Vakratunda Ganesha Kavacham

श्री गणेश स्तोत्राणि
mauliṁ mahēśaputrō:'vyādbhālaṁ pātu vināyakaḥ
O Lord Ganesha, may the one with a curved trunk protect me.
मौलिं महेशपुत्रोऽव्याद्भालं पातु विनायकः ।
trinētraḥ pātu mē nētrē śūrpakarṇō:'vatu śrutī
May the son of Maheshwara protect my forehead.
त्रिनेत्रः पातु मे नेत्रे शूर्पकर्णोऽवतु श्रुती ॥ १ ॥
hērambō rakṣatu ghrāṇaṁ mukhaṁ pātu gajānanaḥ
May the three-eyed one protect my eyes; may the one with large ears protect my hearing.
हेरम्बो रक्षतु घ्राणं मुखं पातु गजाननः ।
jihvāṁ pātu gaṇēśō mē kaṇṭhaṁ śrīkaṇṭhavallabhaḥ
May Hēramba protect my nose; may Gajānana protect my face.
जिह्वां पातु गणेशो मे कण्ठं श्रीकण्ठवल्लभः ॥ २ ॥
skandhau mahābalaḥ pātu vighnahā pātu mē bhujau
May Ganesha protect my tongue; may the beloved of Śrīkaṇṭha protect my throat.
स्कन्धौ महाबलः पातु विघ्नहा पातु मे भुजौ ।
karau paraśubhr̥tpātu hr̥dayaṁ skandapūrvajaḥ
May the mighty one protect my shoulders; may Vighnahara protect my arms.
करौ परशुभृत्पातु हृदयं स्कन्दपूर्वजः ॥ ३ ॥
madhyaṁ lambōdaraḥ pātu nābhiṁ sindūrabhūṣitaḥ
May the one with the axe protect my hands; may the one born of Skanda protect my heart.
मध्यं लम्बोदरः पातु नाभिं सिन्दूरभूषितः ।
jaghanaṁ pārvatīputraḥ sakthinī pātu pāśabhr̥t
May the one with a pot-bellied form protect my abdomen; may the one adorned with vermilion protect my hips.
जघनं पार्वतीपुत्रः सक्थिनी पातु पाशभृत् ॥ ४ ॥
jānunī jagatāṁ nāthō jaṅghē mūṣakavāhanaḥ
May the son of Parvati protect my thighs; may the one who carries a noose protect my knees.
जानुनी जगतां नाथो जङ्घे मूषकवाहनः ।
pādau padmāsanaḥ pātu pādādhō daityadarpahā
May the lord of the universe protect my shins; may the one who rides a mouse protect my ankles.
पादौ पद्मासनः पातु पादाधो दैत्यदर्पहा ॥ ५ ॥
ēkadantō:'grataḥ pātu pr̥ṣṭhē pātu gaṇādhipaḥ
May the lotus-seated one protect my feet; may the one who destroys the pride of demons protect my soles.
एकदन्तोऽग्रतः पातु पृष्ठे पातु गणाधिपः ।
pārśvayōrmōdakāhārō digvidikṣu ca siddhidaḥ
May the one with a single tusk protect me from the front; may the lord of the Ganas protect me from behind.
पार्श्वयोर्मोदकाहारो दिग्विदिक्षु च सिद्धिदः ॥ ६ ॥
vrajatastiṣṭhatō vāpi jāgrataḥ svapatō:'śnataḥ
May the one who enjoys modaka on both sides grant me success in all directions.
व्रजतस्तिष्ठतो वापि जाग्रतः स्वपतोऽश्नतः ।
caturthīvallabhō dēvaḥ pātu mē bhuktimuktidaḥ
Whether I am walking, standing, awake, or asleep, may the fourth lord protect me and grant me both enjoyment and liberation.
चतुर्थीवल्लभो देवः पातु मे भुक्तिमुक्तिदः ॥ ७ ॥
idaṁ pavitraṁ stōtraṁ ca caturthyāṁ niyataḥ paṭhēt
This pure hymn should be recited regularly on the fourth day.
इदं पवित्रं स्तोत्रं च चतुर्थ्यां नियतः पठेत् ।
sindūraraktaḥ kusumairdūrvayā pūjya vighnapam
The red color of the sindoor, with flowers and grass, is worshipped to remove obstacles.
सिन्दूररक्तः कुसुमैर्दूर्वया पूज्य विघ्नपम् ॥ ८ ॥
rājā rājasutō rājapatnī mantrī kulaṁ calam
The king, the king's son, the queen, and the minister are all part of the family that is ever-changing.
राजा राजसुतो राजपत्नी मन्त्री कुलं चलम् ।
tasyāvaśyaṁ bhavēdvaśyaṁ vighnarājaprasādataḥ
By the grace of the king of obstacles, it is certain that one will be under control.
तस्यावश्यं भवेद्वश्यं विघ्नराजप्रसादतः ॥ ९ ॥
samantrayantraṁ yaḥ stōtraṁ karē saṁlikhya dhārayēt
Whoever recites this hymn with the right mantras will hold it firmly.
समन्त्रयन्त्रं यः स्तोत्रं करे संलिख्य धारयेत् ।
dhanadhānyasamr̥ddhiḥ syāttasya nāstyatra saṁśayaḥ
There is no doubt that wealth and prosperity will come to him.
धनधान्यसमृद्धिः स्यात्तस्य नास्त्यत्र संशयः ॥ १० ॥

अस्य मन्त्रः ।
aiṁ klīṁ hrīṁ vakratuṇḍāya hum
Aim, Kleem, Hreem, to the curved trunk, Hum.
ऐं क्लीं ह्रीं वक्रतुण्डाय हुम् । रसलक्षं सदैकाग्र्यः षडङ्गन्यासपूर्वकम् ।
rasalakṣaṁ sadaikāgryaḥ ṣaḍaṅganyāsapūrvakam
With the essence of rasas, always focused, preceded by the six-fold nyasa.
हुत्वा तदन्ते विधिवदष्टद्रव्यं पयो घृतम् ॥ ११ ॥
hutvā tadantē vidhivadaṣṭadravyaṁ payō ghr̥tam
After offering the prescribed substances, including milk and ghee,
यं यं काममभिध्यायन् कुरुते कर्म किञ्चन ।
yaṁ yaṁ kāmamabhidhyāyan kurutē karma kiñcana
Whatever desire one contemplates and performs any action,
तं तं सर्वमवाप्नोति वक्रतुण्डप्रसादतः ॥ १२ ॥
taṁ taṁ sarvamavāpnōti vakratuṇḍaprasādataḥ
That person will attain everything by the grace of the curved trunk.
भृगुप्रणीतं यः स्तोत्रं पठते भुवि मानवः ।
bhr̥gupraṇītaṁ yaḥ stōtraṁ paṭhatē bhuvi mānavaḥ
Whoever recites this hymn composed by Bhrigu on earth will attain great wealth.
भवेदव्याहतैश्वर्यः स गणेशप्रसादतः ॥ १३ ॥
bhavēdavyāhataiśvaryaḥ sa gaṇēśaprasādataḥ
By the grace of Ganesh, he will be free from all obstacles.
इति गणेशरक्षाकरं स्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम् ।
iti gaṇēśarakṣākaraṁ stōtraṁ sampūrṇam
Thus, the hymn for the protection of Ganesh is complete.
