणे)
yataḥ sāmamayaścaiva tatō nātha trayīmayaḥ
You are both the subtle and the gross forms, existing in various states.
Trideva Kruta Ravi Stuti – श्री रवि स्तुतिः (त्रिदेव कृतम्)
tvamēva brahmaṇō rūpaṁ paraṁ cāparamēva ca
You are the embodiment of time, consisting of moments and epochs, and you are the essence of destruction.
