Chidambaram, often referred to as Kovil, is a renowned Saivite shrine located in the heart of the Chola region of Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the Panchabhoota Stalams, representing the five elements, with Chidambaram symbolizing space (akash), while the others signify wind (Kalahasti), water (Tiruvanaikka), fire (Tiruvannamalai), and earth (Kanchipuram).
