After performing the preliminary rites,
देशकालौ संकीर्त्य

Controlling the breath,
गणपति पूजां कृत्वा
gaṇapati pūjāṁ kr̥tvā
Reciting the names of the place,
संकल्पः – पूर्वोक्त एवं गुणविशेषण विशिष्टायां शुभतिथौ श्रुति स्मृति पुराणोक्त फलप्राप्त्यर्थं श्रीसवितृसूर्यनारायण प्रीत्यर्थं भविष्योत्तरपुराणोक्त तृचार्घ्य पूर्वक प्रसन्नार्घ्यप्रदानानि च करिष्ये
saṁkalpaḥ – pūrvōkta ēvaṁ guṇaviśēṣaṇa viśiṣṭāyāṁ śubhatithau śruti smr̥ti purāṇōkta phalaprāptyarthaṁ śrīsavitr̥sūryanārāyaṇa prītyarthaṁ bhaviṣyōttarapurāṇōkta tr̥cārghya pūrvaka prasannārghyapradānāni ca kariṣyē
Having performed the worship of Ganapati,
ध्यानम् – ध्येयः सदा सवितृमंडलमध्यवर्ती नारायणः सरसिजासनसन्निविष्टः
dhyānam – dhyēyaḥ sadā savitr̥maṁḍalamadhyavartī nārāyaṇaḥ sarasijāsanasanniviṣṭaḥ
The intention is -
केयूरवान् मकरकुंडलवान् किरीटी हारी हिरण्मयवपुर्धृतशंखचक्रः
kēyūravān makarakuṁḍalavān kirīṭī hārī hiraṇmayavapurdhr̥taśaṁkhacakraḥ
On this auspicious day, as mentioned in the scriptures, for the attainment of the desired results,

For the pleasure of Lord Savitr and Sun Narayana,
ओं ह्रां उद्यन्नद्य मित्रमहः ह्रां ओं

As stated in the Bhavishyottara Purana,
मित्राय नमः

I will perform the offering of water along with the prescribed offerings.

Salutations to the sun, the radiant one, the bird, the nourisher, the golden womb, the light, the sun, the giver of life, and the sun god.

सह नौ भुनक्तु

May the divine energy of the gods flow towards us, bringing prosperity and abundance.
सह वीर्यं करवावहै
sa̲ha vī̲ryáṁ karavāvahai
May we not be deprived of wealth; may the blessings of Rudra protect us.
तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै
tē̲ja̲svinā̲vadhī́tamastu̲ mā vídviṣā̲vahaì
May we be endowed with strength and abundance in this life.

Oṁ, Agni, come here; we sing your praises, O giver of offerings.

नृषद्वरसदृतसद्व्योमसदब्जा गोजा ऋतजा अद्रिजा ऋतम्

Om, the divine being who is the source of knowledge is carried by the celestial beings.

The one who is the essence of the earth, the one who is the essence of the sky, the one who is the essence of the waters, the one who is the essence of truth, the one who is the essence of the mountains, the one who is the essence of righteousness.
सत्यं वै तद्रसमापो ज्योती रसो:'मृतं ब्रह्म भूर्भुवस्सुवरोम्

Here, in this mandala, the hymns are offered; those who perform sacrifices are in this mandala; this is the knowledge of the three Vedas, which shines; indeed, the golden person is the one who is the essence of the sun.

tannáḥ sūryaḥ pracō̲dayā̀t

ōṁ ha̲ṁsa̲ ha̲ṁsāyá vi̲dmahḗ paramaha̲ṁsāyá dhīmahi
You are the truth, the friend, the wind, the sky, the life, the protector of the world; who is there, what is there, that is the truth, the immortal.
तन्नो हंसः प्रचोदयात्
tannṓ haṁsaḥ pracō̲dayā̀t
The living being is the universe; who is the self-born Brahman? This is the immortal, this person is the lord of all beings, the one who attains unity with Brahman, the one who attains the same world.
