Parashara Smriti


According to the Puranic genealogy, Parashar Rishi is actually the grandson of Brahmarishi Vasishth and therefore, a great-grandson of the Creator-god Brahma. He is also the first sage to have written down a Puran (Vishnu Puran) while the others were penned by his son, Vyas. Parashara Smriti contains 12 chapters dealing with different aspects of life, explaining the social order brahmins wanted to established and means they used to do so, it states relation between men and women , human and amnimal, diff caste and different sins commited intentionally or unintentionally and remedies to those sins.
