Chandi Devi Temple

Devotees specifically flock to the temple during significant occasions such as the Kumbh Mela, Navratri, and the festival of Chandi Chaudas. Notably, Chandi Devi Haridwar is located in close proximity to another temple honoring Anjana, the mother of Lord Hanuman, often prompting devotees to plan visits to both sites.
Situated approximately four kilometers away from Har ki Pauri, reaching the temple involves either trekking or utilizing the Chandi Devi Udankhadola ropeway. Devotees hold great esteem for the morning aarti, which commences at 5:30 am as per the Haridwar temple timings. According to mythology, Chandi Devi represents an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, who assumed this form to vanquish the demons Shumba and Nishumba.
