परथमं दशकम (ारयावृ^िततम) फुललतवं रविदीधितिनिरपेकŚमुमामुखयाबजसय
prathamaṃ daśakam (āryāvṛ^ittam) phullatvaṃ ravidīdhitinirapekŚamumāmukhyābjasya
In the first, I sing of the radiant Uma, the divine mother, whose face shines like the sun, a beacon of grace.
पूरणं करोतु मानसमभिलाŚं पुणयभूमिजुŚाम
pūrṇaṃ karotu mānasamabhilāŚaṃ puṇyabhūmijuŚām
May she fulfill the desires of the heart, the sacred land of virtue, bestowing blessings upon all.
कैलासवासिनी वा धवलदयुतिबिमबनिलया वा
kailāsavāsinī vā dhavaladyutibimbanilayā vā
Dwelling in Kailasa, adorned with the brilliance of white light, or residing in the celestial abode, O Goddess, you are ever present.
ाकाशानतरपीठसथितोत मे देवता भवति
ākāśāntarapīṭhasthitota me devatā bhavati
In the heavenly realms, you sit upon your throne, a divine presence, guiding us with your grace.
ाकाशानतरपीठसथितैव साकŚातपराशकतिः
ākāśāntarapīṭhasthitaiva sākŚātparāśaktiḥ
In the celestial sphere, you manifest as the supreme Shakti, the essence of power and strength.
तसया ंशवयकती शशिनि सितादरौ छ राजनतयौ
tasyā aṃśavyaktī śaśini sitādrau cha rājantyau
With your moon-like complexion, you are the embodiment of beauty, O Goddess, shining with the brilliance of the stars.
सङकलपवातसङगादाननदरसो घनीभूतः
saṅkalpavātasaṅgādānandaraso ghanībhūtaḥ
From the gathering of thoughts, you arise, a confluence of divine energy, manifesting in the world.
नतरवयापकशकतेः समपदयत ते वपुरमातः
antarvyāpakaśakteḥ samapadyata te vapurmātaḥ
In your vastness, O Mother, you encompass all, your form is the essence of the universe.
िछCहाविछित्रवीरयाततेजःपटलो घनीभूतः
ichChāvichitravīryāttejaḥpaṭalo ghanībhūtaḥ
With your unique and wondrous radiance, you illuminate the cosmos, a tapestry of divine light.
नतरवयापकशकतेः समपदयत ते विभोरगात्रम
antarvyāpakaśakteḥ samapadyata te vibhorgātram
In your vastness, O Mother, your glorious body is the embodiment of the universe's essence.
िछCहायोगाततेजसि तव भागः कशछिदसतीशे
ichChāyogāttejasi tava bhāgaḥ kaśchidastīśe
Through the union of yoga, your essence shines forth, revealing the divine nature of existence.
विज्ञानयोगतो मुदि भागयसतवयि कशछिदीशसय
vijñānayogato mudi bhāgyastvayi kaśchidīśasya
In the realm of knowledge and wisdom, your essence is the source of bliss, O Goddess.
समराजौ शशभृ^िति यौ गृ^िहवनतौ यौ छ सितगिरिणा
samrājau śaśabhṛ^iti yau gṛ^ihavantau yau cha sitagiriṇā
In the realm of the moon, you shine brightly, a beacon of light in the abode of the mountains.
तदिदं युवयोरमाया वेŚानतरमिथुनयुगलमुमे
tadidaṃ yuvayormāyā veŚāntaramithunayugalamume
This is the union of you two, O divine couple, a celestial pair, embodying the essence of love.
यदयपि विभूतिरधिकं युवयोरविशवामबिके भवति
yadyapi vibhūtiradhikaṃ yuvayorviśvāmbike bhavati
Even if your glory surpasses all, O Divine Mother, you remain the essence of the universe.
मिथुने तथापयमू वां नेदिŚठे देवि पशयामः
mithune tathāpyamū vāṃ nediŚṭhe devi paśyāmaḥ
In this union, we do not see, O Goddess, the divine play of creation.
दमपतयोरभगवति वां परतिबिमबौ भासकरे भवतः
dampatyorbhagavati vāṃ pratibimbau bhāskare bhavataḥ
O Goddess, in the union of the divine couple, your brilliance shines forth, illuminating the path.
देहे भुवः परतिबिमबः पराणनमूलसय नेदीयान
dehe bhuvaḥ pratibimbaḥ prāṇanmūlasya nedīyān
In the body of the earth, you are the reflection of life, the root of existence, O Divine Mother.
परतिबिमबवयकततेशछ सवपनवयकततिशछ नेदिŚठा
pratibimbavyaktteścha svapnavyakttiścha nediŚṭhā
In your reflection, O Goddess, the essence of life is revealed, a manifestation of the divine play.
दवितीयं दशकम (वसनततिलकावृ^िततम) काशमीरमुननतपयोधरकुमभसीमनि सरिगधं परदिगधमुमया शरणं ममासतु
dvitīyaṃ daśakam (vasantatilakāvṛ^ittam) kāśmīramunnatapayodharakumbhasīmni srigdhaṃ pradigdhamumayā śaraṇaṃ mamāstu
O Mother, may I find refuge in you, who are adorned with the beauty of the Kashmir sage, and whose form is like the sacred mountain, the abode of the divine.
भेतता पुरामुपरि भसमन ेव धतते रागसय छिहनमिव यतपरिरमभलगनम
bhettā purāmupari bhasmana eva dhatte rāgasya chihnamiva yatparirambhalagnam
In the ancient city, flames rise high, yet you remain untouched, like a lotus amidst the mire, embodying the essence of love and devotion.
समाकममबुदघनसतनितोपमेŚु हेरमबबृ^िंहितविभूतिŚु भाŚितेŚु
asmākamambudaghanastanitopameŚu herambabṛ^iṃhitavibhūtiŚu bhāŚiteŚu
You are the essence of all that is auspicious, shining brightly like the sun, your glory illuminating the heavens and the earth.
सिदधोदयमानमतिलङघय निजापदानं बदधशरुतिरभवतु भरगगृ^िहसय नेत्री
siddhodyamānamatilṅghya nijāpadānaṃ baddhaśrutirbhavatu bhargagṛ^ihasya netrī
As the moon rises, may your grace bestow upon me the strength to overcome all obstacles, guiding my steps towards the path of righteousness.
सनदेह ेŚ मम छनदरकलाधरसय शुदधानतसुनदरि मनांसि सतां तवाङघरिः
sandeha eŚa mama chandrakalādharasya śuddhāntasundari manāṃsi satāṃ tavāṅghriḥ
O Divine Mother, with your enchanting form, you captivate the hearts of the virtuous, and your presence brings serenity to the troubled mind.
त्रैलोकयपालनविधायि विकसवराबज- शोभाविडमबि मणिपीठतटीविलमबि
trailokyapālanavidhāyi vikasvarābja- śobhāviḍambi maṇipīṭhataṭīvilambi
You, who govern the three worlds, radiate beauty and grace, seated upon the throne of jewels, bestowing blessings upon all.
कŚेमपरदायि हृ^िदये छरणं नयधायि किंवा न ते नगसुते यदि यं विपननः
kŚemapradāyi hṛ^idaye charaṇaṃ nyadhāyi kiṃvā na te nagasute yadi yaṃ vipannaḥ
O Giver of auspiciousness, may your heart guide me, for without your grace, even the mountains cannot provide solace.
विघनानि यनमुहुरिदं हृ^िदयं छलं यत सौखयं न किञछिदपि यदयदुपरयसौखयम
vighnāni yanmuhuridaṃ hṛ^idayaṃ chalaṃ yat saukhyaṃ na kiñchidapi yadyaduparyasaukhyam
In the heart, where troubles arise, may your presence bring joy, for true happiness is found only in your divine embrace.
तवामाशरितसय छ ममाखिललोकराज्ञी मततः परो जगति को मनुजेŚु कलकी
tvāmāśritasya cha mamākhilalokarājñī mattaḥ paro jagati ko manujeŚu kalkī
You are the queen of all worlds, O Divine Mother; who else among mortals can claim such a divine connection?
मा भूननिदेशवछनं नयनाञछलसय माभूतपरसारणमयि तयज निरदयतवम
mā bhūnnideśavachanaṃ nayanāñchalasya mābhūtprasāraṇamayi tyaja nirdayatvam
Do not let my eyes stray from your divine vision; may I never forget your compassion, for you are the essence of mercy.
ङगीकुरु सतुतगुणे छरणामबुजं ते धयातुं तदेव बहु मे भुवनसय मातः
aṅgīkuru stutaguṇe charaṇāmbujaṃ te dhyātuṃ tadeva bahu me bhuvanasya mātaḥ
May I sing your praises, O Lotus-footed One, for in doing so, I find the fulfillment of all my worldly desires.
कामं ददातु न दादतु मनो धिनोतु नो वा धिनोतु नयताददिवमनयतो वा
kāmaṃ dadātu na dādatu mano dhinotu no vā dhinotu nayatāddivamanyato vā
Grant me what I desire, or do not grant it; may my heart be guided by your will, for I surrender all to you.
ातमरपितो.यगजापदपङकजाय किं काङकŚते परतिफलं विपुलो.नुरागः
ātmarpito.ayagajāpadapaṅkajāya kiṃ kāṅkŚate pratiphalaṃ vipulo.anurāgaḥ
What is the desire of the heart, if not to be united with you, O Divine Lotus, who brings forth the fruits of devotion?
पादं ददासि मनसे किनु पापिनो मे पारिपलवाय भुवनाधिकवासनाय
pādaṃ dadāsi manase kinu pāpino me pāriplavāya bhuvanādhikavāsanāya
You bestow your grace upon the sinful; may I be uplifted from the depths of my misdeeds, finding refuge in your divine presence.
दूरे स तावदछलेनदरकुमारिका मे देवि परणाममुररीकुरु तावता.लम
dūre sa tāvadachalendrakumārikā me devi praṇāmamurarīkuru tāvatā.alam
O Devi, even from afar, may I bow to you with reverence, as the young maiden seeks the grace of the divine.
ाराधनं तव भवानि यथाविधानं करतुं कुलाछलकुमारि न परयामि
ārādhanaṃ tava bhavāni yathāvidhānaṃ kartuṃ kulāchalakumāri na parayāmi
I shall perform your worship, O Bhavani, with utmost devotion, for I am but a humble servant of your divine will.
पादारविनदयुगमेव तवानतो.हं पापाकुलः शरणमीशवरि काङकŚमाणः
pādārvindayugameva tavānato.ahaṃ pāpākulaḥ śaraṇamīśvari kāṅkŚamāṇaḥ
With humility, I bow at your sacred feet, O Mother; though I am burdened with sin, I seek your mercy.
बदधवरता परणतपापनिवारणे तवं बदधाञजलिशछ बहुपापसमाकुलो.हम
baddhavratā praṇatapāpanivāraṇe tvaṃ baddhāñjaliścha bahupāpasamākulo.aham
You are the remover of sins, O Divine Mother; with folded hands, I seek refuge from the weight of my misdeeds.
करतवयमदरितनये निपुणं विमृ^िशय निरधारयात्र न यथा यशसो विलोपः
kartavyamadritanaye nipuṇaṃ vimṛ^iśya nirdhārayātra na yathā yaśaso vilopaḥ
May I fulfill my duties with skill, O Mother, and may my name never fade from the annals of glory.
भवामि शिरसा नतसतव भवानि पादामबुजं वरतसय परिपालने यदि मतिरगतिरमे भव
bhavāmi śirasā natastava bhavāni pādāmbujaṃ vratasya paripālane yadi matirgatirme bhava
I bow my head in reverence, O Bhavani, at your lotus feet, may my heart find its refuge in your grace, as I strive to uphold the sacred vow.
तपशछरितुमुततमं परयतितं मयानेकदा परनतु बहुलैरधैः परिणतैरवृ^ितो.धवा मम
tapaścharitumuttamaṃ prayatitaṃ mayānekadā parantu bahulairadhaiḥ pariṇatairvṛ^ito.adhvā mama
With unwavering resolve, I shall endure the trials of penance, surrounded by the multitude of devotees, may my path be blessed by your divine presence.
यं मम दृ^िढो.ञजलिसतनुवियोगकालावधि - रयदि तवमछलवरतासयछलकनयके मामव
ayaṃ mama dṛ^iḍho.añjalistanuviyogakālāvadhi - ryadi tvamachalavratāsyachalakanyake māmava
In the sacred time of my devotion, may my gaze be fixed upon you, O unchanging one, and may I be enveloped in the shelter of your grace.
जेयबहुपापभृ^िदभुवि जनिŚयमाणः खलः कमीशदयिते पुरा न विदितसतवायं जनः
ajeyabahupāpabhṛ^idbhuvi janiŚyamāṇaḥ khalaḥ kamīśadayite purā na viditastavāyaṃ janaḥ
In this world, the wicked are born, unaware of your eternal truth, O compassionate one, may they find redemption through your divine mercy.
वरतं कृ^ितमिदं तवया परमसाहसोपेतया कवा वा जननि योŚितां जगति दीरघमालोछनम
vrataṃ kṛ^itamidaṃ tvayā paramasāhasopetayā kvā vā janani yoŚitāṃ jagati dīrghamālochanam
This vow, born of your supreme courage, O Mother, shines forth like a beacon in the world, may it illuminate the path for all beings.
िहापुरधमरŚणानययश ेव भूतवा मुधा वयलोकि नियमैसतथा न बहुलैशछा कशछिजजयः
ihāpuradhamarŚaṇānyayaśa eva bhūtvā mudhā vyaloki niyamaistathā na bahulaiśchā kaśchijjayaḥ
In the realm of righteousness, may I see the truth of your teachings, and may I not be swayed by the multitude of distractions that abound.
सथिरं न मदधकŚये मदधतेजसा भूयसा वरतं छ तव कुणठितं यदि ममैव कीरतिः परा
sthiraṃ na madadhakŚaye madadhatejasā bhūyasā vrataṃ cha tava kuṇṭhitaṃ yadi mamaiva kīrtiḥ parā
Steadfast in my devotion, may I not falter, even in the face of adversity, for your name, O Mother, is my eternal strength.
कŚये यदि मदेनसामसुकरे न धीरं मनो न ते नगपतेः सुते किमपि छिनतयमेततकृ^िते
kŚaye yadi madenasāmasukare na dhīraṃ mano na te nagapateḥ sute kimapi chintyametatkṛ^ite
If my mind wavers under the weight of desires, what can I say of the son of the mountain? Yet, I shall remain devoted to your service.
वरतं विसृ^िज तनमुधा ननु वधूसवभावातकृ^ितं सथिरीभवतु दुरविधिरभुवि तव परसदादबली
vrataṃ visṛ^ija tanmudhā nanu vadhūsvabhāvātkṛ^itaṃ sthirībhavatu durvidhirbhuvi tava prasadādbalī
May this vow, born of the essence of my being, remain firm, and may your divine presence strengthen me against the trials of life.
कृ^ितं परमयतनशछिरमनुजझितं शरदधया भृ^ितं बहुविधोदयमैरविजितं महापातकैः
kṛ^itaṃ paramayatnaśchiramanujjhitaṃ śraddhayā bhṛ^itaṃ bahuvidhodyamairavijitaṃ mahāpātakaiḥ
With utmost sincerity, I undertake this vow, may it shield me from the great sins that threaten to engulf me.
गतं धनतरं यशो जयति पापजातं मम वरतं छ तव तादृ^िशं जननि कसय वा सयाजजयः
gataṃ dhanataraṃ yaśo jayati pāpajātaṃ mam vrataṃ cha tava tādṛ^iśaṃ janani kasya vā syājjayaḥ
May my fame and fortune flourish, as I uphold this vow, O Mother, may your blessings guide me through the darkness.
मदीयदुरितावलिपरलयकालकादमबिनी मदोननतविजृ^िमभणं वृ^िजनभङगबदधवरते
madīyaduritāvalipralayakālakādambinī madonnatavijṛ^imbhaṇaṃ vṛ^ijanabhaṅgabaddhavrate
In the face of calamity, may I find refuge in your grace, as I strive to overcome the burdens of my past.
भवपरियतमे निजपरबलहुङकृ^ितिपरोदधत - परभञजनमहौजसा शमय पालयातमवरतम
bhavapriyatame nijaprabalahuṅkṛ^itiproddhata - prabhañjanamahaujasā śamaya pālayātmavratam
O beloved of the universe, may your strength protect me, as I navigate the ocean of worldly troubles.
धकŚयविधौ तु ते परिणता परीपकवता विभेदकथनं कथं पृ^ीथुलवैभवे युजयते
adhakŚayavidhau tu te pariṇatā parīpakvatā vibhedakathanaṃ kathaṃ pṛ^īthulavaibhave yujyate
In the vastness of your divine form, may I find unity, as I seek to understand the mysteries of creation.
िदं तव विगरहणं परिणतैनसं वा सतुति - रमनो यदि मृ^िडानि ते जगति साधयमेवाखिलम
idaṃ tava vigarhaṇaṃ pariṇatainasaṃ vā stuti - rmano yadi mṛ^iḍāni te jagati sādhyamevākhilam
If my devotion falters, may your grace restore me, for in this world, may I fulfill my purpose through your blessings.
सहसरनयनादिभिः सुरवरैः समाराधिता सहसरकिरणपरभा सितमरीछिशीता मम
sahasranayanādibhiḥ suravaraiḥ samārādhitā sahasrakiraṇaprabhā sitamarīchiśītā mama
Adored by celestial beings with a thousand eyes, may your radiant light dispel the darkness that surrounds me.
सहसरदलपङकजे कृ^ितनिकेतना देहिनां सहसरदललोछना दुरितसनततिं कृ^िनततु
sahasradalapaṅkaje kṛ^itaniketanā dehināṃ sahasradalalochanā duritasantatiṃ kṛ^intatu
In the lotus of your heart, may I find my dwelling, as I strive to overcome the trials of existence.
सरोजभवसंसतुता सकललोकराजयेशवरी करोपमितपललवा करुणयानतरुललोलिता
sarojabhavasaṃstutā sakalalokarājyeśvarī karopamitapallavā karuṇayāntarullolitā
O Queen of the world, may your compassion flow like a river, nurturing all beings with your loving grace.
ुरोरुहभरालसा मयपुरारिसममोहिनी करोतु मदघकŚयं कुमुदलोछना काछन
uroruhabharālasā mayapurārisammohinī karotu madaghakŚayaṃ kumudalochanā kāchana
May the beauty of your presence, O enchanting one, captivate my heart, as I seek to serve you with unwavering devotion.
छतुरथं दशकम (शारदूलविकरीडितवृ^िततम) कालामभोधरछारुसानदरकबरि पूरणेनदुबिमबानना ताटङकदयुतिधौतगणडफलका तामबूलरकताधरा
chaturthaṃ daśakam (śārdūlavikrīḍitavṛ^ittam) kālāmbhodharachārusāndrakabari pūrṇendubimbānanā tāṭaṅkadyutidhautagaṇḍaphalakā tāmbūlaraktādharā
With the grace of the divine, the mountain of time, adorned with the beauty of the moon, fills the skies with its splendor. The radiant light of the stars dances in the heavens, while the earth is graced by the touch of your sacred feet.
परालेयदयुतिबालकेन रछितोततंसा हराङकासना शानता नूतनपललवाभछरणा भूतयै शिवा छिनतयते
prāleyadyutibālakena rachitottaṃsā harāṅkāsanā śāntā nūtanapallavābhacharaṇā bhūtyai śivā chintyate
O Goddess, seated in the abode of tranquility, you are the essence of all that is auspicious. With your gentle touch, you bring forth new life, and with your divine will, you sever the bonds of existence.
शरीपादं तवशैलराजदुहितः भासवतकरासफालन - परोदभुदधामबुजसुनदरं शरुतिवधूछूडातटीलालितम
śrīpādaṃ tavaśailarājaduhitaḥ bhāsvatkarāsphālana - prodbhuddhāmbujasundaraṃ śrutivadhūchūḍātaṭīlālitam
O daughter of the mountain, your feet shine like the sun, bestowing the fruits of knowledge. In your presence, the celestial maidens sing, and the world is enchanted by your beauty.
यसयाशछामरधारिणी सरसिजपरासादसञछारिणी वागदेवी हृ^िदयेशवरपरभृ^ितयो नाकौकसः किङकराः
yasyāśchāmaradhāriṇī sarasijaprāsādasañchāriṇī vāgdevī hṛ^idayeśvaraprabhṛ^itayo nākaukasaḥ kiṅkarāḥ
O Goddess of speech, who holds the sacred lotus, may your divine presence fill our hearts with wisdom. Let the celestial beings serve you, as we bow in reverence at your feet.
देवः कैरवबनधुकोरकधरो लीलासहायः सखा तसयाः पादसरोजवनदिपदवीं पापतो.समयहं भागयतः
devaḥ kairavabandhukorakadharo līlāsahāyaḥ sakhā tasyāḥ pādasarojavandipadavīṃ pāpto.asmyahaṃ bhāgyataḥ
O divine friend, who supports the lotus of creation, may your playful grace lead us away from sin. We seek refuge at your lotus feet, where all miseries cease.
पादसय करियते कŚणानतकतिछन धयानं जगदधात्रि ते यततसयेभघटाकुलाङगनमहीशरीरनानुरुपं फलम
pādasya kriyate kŚaṇāntakatichana dhyānaṃ jagaddhātri te yattasyebhaghaṭākulāṅganamahīśrīrnānurupaṃ phalam
As the world is nourished by your grace, may the fruits of our devotion bloom in abundance. O Mother, may our hearts be filled with your divine essence.
नोदगारो मधुमाधुरिमदमुŚां सवाभाविको वा गिरां साधीयसतु फलं यदीशवरि पुनरधयातुं मतिरजायते
nodgāro madhumādhurimadamuŚāṃ svābhāviko vā girāṃ sādhīyastu phalaṃ yadīśvari punardhyātuṃ matirjāyate
Let the sweetness of your presence fill our lives, O Goddess. If our minds stray, may we return to your divine embrace, where true happiness resides.
देवि तवछछरणारविनदयुगलधयानसय केछितफलं मनयनते रथवाजिसामजवधूसौधादिरूपां शरियम
devi tvachcharaṇāravindayugaladhyānasya kechitphalaṃ manyante rathavājisāmajavadhūsaudhādirūpāṃ śriyam
O Devi, as we meditate upon your sacred feet, may we receive the fruits of our devotion. In the chariot of life, may we find the strength to overcome all obstacles.
पीयूŚदरवसारवैभवमुŚां वाछां परे पाटवं पराज्ञाः साधनमादितः परिणतौ पाहुः फलं ततसवयम
pīyūŚadravasāravaibhavamuŚāṃ vāchāṃ pare pāṭavaṃ prājñāḥ sādhanamāditaḥ pariṇatau pāhuḥ phalaṃ tatsvayam
O Goddess, who embodies the essence of prosperity, may your blessings lead us to success. In your divine play, may we find fulfillment and joy.
लोभः कुत्रछिदसति कुत्रछिदसौ रोŚः परं भीŚणः कुत्रापयेŚ मनोभवो.तिमलिने सवानते निशानते मम
lobhaḥ kutrachidasti kutrachidasau roŚaḥ paraṃ bhīŚaṇaḥ kutrāpyeŚa manobhavo.atimaline svānte niśānte mama
Wherever greed may arise, may we find the strength to overcome it. O Mother, in the darkness of ignorance, may your light guide us to wisdom.
ेतसयापयहहादरिराजतनुजे कोणे तवदीयं पदं खेटीमसतकलालितं शुछितमं वाञCहामि करतुं खलः
etasyāpyahahādrirājatanuje koṇe tvadīyaṃ padaṃ kheṭīmastakalālitaṃ śuchitamaṃ vāñChāmi kartuṃ khalaḥ
In the corner of my heart, I yearn for your divine presence. O Goddess, may I be blessed to serve you with purity and devotion.
कनदरपेण निवारितं परहसता लोभेन निरभरतसितं मातसरयेण तिरसकृ^ितं मदमहानागेन छा.भिदरुतम
kandarpeṇa nivāritaṃ prahasatā lobhena nirbhartsitaṃ mātsaryeṇa tiraskṛ^itaṃ madamahānāgena chā.abhidrutam
O Mother, dispel the darkness of ignorance, and grant me the strength to overcome the allure of worldly desires. May your grace protect me from all harm.
दुरभरानतया गलहसति तं बत पुनः करोधेन धूतं बला - दपयेततपदममब ते विशति मे छेतो.सय वरणया कृ^िपा
durbhrāntyā galahasti taṃ bata punaḥ krodhena dhūtaṃ balā - dapyetatpadamamba te viśati me cheto.asya varṇyā kṛ^ipā
In the face of adversity, may I find solace in your divine love. O Mother, may your compassion cleanse my heart and guide me on the path of righteousness.

ललितया नतपालनलोलया परमथनाथमनोहरलीलया
lalitayā natapālanalolayā pramathanāthamanoharalīlayā
With your enchanting play, O beloved of the Lord of the Universe, may you protect and nurture those who bow before you.
किरिमुखीमुखशकतयुपजीवयया विदितयादितया गतिमानहम
kirimukhīmukhaśaktyupajīvyayā viditayāditayā gatimānaham
With the power of your divine face, may you bestow upon me the knowledge of the eternal path.
मृ^ितदीधितिपोवतंसया कृ^ितपदानतपापनिरासया
amṛ^itadīdhitipovataṃsayā kṛ^itapadānatapāpanirāsayā
With the light of your grace, may I be freed from the burdens of sin and find solace in your divine feet.
गतिमदरधनरकृ^ितिछित्रया भुवनमेव न मे कुलमारयया
gatimadardhanarakṛ^itichitrayā bhuvanameva na me kulamāryayā
In the realm of existence, may I not be forsaken, for you are my eternal refuge, O divine mother.
गणयं न छ गोŚपदवदयदि त्रिभुवनं कुतले न तरामि किम
agaṇayaṃ na cha goŚpadavadyadi tribhuvanaṃ kutale na tarāmi kim
I do not fear the trials of the three worlds, for I am sheltered by your compassionate presence.
शरणवानहमुततमभावया गिरिजयारिजयावितदेवया
śaraṇavānahamuttamabhāvayā girijayārijayāvitadevayā
In the highest devotion, I seek refuge in you, O Girija, who conquers the foes of the heart.
सकरुणा कुशलं तव रेणुकातनुरुमा तनुतादुदितो यतः
sakaruṇā kuśalaṃ tava reṇukātanurumā tanutādudito yataḥ
With compassion, may your tender form, O Renuka, rise to bless me with auspiciousness.
युधि मुनिरविदधौ परशुं दधजजनपतीनपतीवर भुजामदान
yudhi munirvidadhau paraśuṃ dadhajjanapatīnapatīvra bhujāmadān
In battle, the sage wielded his axe, a protector of the realms, with strength unmatched.
दशरथातमजपूजितमीशवरं विदधती रतिनाथवशं गतम
daśarathātmajapūjitamīśvaraṃ vidadhatī ratināthavaśaṃ gatam
He who is worshipped by Dasharatha, the Lord of all, draws me into the embrace of love.
दिशतु वः कुशलं नगवरधिनी हरिहयारिहयान मृ^िगेशवरा
diśatu vaḥ kuśalaṃ nagavardhinī harihayārihayāna mṛ^igeśvarā
May you grant us well-being, O protector of the mountains, as you guide the steeds of the divine.
जननि शुमभनिशुमभमहासुरोनमथन विशरुतविकरमया तवया
janani śumbhaniśumbhamahāsuronmathana viśrutavikramayā tvayā
O mother, who churns the ocean of demons, may your glorious deeds be sung throughout the ages.
जगदरकŚयत गोपकुलेशितुः तनुजयानुजयारजुनसारथेः
jagadarakŚyata gopakuleśituḥ tanujayānujayārjunasāratheḥ
You who protect the world, O Lord of the cowherds, may your progeny be blessed with valor.
छरणयोरधृ^ितया विजयामहे जगति माररिपुपरियभामया
charaṇayordhṛ^itayā vijayāmahe jagati māraripupriyabhāmayā
With steadfast devotion, may we triumph in this world, guided by your radiant light.
शशिकलामलमनदरहासया नगजया गजयानविलासया
śaśikalāmalamandarahāsayā nagajayā gajayānavilāsayā
With the moon-like smile and the grace of an elephant, may you bring joy to my heart.
िममगाधिपननदिनि कलकिनं रुŚमपोहय हरसय विलोकितैः
imamagādhipanandini kalkinaṃ ruŚamapohya harasya vilokitaiḥ
In the presence of the king of the earth, may I behold the divine beauty that captivates the heart.
कलुŚनाशनभीमदृ^िशोललसनमदनकैरवकैरवलोछने
kaluŚanāśanabhīmadṛ^iśollasanmadanakairavakairavalochane
O fierce destroyer of evil, may your enchanting gaze bring forth the sweetness of divine love.
नवमं दशकम (ारयावृ^ियततम) स जयति पुणयकुलेŚु भरामयन गणनाथमातुरालोकः
navamaṃ daśakam (āryāvṛ^iyttam) sa jayati puṇyakuleŚu bhrāmyan gaṇanāthamāturālokaḥ
In the lineage of the virtuous, may victory arise, O Mother, as we behold the divine essence of the Lord of Hosts.
यमनुछरतो जनारदनकुलतरुणी देवता छ गिराम
yamanucharato janārdanakulataruṇī devatā cha girām
As the beloved of Janardana walks the path, may the celestial beings grace our speech.
कसय परबलपरतिभटभुजकणडूवारणं महदवीरयम
kasya prabalapratibhaṭabhujakaṇḍūvāraṇaṃ mahadvīryam
In the realm of valor, where the mighty warriors dwell, may we find strength in the fierce embrace of your power.
कसय गिरामिह सरगो युगसय परिवरतने.पि पटुः
kasya girāmiha sargo yugasya parivartane.api paṭuḥ
In the sacred abode, where the ages converge, may we be skilled in the art of divine transformation.
कसय पुनरनतरातमनि सङगसहसरैरछालिता निŚठा
kasya punarantarātmani saṅgasahasrairachālitā niŚṭhā
Once more, may we rise from the depths of despair, surrounded by countless companions on the path.
धूरजटिदियते युŚमददृ^िगनतभृ^ितमनतरा धनयम
dhūrjaṭidiyate yuŚmaddṛ^igantabhṛ^itamantarā dhanyam
With the dust of your feet, O Mother, may we be adorned with the wealth of divine vision.
यसय निदानमविदया ममकारः पूरवरूपमङकुरितः
yasya nidānamavidyā mamakāraḥ pūrvarūpamaṅkuritaḥ
In the essence of knowledge, may my actions bloom forth, revealing the form of the eternal.
रूपं तापत्रितयं सतसङगः किञछिदुपशानतयै
rūpaṃ tāpatritayaṃ satsaṅgaḥ kiñchidupaśāntayai
The threefold heat of existence, may it find solace in the company of the righteous.
नतःकरणं सथानं परकोपनो विŚयपञछकाभयासः
antaḥkaraṇaṃ sthānaṃ prakopano viŚayapañchakābhyāsaḥ
O Mother, may our hearts be free from the fear of worldly attachments, as we seek refuge in your grace.
मुकतिः सुŚुपतिसमये पुनरगमनाय घोराय
muktiḥ suŚuptisamaye punaragamanāya ghorāya
In the moment of liberation, may we return to the blissful state of existence, free from the terrors of life.
लोभाभिलाŚरोŚाः कफमारुतमायवसत्रयो दोŚाः
lobhābhilāŚaroŚāḥ kaphamārutamāyavastrayo doŚāḥ
Desires that cling like shadows, may they be dispelled by the winds of your compassion.
रुछिः पथये भूयसयनुबनधोपदरवो घोरः
aruchiḥ pathye bhūyasyanubandhopadravo ghoraḥ
May the path be clear, as we traverse the wilderness of existence, overcoming the horrors that lie ahead.
तसय परयछCह शमनं संसाराखयजवरसय भूरिकृ^िपे
tasya prayachCha śamanaṃ saṃsārākhyajvarasya bhūrikṛ^ipe
In your mercy, O Mother, may we find relief from the fever of worldly suffering.
मृ^ितयुञजयसय भामिनि भेŚजमालोकितं नाम
mṛ^ityuñjayasya bhāmini bheŚajamālokitaṃ nāma
In the embrace of death, may we find the jewel of your grace, shining forth in the darkness.
भवदीयसय भवानि परसिदधछरिते कटाकŚमेघसय
bhavadīyasya bhavāni prasiddhacharite kaṭākŚameghasya
O Bhavani, in your divine play, may we witness the storm of your glory.
परावृ^िटपरितापहृ^ितो भवयामृ^ितवरŚिणः करुणा
prāvṛ^iṭparitāpahṛ^ito bhavyāmṛ^itavarŚiṇaḥ karuṇā
As the rains of compassion wash away our burdens, may we be reborn in the light of your mercy.
राजोगरदृ^िŚटिरुगरो युवराजः सनततं मदोपेतः
rājogradṛ^iŚṭirugro yuvarājaḥ santataṃ madopetaḥ
O Royal One, may the gaze of your compassion dispel the darkness of ignorance.
तव राज्ञि न करुणा छेदभुवनसय कथं शुभं भवतु
tava rājñi na karuṇā chedbhuvanasya kathaṃ śubhaṃ bhavatu
O Queen, may your grace shine upon the world, bringing forth auspiciousness.
राज्ञि तव दृ^िŚटिरवने विनतानामपि सदैव खेलनतयाः
rājñi tava dṛ^iŚṭiravane vinatānāmapi sadaiva khelantyāḥ
In your sight, O Royal One, may the humble find joy in the dance of life.
तपतो.पि नितयमीशो लोलो लिलासु ते भवति
tapato.api nityamīśo lolo lilāsu te bhavati
Even in the heat of penance, may your playful spirit guide us towards the eternal.
दशमं दशकम (शशिवदनावृ^िततम) पदकमलापत त्रिकलुŚहरत्री
daśamaṃ daśakam (śaśivadanāvṛ^ittam) padakamalāpta trikaluŚahartrī
O Lotus of the Ten Directions, adorned with the moon-like face, you are the Triad of the Three Worlds.
जयति शिवेति त्रिभुवनभरत्री
jayati śiveti tribhuvanabhartrī
Victory to you, O Shiva, who encompasses all the three realms.
धितनुदृ^िŚटिसतटिदधिभूतम
adhitanudṛ^iŚṭistaṭidadhibhūtam
With the strength of your gaze, you illuminate the essence of all beings.
परमथपतेः सा सुदृ^िगधिदैवम
pramathapateḥ sā sudṛ^igadhidaivam
You are the divine form of the Supreme Lord, the one who grants auspiciousness.
सवनयनवृ^ितौ सथिरछरणानाम
svanayanavṛ^itau sthiracharaṇānām
In the shelter of your loving eyes, the steadfast feet find their refuge.
दविदलसरोजे भगवति भासि
dvidalasaroje bhagavati bhāsi
O Goddess, you shine like the twin lotuses, bestowing grace upon the world.
दहरसरोजे निहितपदानाम
daharasaroje nihitapadānām
In the delicate lotus of the heart, your feet are hidden, bringing peace.
दविदलसरोजादवतरसि तवम
dvidalasarojādavatarasi tvam
From the twin lotuses, you descend, O Divine One, to bless the faithful.
यि कुलकुणडे धृ^ितछरणानाम
ayi kulakuṇḍe dhṛ^itacharaṇānām
In the sacred abode of the family, you hold the feet of the devoted.
दशशतपत्रं वरजसि तपनती
daśaśatapatraṃ vrajasi tapantī
With ten hundred petals, you shine like the sun, illuminating all.
दहरसरोजे दृ^िशमपिहितवा
daharasaroje dṛ^iśamapihitvā
In the delicate lotus of the heart, your vision is concealed.
विŚयपराणां सखलसि बहिसतवम
viŚayaparāṇāṃ skhalasi bahistvam
O beloved, you reside beyond the reach of worldly attachments.
सखलसि यतसतवं स भवति हीनः
skhalasi yatastvaṃ sa bhavati hīnaḥ
Wherever your essence is, there lies the path to liberation.
विलससि यसमिन स खलु महातमा
vilasasi yasmin sa khalu mahātmā
In the brilliance of your presence, the great souls find their abode.
दृ^िशि दृ^िशि छिततवं हृ^िदि हृ^िदि सतता
dṛ^iśi dṛ^iśi chittvaṃ hṛ^idi hṛ^idi sattā
In every glance, in every heartbeat, your essence is ever-present.
परतिनरशीरŚं परमदकला.सि
pratinaraśīrŚaṃ pramadakalā.asi
You are the supreme art of the divine, the essence of all creation.
तव लहरीŚु त्रिपुरविरोधी
tava laharīŚu tripuravirodhī
In your waves, O Goddess, you vanquish the forces of the three cities.
किमिव न छित्रं जननि करोति
kimiva na chitraṃ janani karoti
What wonder, O Mother, do you not perform?
हरशिरसो गौरयवसि जगततवम
haraśiraso gauryavasi jagattvam
O Lord of the Universe, you are the essence of all that exists.
गणपतिशीरŚादव मुनिभूमिम
gaṇapatiśīrŚādava munibhūmim
In the realm of the sages, you are the supreme deity, the essence of all.
िति शरीभगवनमहरŚिरमणानतेवासिनो वासिŚठसय नरसिंहसूनोः गणपतेः कृ^ितिः ुमाशतकं समापतम
iti śrībhagavanmaharŚiramaṇāntevāsino vāsiŚṭhasya narasiṃhasūnoḥ gaṇapateḥ kṛ^itiḥ umāśatakaṃ samāptam
Thus concludes the sacred hymn, the Uma Shatakam, dedicated to the Divine Lord, the Supreme Being, the revered Narayana, the protector of all, and the son of Narasimha, the remover of obstacles, and the beloved Ganapati.
